DID “SAINT” MARK HATFIELD WALK ON WATER?
PART 1

While the eight Republican presidential candidates debated in Iowa on August 11th, the family of Senator Mark Hatfield was making August 13th funeral arrangements for their beloved 89-year-old husband and father. The Oregon flag was lowered and there will be three services concluding with the really big one at the Oregon Capitol where he got his start in Oregon politics in 1954 when he was elected to the Oregon Senate – a bachelor at the time – and later elected governor in 1958. At age 36 he was the youngest person ever elected Oregon governor. He married his wife Antoinette on July 8th in 1958. They have four children.[1]

People of all stripes will honor him at a Memorial service at the Capitol on September 24th when they come to remember his many years of public service and how he was always there to help them maneuver through all the federal government red tape after he was elected U.S. Senator in 1966 – red tape that he either helped create or did nothing to try to eliminate. One of the worst tragedies of our current economic crisis is how successful businesses comply without complaining. They crawl to some unconstitutional government agency to beg for the right to do business and then they donate money to politicians to be re-elected that may have caused the problem in the first place.

Frankly, I’m surprised our Capitalistic system has lasted as long as it has under this United Nations administrative government.

Some of the things I’m going to expose about Hatfield’s voting record and affiliations will no doubt bring the wrath of God down upon me by many folks who just can’t stand to hear the truth about the guy they think walked on water. How do you think he became known as the “Saint?” This isn’t going to be just about Hatfield, however. I’m only using his political career as an example because I’m more familiar with it. But today we have bloggers – former whistle blowers on the inside that know and are now exposing things that have flown under the radar for too long. In addition, I got involved in local politics and saw what was going on behind the scenes and how the established state GOP threatened us if we didn’t stick with the party line and keep our mouths shut.

SILVERTON, OREGON ON THE MAP

Every time Hatfield decided to run again for the U.S. Senate, he’d go to a church in Silverton, Oregon where he first announced. It was tradition and so it was in 1989 when he went to the little church to announce his candidacy seeking a fifth term in the Senate where he encountered some protesters. All the years in politics, he never lost a race but he found himself in the battle of his life against Democrat challenger Harry Lonsdale who said Hatfield’s environmental record was abysmal and that he was wrong on choice and wrong on timber, a vital resource for Oregon. One pundit said Hatfield had been transformed by the election from “a gentleman into a modern politician.”

The sleepy little town of Silverton, Oregon gained national attention a couple years ago when the people elected a transsexual mayor who paraded around town, with the blessing of his staff, revealing cleavage, short skirts and high heels. A Christian talk show host in Salem took great delight in discussing Silverton’s transgender mayor. Oregon’s Democrat Representative David Wu became the fourth member of Congress to resign this year in the wake of a sex scandal and gave the talk show host, a family friend of the Hatfields, another subject to discuss. One editorial said Wu’s inner circle protected him for years, maybe decades, and prevented the public from knowing about his true behavior.

And then on August 13th Salem’s Basic Rights of Oregon – the largest gay-rights organization held a meeting to plan a voter-education campaign aimed at overturning Oregon’s 2004 Constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. Keynote speaker was Oregon’s Secretary of State Kate Brown, the highest-ranking openly bisexual politician in the nation. There is nothing the homosexual community loves more than to “out” some politician so they can claim how “normal” this lifestyle is. The bigger the fish, the better the prize! Mike Royko, a Chicago Tribune columnist who won the 1972 Pulitzer Prize for commentary on 4/3/1990 had an article about how the militant gays were opening closets and ‘outing” shy homosexuals.

Hatfield earned a master’s degree in political science in 1947-48 from Stanford University and later became an instructor in 1949 at Willamette University, a college founded on Christian principles with Methodist roots but since has long departed from that principle and now promotes “social justice” aka known as Socialism. On 4/9/1996 William Smaldone, an associate professor of history at Willamette U. and co-vice chairman to the Socialist party of Oregon had a guest opinion in the local paper, “Find Option to Two-Party System.” I infiltrated with friends a witchcraft meeting at the campus in 1987 and in 2008, the Willamette Master Choir was practicing Christmas music to “chant to Mohammed” until one alert choir member objected and got it eliminated. Historians today place Mohammed with Jesus and Apostle Paul as one of the three most influential men in history. Mohammedism is the largest and fastest-growing religion on earth.

The student housing is now “gender neutral.” In April 1989 Tokyo University brought a globalist infusion to Willamette by dedicating the campus of a Japanese university with 63 students. In March 1991 it was reported that a Soviet professor was teaching a class at

Willamette University and then in 2003, Tokyo International University of American gave Willamette University its biggest gift ever: $11 million to transform a dormitory into a “residential commons” for students and faculty. With the guidance of an environmental science professor, classes were offered on the New Age pagan religion of radical environmentalism. All this will help readers to understand why Oregon remains such an ungodly blue state.

