THE DIMINISHING TWO PARTY POLITICAL SYSTEM

Webster’s dictionary says “diminishing returns” are any rate of profit, productions, benefits, etc. that beyond a certain point fails to increase proportionately with added effort or skill.[2] The fact, often stated as a law or principle, that when any factor of production, as labor, is increased while other factors, as capital and land, are held constant, the output per union of the variable factor will eventually diminish. From the way my Oregon voters’ pamphlet appears, more and more people are abandoning the two-party system. While the Democrat party keeps allowing illegals into the country who will vote Democrat, the old-guard Republicans spend millions to defeat conservative Republicans causing the party to lose ground.
I notice those running for the Oregon legislature are adding to their Voters’ pamphlet information more than one party affiliation: Republican and Libertarian, Independent, Democrat and Working Families. One even says Republican, Democrat and Independent. We also have a candidate who proudly lists the “Pacific Green” party only. We also have the “Progressive Party” which is nothing different from the Communist Controlled Democrat party. One candidate running for governor proudly lists “Constitution Party.” He lists his occupation as a Circuit Rider, Minister of the Gospel.
ANOTHER SCANDAL FOR OREGON
Dennis Richardson, also running for Governor lists Republican and Independent and his occupational background as a U.S. Army combat helicopter pilot, Vietnam; small Business Owner and an attorney who just might be the first Republican to be elected governor since the last one in 1987. For once a media reporter has forced Oregon’s 3rd term Democrat governor, John Kitzhaber’s live-in “first lady” Cylvia Hayes to take responsibility for her past including being paid $5,000 to marry a teenage Ethiopian immigrant 11 years younger which helped the young man with his immigration status and then there was a proposed illegal marijuana growing operation near the Canadian border in Okanagon, Washington. It hit national news so I’m sure you’ve heard about it. Richardson is very conservative on fiscal and moral issues and originates from the southern part of the state of Oregon. Another Oregon story that hit national news puts Euthanasia back on the front burner when 29-year-old Brittany Maynard, recently married, moved from California to Oregon so she can choose “Death With Dignity” where it has been legal since 1997. She has brain cancer and has been told her death will be excruciating so she wants to avoid the pain and hopes to “pass in peace.”
Now, I ask myself, with the Ebola scare on the minds of people and simultaneously we have a young lady coming to Oregon to use euthanasia laws to end her life that gains national attention and then we have more suspicious deaths of the elderly in hospitals looking like shades of Rockefeller’s population control and Obamacare, why should I bother to pursue the two-party system when the President could possibly call for Martial Law thereby canceling the November 4th election and leaving him and his comrades in charge forever?
Well, for one reason, Ebola is proving that no one is in charge. The outbreak clearly illustrates why our United Nations administrative (democracy/communist) government does not work. Old Democrat President Harry Truman said the buck stopped on his desk but in the Obama administration no one is ever held accountable. A caller to a talk show who works at a hospital said they no more put procedures in place as directed from CDC and a few minutes later CDC changes them. This hospital and staff is saying if a suspected infected person comes to their doors, they are turning that person away. They will no longer put their staff at risk.
BARRY GOLDWATER AND RON PAUL HAD TO BE DESTROYED
Senator Barry Goldwater, the 1964 GOP presidential candidate, ONCE said, “The two parties should almost be identical, so that the American people can throw the rascals out at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. Conservative Republican Goldwater threatened this political duopoly and so he had to be destroyed. Goldwater preceded Ron Paul by many years in being labeled dangerous over his foreign policy views. Like Paul, Goldwater and many minor candidates since have been widely denounced by the party elite during the primary campaigns.[1]
WASHINGTON’S WARNING FELL ON DEAF EARS
In Oregon we have this crazy easily manipulated vote-by-mail endorsed by the liberal League of Women Voters. Ballots will be arriving about the time this article is posted. The phones are ringing and T.V. ads being distorted. Measure 90 provides for a single primary ballot listing candidates with the top two advancing to the general election. Oregon is a liberal state and used for testing grounds for the socialists as described in an earlier article so there are fears a “yes” vote would amount to the general election seeing two Democrats at the top of the ticket; however, as the system is today, thousands of Oregonians registered in third parties are disenfranchised in the Primary on partisan candidates.
Both George Washington and Grover Cleveland, the forgotten Democrat conservative president cautioned us to stay out of entanglements of other nations and further warned fellow countrymen not to allow the bitterness or party strife to divide and weaken the country but warnings fell on deaf ears. In his 1796 Farewell Address Washington said: ”National morality cannot prevail if religious principles are excluded” which brings us full circle to the atheists and the Politically Correct.
RIGHTS HAVE BEEN IN GREAT PERIL
The rights declared by Jefferson and those guaranteed by the Bill of Rights have been in great peril for quite some time. For instance, these rights are threatened by the government whose capital is Washington, D.C. and in 2012 we were faced with a presidential election contested mainly by two major parties whose candidates were both graduates of Harvard Law School. Romney seemed hardly aware of the Constitution’s existence and Obama as a senator regularly ignored and violated by official actions the Constitution of the United States.[2] Obama is even worse as President. And now he’s signed an Executive Order to send our National Guards to W. Africa to build hospitals, etc. to help fight Ebola. Unless our state Governors are also willing to go and/or send their kids, I hope they’ll say “no way” to the President. Being elected twice has caused this narcissistic dictator to completely circumvent the Republican controlled House.
