GOVERNMENT AND PRESS/MEDIA COVER-UPS

[Note: People are wondering why oil prices continue to rise, not appreciating how the global economy works. As Gary Dorsch (editor of GLOBAL MONEY TRENDS) explains, the Federal Reserve would like to inflate the money supply further and lower interest rates to cushion the U.S. housing market and help relieve pressure on the subprime credit crisis. However, if the Fed cuts interest rates, it risks sending the value of the dollar lower which leads to higher oil prices, which in turn lead to higher food, etc. prices (inflation). The situation has been exacerbated by Kuwait and Iran (and others to follow) breaking their peg to the U.S. dollar in terms of oil payments. And if Hugo Chavez in Venezuela does likewise, the dollar will become even weaker. With a weaker dollar, more and more foreign firms will be buying American companies. For example, on June 12, 2008 a Belgian firm made a takeover bid for American beer company Anheuser-Busch which began about 150 years ago in St. Louis.]
It’s critical to the power elite’s plans for global control that the public be kept ignorant about important information. For example, some years ago I filed a Freedom of Information request with the Department of Defense (DOD) regarding Pakistani intelligence chief General Mahmud Ahmed’s visit here just before 9/11. General Ahmed had $100,000 wired to 9/11 ringleader Mohamed Atta, and just before 9/11 several high-level Pentagon officials suddenly cancelled their travel plans for the morning of 9/11. Finally, I received a partial DOD response dated May 20, 2008 which indicated Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz had an office call with General Ahmed and others on September 10, 2001. Blacked out was “U.S.-Pakistani Military and Intelligence Relations” and most other sections. Although the DOD response indicated General Ahmed met with National Security Council members September 5 and 6, 2001, blacked out is where General Ahmed was on September 4. The DOD response also indicated there was an office call between Assistant Secretary of Defense Peter Rodman and General Ahmed in which Rodman “recalled past personal experience working with Pakistan while on former Secretary of State Kissinger’s staff.”
Another example involves Iraq. The Bush administration keeps telling us about the success of the military surge. However, it fails to inform the public that after five years in Iraq, there are still water shortages and electricity only 2-5 hours a day. Garbage isn’t collected for days or weeks, and many Iraqi government employees want bribes to provide services.
The press/media are also important elements of the power elite’s control over the people, especially in choosing what not to report. For example, they report about Communist Chinese oppression in Tibet, but most don’t report about the persecution of Christians in China. Rutherford Institute president John Whitehead informs us that preparations for the 2008 Olympics in China have included “religious repression, torture, sexual abuse and arbitrary detention.” There’s a photo of house church member Sister Aizhen Miao being shocked by a policeman with an electric cattle prod. Other photos smuggled out of China include a pastor subjected to water torture, another Christian placed in a “tiger cage,” another policeman standing on a woman’s ankles and “rolling” them. Whitehead further commented, “Persecution of religious individuals has been common in China for more than half a century. The major corporate sponsors (of the Olympics) have been silent. The worst of all, though, has been the deafening silence from the evangelical church in America. Shame on American Christians….“
Why have American Christians, the U.S. government and the press/media been largely silent about the persecution of Christians in China? For one thing, they crave the cheap products they can buy made in China. Also, as Ian Williams wrote in the January 23, 2004 ASIA TIMES: “All Beijing has to do is to mention the possibility of a sell order going down the wires. It would devastate the U.S. economy more than any nuclear strike the Chinese could manage at the moment.”
Within the U.S., there’s little reporting by major news outlets about the Security and Prosperity Partnership and how it’s a prelude to a North American Union. While some people have expressed concern about the TransTexas Corridor being the first step of a TransAmerican Superhighway, how much has been reported about the CANAMEX Corridor? Practically nothing nationally? It begins in Nogales, Arizona, goes north to Las Vegas, then north to Salt Lake City, continuing to Idaho Falls and then Helena, Montana and northward. The corridor involves tourists, small freight, telecommunications, etc. all of which could simply and innocuously follow highway systems. However, what makes this more than simply a highway system is that the corridor includes “Smart Process Partnerships. Interstate cooperation is a key element of the CANAMEX vision. The plan calls for integration of e-government services such as license renewal and business registration between states, creation of an e-signature program and other innovations to create a ‘borderless economy’. CANAMEX is another provide NAFTA corridor that would facilitate easy access for trade across the borders of Mexico and Canada.”
