LEGISLATURES IN 08: GREATEST CHALLENGE FOR WE THE PEOPLE
PART 1 of 2

Devvy 2007 - NewsWithViews.com "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." --Samuel Adams, American Revolution Hero How many times do we hear political pundits and radio and talk show hosts say, "If the Republicans want to take back power in 2008.." "If the Democrats are going to retain power..." It's always about power for the party, never about we the people or constitutional government. The phony Republican Revolution headed up by new world order, serial adulterer, Newt Gingrich, was supposedly the panacea for conservative Republicans. Nothing could be further from the truth. NOTHING the Republican controlled majority did benefited this country after 12 long years of "power." From 2001-2006, the Republican controlled Congress and Bush have done more to destroy constitutional government and the Bill of Rights than Marxist Bill Clinton ever dreamed of pulling off. The Democrats have now been in "power" for nine months. Anyone watching events closely understands they are simply the same old Democrats out to further communism via social spending prohibited by Art. 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, and have done just about everything Bush has wanted to keep his endless wars up and running. They actually did one thing right in nine months: To their credit, the counterfeit U.S. Senate last week attempted to over turn Senator John Warner's piece of treason passed last year by the Republicans - elimination of habeas corpus: Senate Fails on Habeas Corpus /The Nation -- "Today the US Senate fell four votes short of restoring Habeas Corpus, the fundamental constitutional right of individuals to challenge government detention, which the Republican Congress revoked in last year's Military Commissions Act. Fifty-six senators supported a procedural move to tie the Habeas provision to legislation authorizing defense spending--a step that requires sixty votes.... "Backers of the amendment and human rights organizers say they will continue to press for habeas restoration. Leah Adler, an organizer with Working Assets, wrote today that activists should focus on the U.S. House, which will "likely consider legislation to restore habeas corpus in the next few weeks." Today's vote also suggests a new Senate majority for Habeas Corpus. (Last Congress, a similar amendment did not even break 50 votes.) And yes, it is a sad sign that we are reduced to counting votes for which members of Congress are upholding their oath to support the Constitution." It was the Republicans who defeated this bill and any member of Congress who voted for the John Warner Defense Authorization Act last year or against this restoration bill must be driven out of Congress. We ARE looking at the blueprint of Nazi Germany in this country and anyone who doubts this has NOT done the research or is in such a state of willful denial, they are akin to cattle serenely mooing as they're lined up at the slaughter house. One wonders why so many Americans continue to support public servants in Congress and the state legislatures who continue to grind our God-given rights into the dust? I can tell you: Most Americans under the age of 50 are products of the government's indoctrination centers they call public schools. Civics and government are rarely taught anymore, so tens of millions of Americans don't even know what their rights are, much less fight for them. A recent study demonstrated the success of the dumbing down of students which parents across this country pay dearly for as well as the student via the big honey pot called student loans - more financial bondage: U.S. college students fail civics test Washington, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Harvard, even though it scored the highest, was among elite U.S. colleges where students proved dismal in their knowledge of civics and history, a report said. The non-profit Intercollegiate Studies Institute analyzed scores of a test given to 14,419 freshmen and seniors at 50 U.S. colleges last fall, USA Today reported Tuesday. Overall, the freshmen tested averaged 50.4 percent on a civic literacy test, while the seniors tested averaged 54.2 percent. Seniors tested at Harvard had the highest overall average at 69.6 percent, nearly 6 points higher than its freshmen but still a D-plus, said the ISI report. A Harvard senior was the only student among the 14,419 tested to get 100 percent correct. Yale had the highest scoring freshman at 68.94 percent with freshmen at Princeton, Duke and Cornell also out scoring seniors who took the test, the report said..." Elected officials across this country from county to Congress are the product of communist incubators called public schools; colleges and universities (institutions of lower learning) are pumping young adults full of the communitarian doctrine on campuses throughout this nation. Is it any wonder so many Americans don't have a clue? Thomas Jefferson said it best: "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be...if we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed." Those who still believe there is a difference between the Democrat and Republican parties are in denial. I am fully aware after 18 long years, that millions of Americans are so entrenched in these two parties that no matter how many broken promises election after election, they still can't bring themselves to leave these two rotten, corrupt machines that do NOT represent constitutional government. They represent corporate America and foreign governments. They stand for decay, rot and the destruction of all we hold dear. The good news is, there is a substantial number of Americans who have stepped back, honestly taken a look at the last decade of political power, how it has impacted their lives and have decided they will not "vote for the lesser of two evils" next time because evil is still evil. It is exactly this movement by Americans away from the two machines that is going to make it possible - with hard work - to stop this push towards totalitarian government and change Congress and the state legislatures