Former Governor George Wallace of Alabama once said, “There’s not a dime’s worth of difference between the two political parties’ candidates!” Who chose Obama and Romney to run? A Gallup Poll came up with the stunning finding that a full 65% of respondents said their choice was neither of the two “chosen’ candidates.[3] We got Tweedledee or Tweedledumb because the two-party system is designed on the Hegelian dialectic that results in a one-party state that promotes globalism and the prophesied one world government.
FEDERAL FRAUD ALL AROUND BY PEOPLE WHO GAME THE SYSTEM
Unconstitutional federal programs enacted by the FDR and other Democrat administrations have long been a drain on our economy but are now supported by the GOP House who could defund them starting with the unconstitutional Department of Education created under Democrat President Jimmy Carter.
While the list seems endless, let me give you just one example about the Federal Disability programs. The New York Times reported in 2011 that “virtually every career employee of the Long Island Railroad was applying for and receiving disability payments from the federal government. The number of beneficiaries in the Federal Disability program was growing by about a million people each year. It isn’t fair to the truly disabled when others game the system and have helped push the program to the brink.”[4]
Once on the rolls, they rarely get off. The unintended consequences make life more difficult for those who were supposed to be helped. “The failure to reform the Disability Insurance Program has created a situation that discourages Americans with disabilities from working,” says Richard Burkhauser, a professor of policy analysis at Cornell University. He said the disability program “forces individuals to prove they are unable to work before providing them with the assistance needed to return to work. And even then, many disabled Americans are reluctant to re-engage in work for fear their health coverage and benefits will be lost if their work efforts fail.[4]
VICTIMS OF DICK AND JANE AND OUR DUMBED DOWN SOCIETY
How do we correct these problems? Perhaps the teacher extraordinary in the Chicago public schools named Marva Collins can help. There is a whole series on her success story in the August 1981 GUIDEPOSTS. She became disgusted with the system and at age 44, married with three children, decided “pupils” were more important than union “perks” for a career in education. She took her Public Retirement pension to open her own school and took into her school the rejects from the public schools, telling them she would not let them fail. Her discipline, tough love and tough drilling in the basics turned them into scholars.
Samuel Blumenfeld in his 1982 pamphlet entitled, “The Victims of ‘Dick and Jane’ said for 60 years the ‘look-say’ method of teaching reading has dominated our schools. Why does it remain firmly entrenched even though it doesn’t work?” While millions have been victims of “Dick and Jane”, Marva was having her students take turns reading Chaucer, discussing the plot as they read. Reading out loud kept them from mispronouncing words and oral reading was beneficial to punctuation, vocabulary, and style as children began to understand synonyms, characterization, conflict and the author‘s point of view. She told them well-spoken English was a passport to success.
She taught them self-respect and to believe in themselves and she passed out excerpts from Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “Self-Reliance. She told the youngsters she would read it to them but expected them to listen. She printed “Self-Reliance” across the newly washed surface. “The title is ‘Self Reliance,’” she repeated, making the vowel sounds with colored chalk. “These are called diacritical marks, and they show us how to pronounce vowel sounds. The e in self has the short sound eh, so we put a breve over it. The first e and the i in reliance have macrons, which tell us those vowel sounds are long; the vowels say their own names.” Using Marva’s methods, the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Ten Commandments can easily be inculcated into the curriculum by a dedicated teacher.
ALABAMA SUPREME COURT REMOVES HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT
Recognizing that individuals are born in sin with no conscience to determine right from wrong and must be taught by loving parents and other adults so a spiritual emphasis on Ten Commandments is necessary. Renowned “Thru the Bible” radio minister, J. Vernon McGee (1904-1988) once said, “Despite how you may have personally felt about the issue of the Ten Commandments, there was good logical reason for removing the monument from the Alabama Supreme Court building. You cannot post things like “Thou Shalt Not Steal,” “Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,” and “Thou Shall Not Lie” in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians.
It creates a hostile work environment.” Following these professional folks, “Thou Shall not Steal” may be directed to those who defraud the entitlement industry. One lady on the Price is Right came running to the front to try for a prize. Someone knew she was receiving disability and reported her. She forgot her cane. Ooops!

So along with self-reliance and Marva’s drilling practices, those now gaming the hundreds of government programs to their unashamed benefit should be feeling guilty remembering Thou Shalt Not Steal. Another Commandment says we should not take the Lord’s name in vain so now they just say OMG. Our forefathers were endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights so an emphasis on the Declaration of Independence as well as the Constitution should be taught and elected officials should be required to pass a Constitution litmus test.
The Bill of Rights should be required memorization. And grades 1-2-3 should be in the same room so the repetition the children receive for three years will help them remember these important facts. This can be accomplished in one generation if the teacher unions and U.S. Department of Education are eliminated and education returned to the states and/or the parents. So voters should put pressure on our elected officials in our Two Party System to help return our Constitutional Republic!
