Coach Dave Daubenmire

Let’s make it official. I am running for Congress.
I have had many encourage me to run in the past few months but I always laugh it off by saying “I would never get elected. I’m too honest. I have this bad habit of speaking what I believe.”
Some describe politics as the art of compromise and I am not good at that. In fact, I am tired of compromising my values. I think it is time for Reid, Pelosi, and Obama to compromise on what they believe.
That is why I am running.
Currently there are seven Republicans who have thrown their hat in the ring, but no one has emerged who can channel the energy created by the Tea Party movement. Now, more than ever, America needs leaders.
That’s why I am running.
I am a registered Republican but the party has not represented my views in at least two-decades. Although the third-party movement is gaining steam I think the fastest way to make a difference is through the current system. The Party leadership probably will not endorse me for fear I am "too extreme," but I believe that I share the values of the mom and pop conservatives, regardless of party affiliation, in the district.
I am running as an “Independent Tea Party” Republican, but Democrats and Independents can vote for me in the primary.
Say what you will, even my critics would admit I am a leader. While others spent their lives building businesses I spent mine building people. My coaching influence has impacted a long list of citizens who are successful businessmen, parents, and people. America needs leaders…I have spent my life training them.
I can’t be bought. When I walked away from my career as a teacher I left financial security on the table. For the past decade I have invested my life into the betterment of this nation and I have stood for traditional family values as an answer to America’s ills.
Rather than looking to government for answers I have labored to show that a return to our Christian roots will elevate our citizenry to greater self-dependency. I have walked the talk.
I understand history. I have studied our Founders and their belief in limited government, and enumerated powers. Even though I am not a Constitutional scholar, I can read. I do not believe that the Constitution is a “living breathing document” and, as Jefferson said “In questions of power, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”
Perhaps it would be most accurate to label me a Christian-Constitutionalist. My reading of history makes it clear that the Founders believed that the “laws of Nature and of Nature’s God” were the foundation of all civil government. I believe in States rights. I believe the most important inalienable right is the right to life, from conception to natural death: that the “pursuit of happiness” is an individual journey, and that government serves best that serve least. I believe that the 2nd amendment was put in to protect the 1st Amendment.
Don’t God-fearing Americans deserve a tenacious advocate for “traditional Values” in America’s Capital? I am educated, articulate, and unashamed of my faith. I would be the socialists’ worst nightmare.
But I am not another party hack. I have seen what the Republicans did when they were in power. I watched the Presidency of GW Bush usher in the largest government in American history. I have watched compromised candidates cater to the highest bidder on both ends of the political spectrum. We need a watchdog, not a lap dog.
That’s why I am running.
But they will call me an “extremist”...both sides I’m talking about. They will do all they can to destroy my character. They will label me a law breaker (because I was sued by the ACLU for praying with our football teams), a “radical” (because I went to jail to protest the killing of Teri Schiavo), a hate monger and homo-phobe (because I think marriage is between a man and a woman), a “terrorist” (because I try and rescue babies at the abortion clinic) and a “Tea Bagger”, (because I am sick and tired of what they are doing to my country.)
Is it just me or does it seem like it is always the “conservatives” that are the one’s doing the compromising? We have compromised away our schools, our property rights, the fruits of our labors, our guns, our faith, and our children’s future.
I think it is time for a Congressman with a spine.
But I can’t do it without YOU!!
As a wise man once said “Don’t complain about what you permit.” It is time to put your money where your mouth is. I once heard a preacher say “Prayer moves Heaven…money moves earth.”
Go to my website Coach Dave For Congress and donate. It is a secure site. For those of you who would rather write a check send it to: Coach Dave For Congress Box 416 Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Do it today. We have less than 60 days until the primary.
Look…I am sticking my neck out, all I am asking you to do is support my efforts. I promise you the big donations are going to the Republican insiders. I am counting on donations “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” The say there is an army of folks who have had enough. Well…I’m your man. I can’t do it without you. I am willing to lead the charge!!
Here are the limits on campaign donations. What about you? Yeah…you! Don’t expect someone else to finance this battle. It is time for you to put a little skin in the game. If we don’t do something soon, what little money you do have will not be worth the paper it is written on.

Forward this to your entire email list. Encourage them to support me. A thousand people giving $100 will stoke the fires of liberty. Without your help a stuffed shirt Republican will win.
Isn’t that how we got in this mess?
"It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." ~Samuel Adams