for the better. I have been registered independent since 1996. I left the GOP after lifetime membership when I could no longer deny the truth: the machine runs the agenda from county to Congress and both party machines are nothing more than a globalist tool to enslave we the people and destroy constitutional government. While I am a journalist, I'm not a reporter and do not feel obligated to hide my voter affiliation. I am a constitutionalist. I'm not part of the "right wing," "left wing" or any of these other stupid labels invented to keep Americans divided. However, as I am firm in my belief that we are at the end if we don't stop the NAU and reverse the destruction of the two parties by changing the balance of party control in Congress and the state legislatures in '08. If we don't, we're toast. What has been done can be undone. The office of the President doesn't mean that individual is God or a dictator as Bush has shown himself to be. We know this office has been abused beyond anything the Founding Fathers could have imagined and party hacks like Shallow Sean Hannity, Rush Windbag and other so called "conservative" talk show hosts (TV or radio) have facilitated the destruction of this country with their blind loyalty to evil. The same applies to those who support Marxists (one who believes in communism) like Bill and Hill Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards. There is only one choice for president in '08 and that is Congressman Ron Paul. Please don't send me the defeatist email that he's not one of the "top tier" sewage being shoved down the throats of conservatives because I'm not interested in the 'can't do' crowd. I have to re-register as a Republican in order to vote for Ron Paul in our primary here in Texas. Not too long ago I received an email from some foolish female who accused me of being a shill for the Republican Party because I believe Ron Paul is the only choice to sit in the Oval Office. Here's a clue for this silly hen: Ron Paul is hated by the Republican Party and anyone with half a brain knows that machine is out to destroy him as well as his own fellow Republicans. Ron Paul knows he cannot win at this time on a third party ticket, but he in no way supports the real agenda of the Republican Party and his voting records proves that statement. Once I vote in the primary, I will re-register this time as Constitution Party (CP). Sure, this requires a little bit of my time, but every vote will count in these primaries if that vote gets honestly counted. This is a small price to pay to get this man nominated next year at that all important convention. And yes, I will call the County Clerk's office to make sure my registrations are correct and recorded. Trust no one. It's unrealistic to believe we the people could take out several hundred of the 435 house seat in Congress with Constitution Party candidates, because, as an example, the CP here in Texas hasn't been given "permission" by the Democrats and Republicans who control the legislature to compete fairly for offices. But, we can take out 75-100 seats in Congress in '08 in dozens of other states. In my humble opinion - at least at the Congressional level - the state legislatures are in gross violation of the civil rights of any individual running for Congress by denying them the right to run unless they jump through hoops deliberately engineered to keep them from running. What are the qualifications for an individual to run for the House of Representatives? Article I, Section 2. "No person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the age of twenty five years, and been seven years a citizen of the United States..." No where does it state that any individual must belong to any political party to run for the House of Representatives, collect oodles of signatures or pay thousands of dollars. Yet, all 50 state legislatures, controlled by Democrats and Republicans, have made it their mission to kill any competition by forcing any individual from a "third party" who wishes to run for the U.S. House of Representatives must fulfill their laundry list of requirements or they are denied their right to run. I compare this to the term limits battle back in the '90s. While I am all for term limits, I knew the U.S. Supreme Court would shoot down any term limits laws passed by the states of the Union; they did and it was the right decision because the U.S. Constitution does not give the states the power to do this without a constitutional amendment. See: U. S. TERM LIMITS, INC., et al., PETITIONERS 93-1456 v. RAY THORNTON et al. WINSTON BRYANT, ATTORNEY GENERAL OF ARKANSAS, PETITIONER 93-1828 on writs of certiorari to the Supreme Court of Arkansas [May 22, 1995] Nos. 93-1456 and 93-1828 Political parties gain power and come and go, i.e., George Washington, Federalist; Thom Jefferson, Democratic-Republican; John Quincy Adams, Federalist; Democratic-Republican; National Republican (Whig); William Henry Harrison, Whig; Millard Fillmore, Whig during presidency, American from 1854 and so on. For decades its been the Republican and Democrat parties controlling the process and have a stranglehold over everyone. Did the Founding Fathers intend that an individual's right to seek office in the House of Representatives be dependent on the whims of political parties which happen to be the controlling ones of the time? I believe absolutely not. The states like to drag out the old "interests of the state" argument, i.e., they can't just allow any constitutionally qualified candidates on the ballot for House of Representatives because of cost. In other words, let's use (Star Trek) Spock's code: The needs of the many outweigh the constitutional rights of the few! Common sense tells us that while 12, 25 or even 50 candidates may file, time, funding and inertia will gradually self eliminate all but the few serious candidates without violating the right of the any individual to seek office. Additionally, the state legislatures cannot violate your state constitution when it comes to candidates qualifying, so candidates read your state constitution. For part two click below.
