BRING A REAL NEWSPAPER BACK INTO AMERICA'S TOWNS & CITIES

"An able, disinterested, public-spirited press, with trained intelligence to know the right and courage to do it, can preserve that public virtue without which popular government is a sham and a mockery. A cynical, mercenary, demagogic press will produce in time a people as base as itself. The power to mold the future of the Republic will be in the hands of the journalism of future generations." Joseph Pulitzer

Every day I get dozens of emails asking me to report on certain events and court cases. I'm not a daily reporter and it simply isn't possible for me to do a daily column for NWVs. It's not possible for me to track all that is going on because we're all buried under information overload and I'm no different. Americans who follow world and domestic events closely know without any doubt, that if it weren't for the Internet, we would have long ago perished under the thumb of totalitarian government. All major television and cable networks are owned by a handful of conglomerates who mold and shape how Americans think with half truths, outright lies and meaningless trash. Did you know our "justice" system has ruled that it's okay for news organizations to lie to the American people? It's true:

"On February 14, a Florida Appeals court ruled there is absolutely nothing illegal about lying, concealing or distorting information by a major press organization. The court reversed the $425,000 jury verdict in favor of journalist Jane Akre who charged she was pressured by Fox Television management and lawyers to air what she knew and documented to be false information. The ruling basically declares it is technically not against any law, rule, or regulation to deliberately lie or distort the news on a television broadcast." (Full story in link at bottom.)

America's newspapers are the same facilitators of fabrications, spin and lying through omission of events, investigations and legal issues as the boob tube because they're all owned by a half dozen massive conglomerates who also own propaganda publications like Time, Newsweek and publications put out by organizations targeted at specific age or ethnic groups. They all have a message, but few of them have any grasp of constitutional government, the restrictions placed on government - only how to vote more and more of the public's empty treasury for their pet cause.

It is estimated that 52% of American household have PCs. With almost two billion pages on the world wide web, it's difficult without massive funding to promote and advertise sites like NWVs who are eclipsed by big budget propaganda sites like ABC, CBS, CNN and FAUX (FOX) News. While NWVs continues to grow at a fast pace, we still can't reach that 48% of American households who don't have a computer. The reasons vary from age, i.e., my parents are both over 80 and have never wanted a computer. Other reasons are cost or just a general distrust of technology. We also know that time is the greatest impediment to getting the truth to Americans because of schedules crammed to the hilt. Additionally, there are millions of Americans who also want a physical newspaper they can carry on the commute train, on the bus; something they can read over breakfast, the lunch hour or in the evening in front of the fireplace when old man winter comes calling. This is a fact and that's why millions of them are sold every day in this country. But, these "mainstream" propaganda newspapers like the NY Times (All the news that's fit to fake) will not give you stories like this:

Deaths Associated with HPV Vaccine Start Rolling In, Over 3,500 Adverse Affects Reported: "In just little over a year, the HPV vaccine has been associated with at least five deaths, not to mention thousands of reports of adverse effects, hundreds deemed serious, and many that required hospitalization." And:

Four-month trial ends with no convictions
Federal income tax evasion case involved nine defendants
By Joan Whitely, Review-Journal

"A criminal tax case alleging income tax evasion and conspiracy dissolved in federal court this week, when a jury returned zero convictions on 161 charges faced by nine defendants. Monday's verdict "sends a strong message," said defense attorney Lisa Rasmussen, who represented Joel Axberg, a tile layer. Informally called the Kahre case -- after the primary defendant, local business owner Robert Kahre, who paid workers in gold and silver coins -- the trial lasted four months. It relied heavily on evidence gathered in a controversial armed raid in May 2003 on several of Kahre's local business places. The raid entailed keeping more than 20 workers handcuffed, at gunpoint, in 106-degree heat without shade or water while agents collected records and equipment." (Indictment here.)

While that trial was covered by the local Review-Journal, it should have been a hot topic of coverage on FAUX (FOX) and other "news" networks. They have remained silent. Of course, millions of Americans - if they were even given the opportunity to read about this trial - would maintain these folks "didn't pay their fair share" or other propaganda that's been pounded into their heads all their lives and would not be sympathetic to the defendants. For those who wish to become educated on why NO direct federal income tax is needed to fund the federal government, please see here and this one on the right argument on taxation. You might bookmark them for weekend reading.

U.S. v Bill Benson. This is an on-going case and one of the most important First Amendment battles raging. It is of paramount importance that Americans understand this case. You can get a very precise overview on the web site set up to educate Americans and to donate to this noble cause along with all the court docs. I have known Bill Benson for about 15 years. His attorney, Jeff Dickstein, was lead counsel in the acquittal of Joseph Banister. This case should be an on-going discussion with legal experts who appear regularly on shows like Hannity & Colmes, O'Reilly and Dan Abrams. Instead, there is absolute silence. I don't wonder why these "news" programs filled with endless gas on the sluttish lifestyles of spoiled, rich brats in Hollywood never touch these cases. This is a MAJOR legal fight and I hope you will make a donation today because this battle is for all of us and they not only cost a hefty sum of money, it affects the defendants personally; health and their freedom. People like Bill are putting everything on the line and we need to support him and his legal counsel who can't work for free.

U.S. v Sherry Jackson. This is another indictment that should have been covered in the major newspapers because Sherry is a former IRS Agents for years who quit when she found out the truth about the misapplication of the federal income tax against Americans. The feds finally went after Sherry to silence this incredible woman who I am honored to know. Sherry's trial is set for October 29th and she desperately needs donations for her legal defense; mail to Sherry Jackson, 1560 Fieldgreen Overlook, Suite A, Stone Mountain, Georgia 30088. Her attorney is Larry Becraft who was lead counsel in the acquittal of Vernice Kuglin and many others persecuted by our corrupt government - including the recent acquittal of Tommy Cryer. Tommy's case was, once again, covered locally, but it should have been covered by major "mainstream" news organizations. After all, Tommy is a lawyer and he challenged the system. Not a chance because they were big, fat, expensive black eyes for the feds. Can't let the peasants find out the truth about the income tax. Right now "mainstream" media is silent on Sherry's indictment. They're waiting to see if Sherry, God forbid, is convicted so they can then shove that down the people's throats to let them know what will happen if you don't pay your income taxes, slaves!

