DOES THE MIDTERM REPUBLICAN LANDSLIDE SOLVE THE PROBLEM?

As forecast, the November, 2010 elections were an overwhelming victory for Republicans, with a pickup of at least sixty seats in the House, six seats in the Senate and twelve state governorships. It was more than a victory; it was the biggest political blowout in sixty years. The Republican blowout increased the Republican-controlled governorships to 30. Over 500 legislative seats also went from Democrat to Republican, giving Republicans control of more than 20 new chambers and more seats than anytime since 1928.

Many conservatives are disappointed that the Republicans did not take the majority in the Senate. However, the failure to gain control of the Senate was certainly not surprising. The majority of Senate seats up for grab in 2010 were in predominantly strong Democratic states like New York and California. As explained later, the lack of control in the Senate will work for the Republicans

From a purely political point of view, the importance of the 2010 Midterm Republican blowout cannot be overstated. It was a major victory for the American people. However, it would be a big mistake, to think the threat of overspending and big government is over and we can go back to sleep. That is exactly what the global elite want. Twentieth Century historian Carroll Quigley wrote in Tragedy and Hope that the elite manipulate elections in order to keep “the two parties almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy.” The elite have successfully done that for nearly a hundred years.

The 2010 election has broken that cycle and clearly shows how quickly Americans can break the power of those who have worked to control us for a hundred years. The people are waking up and becoming educated after decades of deliberate efforts to dumb them down. The momentum must be maintained, helping even more people to understand what is happening so that solid constitutionally oriented candidates can run and be elected in 2012.

The problem is not the Democrats per se; it is the progressive ideology that has taken over the Democrat Party. The progressive ideology is still alive and its cancer is still permeates political leadership. As I predicted in Rescuing a Broken America, most of the elected Republicans in 2010 haven't got a clue about the real threat to America. With the exception of a few Tea Party candidates and perhaps Democrat Joe Manchin (WV), the Republican victory is politics as usual; Republicans won, Democrats lost.

What is still not understood by political leaders and the American people is that the real threat has never been about Republicans or Democrats; it is about the progressive cancer infecting both political parties. Some of the 2010 Republican victors are even progressives themselves. That is how the elite have been able to continue their agenda regardless of which party was in control. The progressive machine may have suffered a setback in 2010, but they are still deeply entrenched and continue to work to destroy the U.S. Constitution so their ideology can rule over every American.

The progressives are well funded by globalists like multi-billionaire George Soros and others in the international financial cartel. They have been planning for a hundred years to create a world government with themselves at the helm. The Republican victory is merely a temporary setback to them. They have had setbacks before, but have always bounce back stronger and with their agenda more advanced than before. They have already regrouped and plan to use the Republican victory as a springboard to defeat conservatives in 2012 and 2014. Once it became obvious that the Republicans would sweep the 2010 elections, Soros and others have spent tens of millions of dollars funding progressive organizations to discredit elected conservatives and cause them to fail.

Over the next two years the elite will use the progressive media to systematically blame the Republicans for the inevitable Congressional deadlock and increasing economic hardships that the American people will be facing. It has already been planned. Even while funding progressives, Soros has orchestrated a plan to systematically devalue the U.S. dollar. The first step of this plan was initiated the day after the 2010 Midterm elections when the U.S. Federal Reserve announced a plan to monetize the U.S. National Debt. The Fed will create out of thin air another $600 billion to inject into the U.S. economy over an eight month period.

Representative Michelle Bachman (R-MN) pleaded with the Fed not to monetize the debt, claiming the Fed's plan will "spike inflation." Her concern was repeated by Kansas City Fed President Thomas Hoenig who claimed this monetization will increase long-term inflation. These fears are justified. Analysts are unanimous in stating the action will debase the dollar by 20 percent over the next couple of years. Worse, it could precipitate hyperinflation. That happened to the Vimar (Weimar) Republic following WWI, which eventually allowed Adolf Hitler to come into power. If that happens in the U.S., the resulting chaos will provided the perfect conditions to implement a global currency and create global governance. The structural framework for this has been quietly established over the past several decades.

Even if the dollar debasement does not cause hyperinflation and chaos, everyone will suffer from high inflation, perhaps severely. As usual, those hurt the most will be seniors and the poor. President Obama and the newly re-elected Harry Reid will offer fine-sounding progressive legislative solutions to a woefully ignorant and increasingly desperate population. Needless to say, the Republican majority in the House will refuse to pass the progressive legislation, creating deadlock. The ever-faithful progressive media will then extol the progressive agenda and blame the Republicans for the pain inflicted on the American people. The progressives have a long track record of shifting blame from the true villains (themselves) to other hapless victims.