Another government cover-up with little press/media attention has been that vaccines trigger autism. For decades, the government has denied any linkage between vaccines and autism. The press/media have occasionally reported various parents’ complaints about a linkage but this is almost always followed by a reporter interviewing some government official denying the linkage. Recently, however, Centers for Disease Control head Julie Gerberding on the CNN show “House Call” explained that vaccines can trigger autism in a vulnerable subset of children.
There has also been a government cover-up about why government has been funding the drugging of foster care children in the U.S. In this regard, I’ll quote at length from a letter sent by Gloria Wright, a vice-president of Ablechild, to the Chairman of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee: “My grandson, Noah, was a ward of the State of North Carolina for 8 years – during that time he was put on 18 psychiatric drugs and was ‘fostered’ by 5 families. During his foster care time he was on Zoloft, Taxil, Celexia, Effexor, Lithium, Ritalin, Thorazine, buspar, Adderall, Welbutrin, Melatonin, Risperdahl, Zyprexia, Lexepro, Depakote, Seroquel, Zyrtec, and Prozac. When we gained his custody in 2003, I took him to a doctor and also a psychiatrist. It did not take long for the psychiatrist to note the child was having severe allergic reactions and side effects to some of the drugs. No medical doctor had noted that for they kept prescribing the drugs – after all, they get paid by the State! Prior to him going off the drugs, he had experienced suicidal ideation, attempted murder, had developed diabetes, hearth arrhythmia, extreme rages, hearing voices, etc. He was confined 7 times to psychiatric hospitals because of the use of these drugs. As long as states receive federal monies for making children wards of foster care, this will always be possible. Too many states are turning their backs on the federal law known as ‘The Adoption and Safe Families Act,’ whereby a child taken from his parents must be placed in the care of a relative for safekeeping. Why is this so? The states get paid for foster homes and not for relative care. The states also put the child on psychiatric drugs because they get paid extra money for having a sick child to the detriment of the child as proven by our Noah!
Why are these drugs used on children who are taken away from their families? It makes $$$$ for the states, and the child be damned! Why is it all right to put these children in clinical trials or do off label prescribing without adequate care? My grandson is damaged and I know it because I raised him the first 5 years of his life. He could read before 5 years of age, loved to play with numbers, could count to 100 without error. When we gained custody of this boy, Noah, he could not read, did not know his times tables and could not write. Where do we go to get his childhood back? By the way, MEDICAID was used when our daughter and son-in-law had good insurance with Buncombe County, but the State of North Carolina Child Protective Services didn’t care. Instead, MEDICAID was charged and against the taxpayer and this seems to be fraud! Why is no one interested in this fact?” Similar letters could be written by people across this nation. Who has been advocating the unapproved use of powerful anti-psychotic medications for children? According to Gardiner Harris and Benedict Carey in “Child Experts Fail to Reveal Full Drug Pay” (THE NEW YORK TIMES, June 8, 2008), Dr. Joseph Biederman and Dr. Timothy Wilens of Harvard University have “helped fuel an explosion” of these medicines’ use but only “belatedly reported” receiving millions of dollars in consulting fees from drug makers from 2000-2007.
Government cover-ups are nothing new. If you asked most people about the recent monument built to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, they would react approvingly of the monument and him. Why? It’s because his misdeeds have been covered up. For example, most Americans are unaware that on December 1, 1943, FDR. at a summit conference in Tehran, Iran, made a secret deal with Stalin to give Poland (and later Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) to the Soviet dictator. FDR wanted the deal kept secret so Polish-Americans would not vote against him for re-election. Just think of the suffering Poles and others endured under the Soviet dictatorship as a result of FDR.’s actions.
Even today, the press/media are accomplices in covering up the ignorance of American presidential candidates. You have heard a lot about Senator Obama and Reverend Wright, Senator Clinton and Bosnian sniper fire, and Senator McCain and the female lobbyist. However, has the press/media given you any in-depth knowledge of the candidates’ understanding of important issues like education? No! That’s because the power elite wants the people to be kept ignorant of their leaders’ ignorance, because this makes it easier for the power elite to achieve its goal of creating a World Socialist Government.

This will be done by diminishing national sovereignty, and the controlled press/media play an important part in this effort. For example, on National Public Radio’s Weekend Edition News (May 10-22, 2008), reporter Daniel Schorr exclaimed: “I have followed for many, many years the development of the United Nations and the League of Nations and what they were based on. And always you could not get a treaty to create the United Nations unless you gave absolute sovereignty to every country. I think the time has come for the United Nations to now pass a resolution saying these people (in Myanmar) will be fed and will be saved. And if that means imposing force by the United Nations in a sovereign country, so be it!” Think of the precedent this would set for U.N. intervention in any country!