In September 1984 Willamette received a $173,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and in January 1985 Willamette U. trustees approved plans for a library – a $6.8 facility to be named for Senator Hatfield who became chairman in 1980 of the Senate Appropriations Committee when Republicans won their first majority in the Senate in 26 years and the election of President Ronald Reagan. Hatfield steered millions in federal grants to Oregon projects as the chairman or top minority-party member of the Appropriations committee for almost two decades. He retired from the Senate at the end of 1996. John Kennedy, Jr.’s George magazine listed Hatfield as one of the ten top ‘pork-barrelers’ in Congress grabbing millions in federal tax dollars for his home state. One of the last victories for the fiercest dove in Congress was getting Congress to commit more money to medical research that passed unanimously by the Senate without a word of debate. After he retired, he taught briefly again at Willamette as well as George Fox, founded by Quakers and Hatfield became a trustee in 1988. In 2004 he was injured in a fall while visiting the National Institute of Health in Maryland, which he championed as a senator, and which named its clinical research center after him.

LOYALTY OATHS

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946 and became a pacifist after visiting Hiroshima where the first atomic bomb in warfare was dropped and says to this day he cannot watch a war movie. He continued to play the role of the maverick Westerner – a rebel Republican and World War II hero who was booed at the 1964 GOP convention for speaking out against the Vietnam War that may have cost him the chance to be vice president. Richard Nixon was seriously considering him in 1968. He gave an impassioned speech against pending U.S. military action Iraq in 1991 for its invasion of Kuwait and he voted against Congressional resolution sought by President George H.W. Bush authorizing use of force. He became the longest-serving senator from Oregon, breaking the mark set by Republican Charles McNary (1918-1944).[1]

When Senator Hatfield once objected to “loyalty oaths” for teachers, a local newspaper journalist praised the decision. One of the 45 goals for the Communist Take Over of America is #13, “Do away with all loyalty oaths.” On United Nations Day, 10/24/1975, the World Affairs council of Philadelphia sets its subversive sights on the approaching commemoration by unveiling a mockery of our Great Declaration of Independence by declaring, “A Declaration of Interdependence,” virtually calling for the repudiation of the Declaration of Independence. The ‘INTERDEPENDENCE’ document proclaims, “Two centuries ago our forefathers brought forth a new nation; now we must join with others to bring forth a New World Order.” It claims that mankind must “free itself from the limitations of moral prejudice” and that Americans have a “moral obligation to strive for a more prudent and more equitable sharing of the resources of the earth…”[2]

Quietly, every so quietly students everywhere, at all levels from elementary schools to colleges and university, were being encouraged to think globally – to think of themselves as “world citizens” which means down playing loyalty to their own country so readers probably wouldn’t be surprised to find Senator Hatfield’s name among the 125 Congressmen that violated their Oath of Office by signing the Declaration of Interdependence calling for the establishment of “A New World Order.” The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia commissioned the document written by Dr. Henry Steele Commager, revisionist historian, teacher and staff member of the Aspen Institute for Humanistic Studies in Colorado, and signed in Independence Hall in Philadelphia.[3] George H.W. Bush jumped in to help Hatfield win his hard-fought race against Lonsdale. Even though Hatfield objected to the invasion of Kuwait by Bush, they were “New World Order” buddies. The first time I heard the term was out of Bush’s mouth when he was president. If Hatfield eventually asked to have his name removed from this document, I’d like to know.

Long before Charlotte Iserbyt wrote her book about the dumbing down of America, George Orwell’s book Nineteen Eighty Four pointed out that ultimately an older document, such as the American Declaration of Independence would become unreadable gibberish. Today they call this sacred document a “living document” and must change with the times. As a result, today’s American public school students are less aware of their country’s heritage.

HATFIELD BLAMES THE “RIGHT”

Hatfield says in the foreword to the book The Fear Brokers, “The ‘right’ is hyper-nationalism which is so accentuated that it can only be called idolatry. Loyalty to the nation becomes equated with the political agenda of the right wing." Of course, today the blame is on the “Tea Party” folks that V.P. Biden calls terrorists. It has people from all parties fed up with the games the two-party system plays and they want the government to stop spending and return to Constitutional government; however, until some one addresses the unconstitutional 16th Amendment (IRS) (that was never ratified by required number of states), the Federal Reserve and revenue sharing, it will remain a total old boys network that the “Tea Party” folks are trying to break up by electing new faces.

The fawning media covers for the incumbents but lines up to ask “Gotcha” questions of the newcomers. At the debate, the question was asked of Michelle Bachmann about a Christian wife being submissive to her husband. Did any one ask any of the men who profess Christianity if they’ve been faithful to their wives? After all, even a married man “lusting” after another woman is considered adultery in the Bible (Matt. 5:28). Later Michele Bachmann was asked if she’d appoint a homosexual to a government position? If the homosexuals stay in the closet, who would know about their lifestyle?

The name of the game is to demoralize any Christian candidate and especially a conservative Christian woman but what the Devil wants to use to destroy, God will surely use as good and people are finally waking up. They are beginning to see through the hypocrisy. This could never happen unless these courageous Debras stepped out and declared their candidacy.