There are so many of these types of important legal battles that need exposing along with a page or two of crack editorials on key issues killing this country. We NEED a "new" newspaper chain to get the truth out to the American people. You won't find the truth in rags like USA TODAY or the other major "news" papers in the major metropolitan areas. You won't find this type of coverage in small town newspapers, either. My parents live in Butte County in Northern California. Their town rag carries nothing more dramatic than a few headlines here and there from AP, how many meth raids there were the night before and the big winner at last night's bingo session.

We lack a credible newspaper in all 50 states, birthed owned by real Americans. Today's modern day Paul Revere's! I am aware of some very fine publications that are available in select areas in several states, but their circulation is limited despite their very best efforts and content. One of them in operation for many years is The Idaho Observer. There is one newspaper that is now franchising and I can't stress strongly enough that this is a prime endeavor because their newspaper is quality and covers the massive corruption in our court systems that must be exposed for all Americans to see because we ARE all potential victims. Our criminal "justice" system requires victims to stay in business. If anyone thinks the Duke LaCrosse players sickening persecution by DA Mike Nifong was some sort of anomaly, they are badly mistaken. Unless we can present the types of cases being reported in the US Observer to the general population, the government will continue to pick off those who stand up for truth and justice, one at a time, bankrupting their families and most of the time throwing them in jail for crimes they did not commit. I hope you'll take time over the weekend to read this article:

Breaking the Rules
Who suffers when a prosecutor is cited for misconduct?

"Washington, June 26, 2003 - Local prosecutors in many of the 2,341 jurisdictions across the nation have stretched, bent or broken rules to win convictions, the Center has found. Since 1970, individual judges and appellate court panels cited prosecutorial misconduct as a factor when dismissing charges, reversing convictions or reducing sentences in over 2,000 cases. In another 500 cases, appellate judges offered opinions-either dissents or concurrences-in which they found the misconduct warranted a reversal. In thousands more, judges labeled prosecutorial behavior inappropriate, but upheld convictions using a doctrine called "harmless error." Misconduct by prosecutors led to the conviction of innocent individuals who were later exonerated. Guilty defendants have also had their convictions overturned and are placed back on the street. In addition, the Center found many prosecutors who were cited multiple times for misconduct. These prosecutors give recidivism-a word usually used to describe those they work to put behind bars-a disturbing new meaning "

This should scare the Hell out of every American because it's rampant in this country. In one of the US Observer's editions, I read about Jerry Spence's book, The Smoking Gun. Spence has been in the legal arena for almost a half century. A finer legal mind is difficult to find. The Smoking Gun will turn your stomach because it proves how rotten, corrupt DAs are throughout this country and to what lengths they will go to put notches on their belt. These pillars of their communities are pious on Sunday and lie through their teeth on Monday. It must stop, but only when enough Americans are exposed to what's going on in our legal system as well as reading a column or two like Alan Stang's recent, superb column, The Communist Plan for American Women.

Through hard work and dedication, The US Observer has also been available for a while in Oklahoma; US Observer Oklahoma. This was made possible by a franchise purchase and this is why I am doing this column. For sake of full disclosure, there is no compensation to me in any form. Our nation desperately needs a new newspaper franchise that will NOT sell out the American people for advertising revenues or political party games. Yes, newspapers rely on subscriptions and advertising, but as both franchises in Oregon and now Oklahoma have shown, it is a reality that you can a run a viable newspaper that tells the truth and goes after the corrupt. Americans still like their physical paper paper. However, it is inconceivable to me how anyone can continue to fund an enemy of this Republic and I do consider "mainstream" newspapers in this country who promote globalism and the destruction of this nation my enemy. This why I refuse to put my money in the pocket of the NY Times, LA Times or even my local rag. I know business owners rely on these spin machines for advertising, but as I said in my last column about political parties, there comes a time when every American has to make the difficult of decisions or continue down the path of ruin. The end game is upon us. The next year will be make or break. America needs this tool.

This is an exciting idea that can become a reality, just like more than a hundred years ago when the real news paper pioneers cranked up their little operations that eventually became the harbingers of truth for we the people. Those folks are long gone and their once proud tradition has been soiled like a baby's stinky diaper. How about a real newspaper with no sports, no boobie ads for flimsy underwear that isn't about underwear at all, and no comic strip section - just hard hitting truth? Sign me up for a lifetime subscription! We the people can change this by supporting the US Observer when it comes to your state. I believe in the American entrepreneurial spirit and drive and I will support all such efforts.

Not everyone has the ability to start and run a newspaper - even if at this time it's a weekly publication (just give it some time!). It also costs money to purchase the franchise and get it going. But, I know there are a lot of Americans in this country who are very financially blessed. There are fine, truly patriotic Americans in this country who have the money and are looking for an investment opportunity and I submit to you, this is one that should not be passed by. America is full of talented and creative people. I'm also guessing there are a lot of individuals with great journalistic talent that would love to work for a real newspaper. If you or someone you know has the type of capital that can buy a franchise for your state or several individuals who could pool together the funds, I urge you to contact Ed Snook in Oregon at 1-541-474-7885 and begin the process of becoming the new generation of newspaper chain in America. Ed started this and he is the man who can and will do everything to assist a new franchise get up and running.
