I am glad my father isn’t around to see what is going on in America. He was part of The Greatest Generation; the one that overcame Hirohito, Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini.
He and his generation built the most powerful economic machine that the world had ever seen.
But somewhere along the line they lost their kids. The faith of their fathers did not become the faith of their children. “Tune in, turn on and dropout became their anthem.”
“For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments: And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.
The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law; And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.” -Psalm 78
Christianity…culture…is a tag-team relay race. Each generation has the responsibility to pass the baton to the next. The baton is a set of beliefs…a way of life…that sustains a culture across generational chasms.
But my father’s generation lost the real battle…the battle for the soul of America. You remember those days…The Beatles and The Stones…LSD and Transcendental Meditation…Haight Ashbury and Charlie Manson…the Sexual revolution and Kent State.
A true cultural revolution blazed across the fruited plain burning everything in its path. …was their ever a time like it in all of history? Today we are eating the fruit of that tree as the buzzards, rather than the chickens, are returning to roost in Hinckley, to pick the bones of America.
This is not what my Dad’s generation had in mind when they fought “The Big One.” They didn’t watch their buddies fight and die so that a man could marry a man, or that a woman could murder her unborn baby or that Government would supplant God as the grantor of all rights.
They never saw the onslaught coming. If only they had seen the real battle that was raging they would have turned that American fighting spirit towards the enemy of their children’s souls. They were Christian back then. They thought America was good. They were happy to be home.
But they didn’t recognize the wolf at the door. They laid down their weapons when they were most needed. Their grandchildren are paying the price for that today.
Evil is sweeping across this nation like a wind-blown wildfire on the Texas flatlands. Where are the men, armed and carrying bows, in this day of battle?
Most people are hiding behind their spineless 'see no evil, speak of no evil' blind leaders of the blind Pastors.
Well, it is time for them…us…to come out of the closet. The very future of the Christian-American culture is at stake. The Devil (working through people) is pulling a coup de tat on the American people. He is attempting, once again, to overthrow God.
The cultural debate is not about marriage, or abortion, or socialism. It is so much larger than that. The serpent’s strategy is about getting America to deny God His rightful place.
I am not interested in turning back in the day of battle. Compromise is submission. Some things are worth fighting, and dying for. Unfortunately, many of our leaders have grabbed their ankles.
President Obama has caved. Hillary has given-over to sodomy. Bill Clinton has embraced debauchery. So have Pelosi, and Pastor Rob Bell…and much of the Methodist and Episcopalian, and other denominations.
But they aren’t really our leaders…they are just politicians who think they are leaders. They are fighting with the forces of hell to dethrone God and supplant Him with idols of “diversity, fairness, and equal rights.”
God grants rights, as clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence, and He granted no right to sodomy. Our Creator granted us the right to do right. There is no God-given right to do wrong.
That right, the right to do wrong, must be granted by the usurpers in the Supreme Court. They have granted rights that they have no right to grant. If they declare a “right” to marry to those who identify only by the manner in which they use choose to use their genitalia, they have violated not only the law of nature, but nature’s God. Homosexual sodomy will never be lawful.
The judges will be reprobates and will have issued a reprobate order. They are, as the Scriptures would call them, workers of evil. Six of the judges claim Christianity as their religion of choice. No Christian can legalize what God has called abominable.
How has this happened? How have we reached the point where the foundational institution of the culture is about to be redefined? Not expanded, but redefined. It is a game changer…
It has happened because the Christian-community has gone soft…mislead by torch bearers who can’t handle the heat.
No one can read the Bible and in any way, shape, or form and find homosexuality acceptable to God. His positions are clearly laid out in the Scriptures where he calls the practice “an abomination.” Modern day homo-apologists will say that we are no longer “under the Law” and compare the act of male-on-male butt-sex to the eating of shrimp. Which would you rather your son does, eat shrimp or…you finish the thought.
Marriage is a union between one man and one woman. Homosexuality is sin and abortion is murder. That’s what God says. Since God doesn’t change His mind, men must change their god. That is what this debate is all about.
It is time for God-fearing men and women to come out of the closet.
This is not a race issue, although some want to compare sexual behavior to skin color. This is not a moral issue, although some want to compare it to other moral debates such as taking care of the needy. This is not a political issue, as if redefining the institution of marriage should be left up to politicians or judges.
Those who speak for God refuse to do so…or those who speak for God have spent very little time LISTENING to God. The Bible is the rule book. You can’t change the rules by changing the referees. Changing referees only changes the way the rules are enforced.
As usual, it is not the enemy that has betrayed us, but rather, those we thought were on our side.
Rob Portman switched teams. Many of his fellow conservatives are wavering. The Republican Party never met a moral position from which they couldn’t be moved. The Church, for Lord’s sake, can’t even agree on such clearly-stated Christian positions as sodomy and baby murder.
There are six Catholics on the SCOTUS. It is time for them to stand up and defend what their own faith teaches or change their faith. Changing God’s opinion is not within their authority.

I am reminded of a young football player that I coached many years ago. He was greatly lacking in courage. As fate would have it we shared the same name, David. After watching him give a half-hearted effort during a game I embarrassed him at the team meeting the following day.
“David.” I said to him. “I have had enough of cowardly manner in which you have been playing. I ask you to do one thing for me…change your behavior…or change your name.”
That same admonition goes to most Christians in America today. Act like a Christian or find another religion. Now is the time to stand-up and be counted. The future of your grandchildren is at stake. If we lived out what we claim to believe our government wouldn’t dare question the authority of God.
Politicians became politically correct when Christians ceased to be Biblically correct.
We have dropped the baton.
