MENTAL HEALTH, EDUCATION AND SOCIAL CONTROL
By
Dennis L. Cuddy, Ph.D. Concerning mental health, from 1952 to 1995, the rate of suicide in children and young adults tripled. And from 1980 to 1997, the rate of suicide among children ages 10 to 14 increased 109%. The Centers for Disease Control has recently conducted surveys showing that about 8% (1.2 million) of high school students said they had attempted suicide in the past year! That's not those who just thought about suicide, but those who actually tried to kill themselves. Walk into any high school classroom across the U.S., and one in twelve students there have tried to kill themselves. But is this any wonder if elementary school students have been taught the theme song from MASH ("Suicide Is Painless"), and in Death Education, students are asked to write "suicide notes"? There has been a concentrated effort over the last several decades to alter the values of our youth. According to an Eagle Forum leader, a popular children's book, A LIGHT IN THE ATTIC by Shel Silverstein (who worked for PLAYBOY), has a subliminal sex organ on every page. In FIVE LECTURES...ON MORAL EDUCATION (1970) by leading educator Ted Sizer (and his wife, Nancy), one reads: "Christian sermonizing denies individual autonomy, which, with justice, lies at the heart of the new morality....No longer can we list...objective moral 'truths' about the world and expect children to take them over intact....Moral autonomy...is the 'new morality' toward which we are to guide ourselves and other people....Clearly the strict adherence to a 'code' is out of date." What's been the result of this "new morality"? In the popular DARE program in schools across the land, there is a workbook with a student, Jimmy, considering taking a gun to school, and one of the questions asked is "What good things could happen?" if he does it. Was it a coincidence that one of the student killers in Jonesboro, Arkansas, had just taken the DARE program? And why is the book, THE PIGMAN, in many school libraries across the nation, when it begins with a boy boasting about how he set off 23 bombs in school and didn't get caught doing it? In previous Parts of this series, I have written also about the adverse health effects of fluoride in drinking water and mercury in vaccines. Fluoride has been placed in the drinking water of many American cities because of Edward Bernays' "engineering of consent" techniques. One American Dental Association script for a radio program even tried to dismiss dental fluorosis from fluoridated drinking water by stating that "Fluoridated water gives the teeth an added sparkle." The federal government was also party to the "engineering" of fluoride acceptance in drinking water. In 1954, the leading scientist in this field, Dr. Harold Hodge testified before Congress that fluoride in drinking water was safe. What most people did not know is that Hodge had been instructed by the federal government to provide evidence to use in court cases against workers in nuclear weapons facilities and farmers surrounding those facilities who might sue the government over the adverse health effects from fluoride used in making nuclear weapons. This is the same Harold Hodge who injected uranium/plutonium into unsuspecting hospital patients without their knowledge or consent. Many years later, according to Christopher Bryson's FLUORIDE DECEPTION, Hodge quietly admitted in 1979 that his safety figures had been wrong. Also part of the "engineering" that fluoride was not a health hazard was the fact that a Kettering Laboratory study of dogs specifically linked fluoride to serious lung problems, but the study was buried. And research by Dr. Phyllis Mullenix has linked fluoride to the major toll air pollution has taken in the general population. And relevant to what I have written about the mental health problem of autism and mercury in vaccines, Tennessee State Representative Susan Lynn has introduced House Bill 902 requiring that "no immunizations administered to any person, including pregnant women, in Tennessee may contain mercury, trace amounts of mercury, or preservatives containing mercury, including but not limited to Thimerosal." Regarding education, on June 30, 2005, Committee hearings were held on U. S. Sen. Lamar Alexander's S.860 to amend the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Authorization Act to require academic assessments in civics and U.S. history. Lest you think this is welcome news, you should know that NAEP's CIVICS FRAMEWORK was written by Center for Civic Education (CCE) Associate Director Margaret Branson under contract with federal agencies. Why is this important? It's because CCE has been critical of what it calls "mind-numbing inculcation of uncontested political loyalty" to one's country and society. And CCE defines its civics education as teaching "globally accepted and internationally transcendent principles." This, of course, would eliminate the freedom of speech to criticize one's government without reprisal, as that isn't "accepted" in nations like China, Cuba, North Korea, etc. The power elite, like the aforementioned nations, believe people should be monitored, controlled and manipulated. In the U.S., we can be "accidentally" monitored. In an Associated Press report of September 30, 2005, one learns that "the FBI says it sometimes gets the wrong number when it intercepts conversations in terrorism investigations, an admission critics say underscores a need to revise wiretap provisions in the Patriot Act....'They have recorded the information, but they're saying, "Trust us, we won't listen to what we recorded,"' said Rep. Bobby Scott, D-VA. 'People ought to be concerned.'" Then, of course, there's the "non-accidental" monitoring. Do not all new cell phones have Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) chips? Therefore, anyone with these new cell phones can be located wherever they carry them. Then, our health records can be monitored without our consent. According to "'Wired for Health Care Quality Act' Deeply Flawed: Patients Cannot Control Data Uses" (HEALTH FREEDOM WATCH, Fourth Quarter 2005): "Legislation that allows for the electronic transfer of medical records is 'deeply flawed' because patients do not have ultimate control over who can see and use their medical records, said Dr. Deborah Peel, MD, president of the Patient Privacy Rights Foundation. The U.S. Senate (on November 18) passed the 'Wired for Health Care Quality Act,' (S.1418) which promotes the adoption of a nationwide interoperable system for the electronic transfer of medical records via a network of healthcare databases....Now, with the implementation of a nationwide interoperable health-care network, these records will be shared with hundreds of thousands of corporations and millions of their employees: Patients cannot 'opt out' of this system; Patients cannot segment sensitive records; Patients cannot keep their (self-insured) employers from seeing their records; Patients cannot control who sees and uses their data; Audit trails of these innumerable disclosures are not required (for most purposes)."
Regarding population control on a global scale, people can be moved or even killed by supposedly "natural" disasters such as earthquakes. In case you think this is just far-fetched science fiction, note that on April 28, 1997, Secretary of Defense William Cohen addressed a conference on terrorism, and revealed that there are those who are "engaging even in an echo-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves." Have we witnessed recent increases in earthquakes? 2006 Dennis Cuddy - All Rights Reserved Order Dennis Cuddy's new book "Cover-Up: Government Spin or Truth?"