This scenario is but one of a host of attacks planned for the Republican Congress. Unfortunately, most pundits have the naïve hope that President Obama will follow the example of President Clinton after the Republican rout of 1994 when he moved to the center politically. That's not likely with Obama because Obama absolutely believes what is doing is right.

In a radio interview Monday, October 25, 2010 President Obama chided Latinos who "sit out the election instead of saying, 'We're gonna punish our enemies and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us.'" If Obama was looking for common ground with the Republicans, calling them "enemies" is not the way to achieve it. He later claimed the word "enemies" was a poor choice. However, anyone who has watched his effort to silence all opposition in the past realizes enemies is exactly what he meant. It presumably includes Republicans and the near-60 percent of Americans who support the new Arizona immigration law.

While the president did sound somewhat conciliatory during his November 3, 2010, speech, his narcissistic arrogance would not allow him to pragmatically accept that it was his progressive ideology that caused the Republican blowout. Even though he claimed the blowout was his fault, it was really because ignorant people just didn't understand why the "complex" "economic crisis" required him to rapidly expand of the federal government and federal spending. Yet, if that were true, why he was in such a rush to force through health care legislation the vast majority of American people did not want. Again, the president justified his arrogance by saying he just did not communicate it well enough to the “dumb” American people.

Nancy Pelosi used the same words to justify their actions the next day. What President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and the progressives just cannot comprehend is that the American people do get it and reject it. It is the progressives who cannot accept that their progressive ideas are wrong and that they can never work. They believe with absolute certainty that they are right and everyone else is just too stupid to understand their brilliance. That is why they are such perfect tools for the global elite.

This was clearly shone mere hours after Obama’s November 3rd barely constrained speech to the nation. NewsMax.com reported that Obama spoke by phone to MoveOn.org, an extreme left nongovernmental organization funded by George Soros. Obama told them:

We always knew bringing about change in Washington wouldn’t be easy, and it might get tougher in the days ahead.... The message I took away from the elections is very simple: The American people are still frustrated. They still want change; we just have to work harder to deliver the change the American people want.

The president continued, saying that activist organizations like MoveOn must work harder pushing the progressive agenda until every American sees real change in their own lives…. We didn’t sign up for doing what was easy, we signed up for doing what was right.... We are going to continue to take all the time it takes –– and all the effort it takes –– to get our country back on track.

It is obvious by his conversation with MoveOn that Obama is totally disconnected from reality. He is absolutely convinced he knows what is best for the American people, and if they were just smart enough to understand, they would support him. As I explain in my book Rescuing a Broken America, progressives cannot deal with reality and that disconnect makes them a very, very dangerous tool for the elite to exploit.

We can expect some token concessions by the progressives, like changing the 1099 tax form requirement in Obamacare, and the limited continuance of the Bush tax cuts. However, Obama is totally unable to work with the Republicans on substantive issues. His ideology, along with progressives in general, is totally alien to the idea of limited government and spending.

What will actually happen is a systematic effort to set the Republicans up for failure. The only effective way the conservative Republicans can defend against this is to start exposing the progressive tactics now. For instance, the leadership must proactively condemn the $600 billion debt monetization by the Fed right now as being destructively inflationary. Monetary debasement is not the solution to our out-of-control debt.

Republicans must not only pass legislation in the House repealing Obamacare and financial reform, but must put forth well thought-out legislation to replace them, as well as other bills that reign in government spending. When the Senate refuses to pass it, make sure that the progressively controlled Senate is held responsible, not the conservatives. This is the positive side of the Republicans not taking control of the Senate. To be sure, the progressive media will blame the House conservatives, but the liberal mainstream media’s audience is shrinking by the month as American’s finally realize the progressive media is fatally biased.

Most candidates in the Midterm election, including Joe Manchin, won on an anti-Obamacare, anti-spending platform. Time will tell whether Manchin, and perhaps a growing number of conservative Democrats, continue to side with constitutional principles. Repeal of Obamacare and cutting spending are good starts, but they are far from the solution. The reelection of radical progressives like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barney Frank clearly show the American people still don't understand we are literally at war with an ideology that will lead us into socialism at best or communism/fascism at worst. Nor do they realize that the progressives are mere tools of the global elite who are attempting to create a world government with them in control. The agenda must be exposed. As long as the cancer of progressivism still permeates local, state and federal governments, the threat to America remains very high.
