COURAGEOUS NOT CONSERVATIVE

I have been watching with great interest the political climate in which we live. This certainly is a different season than any I have seen in my lifetime. Jesus warned us about the changing of the seasons. In fact, He told us that we would do well to apply a little meteorology to our Bible study.
“And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?” -Mathew 16
I don’t have a degree in meteorology but I am certainly able to figure out which way the wind is blowing. There is a storm brewing on the horizon, but, like Hurricane Katrina, no one has the understanding its magnitude. This confluence of high and low pressure systems is creating the perfect storm.
But, like those in control of New Orleans, very few are prepared for the days that lie ahead. Just like the deception of the Army Corps of Engineers, many have become convinced that the current system of levies is sufficient to hold back the waves of the category five storm barreling down on America.
Now, don’t get me wrong, there is an awakening taking place in America. No matter how much the socialist weathermen in the leftstream media try to laugh off the Tea Party movement as just a thunderstorm, those who are studying the clouds know that this movement is a thunder-boomer the likes of which modern America has never seen.
If I remember correctly, a storm is the result of two different fronts colliding. When a high pressure system comes in contact with a low pressure system the result is nothing more than two systems battling for control of a particular region. During the past week here in Ohio we have watched two different “storms” in the atmosphere dump over two feet of snow on the roadways. It is not the storm that was paralyzing, but rather, the collateral damage remaining after the storm had passed.
Trust me; a hurricane is building in this land as two different fronts bear down on Washington DC. The impact of the storm will be felt all across the snow-covered fruited plain.
Those in power in Washington will not go easily. If we think that REAL change is going to come just because we happen to change horses, then we have not done a good job of studying past storms. Power does not transfer without conflict.
There is a revolution taking place before our very eyes. We would do well to study the calamity that previous storms have wreaked. Those sitting in the seats of power will not go “quietly into that good night.” The “revolution” will not happen without a struggle.
The “conservatives” are now coming out of the woodwork to run for office as they are finally awakening to the socialist agenda being ram-rodded in Washington. All across this land folks who have never considered running for office are throwing their hats in the ring. As I have tried to warn for a decade both parties are part of the same agenda. As the Democrats moved left, the Republicans moved with them. What was once considered “mainstream” is now labeled “far right.” We must understand that the positions are not far right, but that the leadership of both parties have moved left.
CNN, MSNBC, and the socialist media are trying to label the Tea Party folks as “far right wackos.” In fact, the positions that the Tea Party folks hold are clearly mainstream. Check the “weather” for yourself. According to the polls all of the following positions have more than 50% approval among Americans: The right of an unborn baby to live, individual gun ownership, heterosexual-only marriage, Obamacare to go away, lower taxes and less government involvement, less power to the judges, border control, and centrality of Faith in the lives of Americans. These are all mainstream values.
Because the socialists are so far left, and because they are in control of most of the media, their only chance of maintaining control is to try and scare Mom and Pop America back into the shadows by name-calling them “radicals.” Leftist values are not mainstream no matter how often they tell us they are.

I am considering running for congress from the 18th Congressional District in Ohio. Our Congressman Zack Space is a “lap-dog” Democrat elected in a Republican district. My name recognition is high, but the Republican Party leadership is as scared of my candidacy as the leftists are. Storms cause waves. Both parties want to control them and I can’t be controlled by the party elite. They are looking for a “moderate.”
I guess a “moderate” is someone who holds a position but never does anything to implement it.
The other day I ran into one of those “conservative” folks and mentioned that I was considering jumping into the race. Although a friend, I could tell that he was a little “uncomfortable” with the thought of me and my “far right” positions being in a position of influence.
“Gee Dave; I just think that you might be a little too radical for the voters. I’ll vote for you because I know you. But some of the things you do might scare off the average conservative.”
“Really?” I countered this “conservative.” “Let me ask you a few questions. Do you think unborn babies should be able to live?”
“Yes.”
“Do you think marriage should be between a man and a woman?”
“Absolutely.”
“Do you think the right to own guns is an inalienable God-given right?
“I’m a member of the NRA!”
“Do you think government is out of control? That we are over taxed…that public prayer should not be illegal…that the judges are out of control…and that Christianity is the foundation of this nation?”
“Yes, I agree with all of that.”
“Well, that is what I believe as well. And just because I spend my time out in the public square fighting for what I believe, you, and many other ‘conservatives’ call me a radical. The most radical thing you ever do is vote for ‘conservatives’ like John McCain.”
Look folks, the Obama administration is full of radical leftists who the socialist media is telling us are “mainstream.” Nobody complains about their “radical” beliefs. While the left destroys everything about this nation, “conservatives” are afraid to vote for “radicals” on their side. I guess in milquetoast America today standing up publicly FOR something is radical.
I am afraid the Tea Party movement is in danger of being high jacked by “mainstream conservative” Republicans. Both parties have their fingers in the air trying to figure out how powerful of a storm is on the horizon. Can’t you see them paddling their boats to the right…hoping to ride the waves to victory?
These folks play for keeps. They will not give up their power easily; they have nearly 700 billion in unspent stimulus money with which to buy “moderates.”

If we are going to reclaim America we don’t need the “conservatives” in office. We need the courageous.
