IS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PUNISHING TEXAS WITH DEADLY WEATHER?

Earlier this year, the federal government announced a military exercise would take place among the civilian population in five southwestern states: Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. Code name: Jade Helm. Dates of military exercise: July 18 to September 15. Twelve hundred soldiers, including Green Berets and Navy Seals, will attempt to blend in with the civilian population to, among other things, extract human targets unnoticed.
As you can imagine, conspiracy theories abound. On April 28, Texas Governor Greg Abbott ordered the Texas State Guard to monitor the operation, declaring, "During the training operation, it is important that Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property rights, and civil liberties will not be infringed." A survey of registered Republicans by Public Policy Polling in May found 32% thought "the government is trying to take over Texas.” Half of polled Tea Party supporters expressed concern over an imminent Texas invasion.
The final days of Jade Helm just happen to coincide with the Shemitah, the last day of the seven-year Jewish Sabbath that since 1973 remarkably coincides with increasingly harmful economic crashes on a seven-year cycle, including the terrorist attack and crash of 2001 and the even more severe crash of 2008 (Jonathan Cahn, The Mystery of the Shemitah). Many express concern about China’s public admission that it wants to dethrone the dollar and replace it with its yuan on the world market, and given our unsustainable debt and the Federal Reserve’s massive dollar printing of late, such a notion is strong possibility. The crash of the dollar would bring the welfare state to its knees overnight, resulting in widespread rioting and unrest. If this were to occur, wouldn’t it be convenient if the military were already on site to keep the peace in one of the most independent-minded, conservative states with the most arms per capita? (Can you say, “Disarmament”?)
Some communities in the area targeted for this exercise have loudly protested, and none so loud as Bastrop, Texas. Coincidentally, Bastrop is one of the areas hardest hit by recent flooding. Whole neighborhoods are underwater. Roads have washed away. Cars and lives are lost.
One blogger – Steve Quayle – suspects the weather is evidence the federal government has tried to take revenge against the people of Bastrop with a secret weapon designed to conjure up “deadly weather warfare.” I have perused some of the evidence of how such a weapon would work, and I think it about as realistic as Luke Skywalker’s light saber. Science fiction is hard to distinguish from fact if you are ignorant of the science. The “deadly weather weapon” theory, however, just doesn’t pass my sniff test. In spite of the fact that I consider the idea of such a weapon almost laughable, the notion brings up a very interesting issue that merits our attention.
Maybe it’s not the feds. Maybe it’s an even more formidable enemy to freedom.
Let me introduce this issue by mentioning that there are many battlefronts where freedom-loving Americans must engage in order to preserve liberty for the next generation. Threats to our liberty include:
•
the increase in the size and power of the central government,
• government over-spending and unsustainable
debt,
• the growing welfare state,
• unconstitutional wars and invasions,
• the gradual surrender of national sovereignty
to the United Nations,
• attempts to protect us from crime through gun
regulation or disarmament,
• a judiciary that will not limit itself to constitutionally-authorized
powers,
• and a Congress who won’t make them;
• Obamacare,
• RINOs,
• illegal immigration,
• the corruption and militarization of law enforcement,
• the Federal Reserve, whose actions virtually
guarantee the collapse of the dollar,
• a godless public education system,
• growing threats to home-schooling,
• increasing tolerance of homosexuality and Islam,
• and gay marriage, just to name a few.
In spite of all of the encroaching threats to our freedom, the Bible teaches that God – not tyranny – is the greatest threat to liberty. Not Obama. Not the Democratic Party. Not the U.N. Not the Federal Reserve. Not the CFR and the Trilateral Commission. Not gun control and illegal immigrants. Not Muslim jihadists. God Almighty is the greatest threat to our freedom, and He is a formidable enemy indeed!
The Bible mentions three primary reasons God judges nations:
•
idol worship,
• homosexuality,
• and unpunished murder.
Regarding idol worship: in the name of the “separation of church and state,” it seems every vestige of Christianity has been torn from the fabric of our government, our schools, and our institutions. Regarding homosexuality: with judiciary-mandated same-sex marriage in several states, and with an impending Supreme Court decision on the issue, we are prepared to spit in the eye of the One who now holds a gavel over us to smash us. Add to that the unpunished murder of over 55 million children slaughtered in the name of “choice”. God’s wrath is hot indeed! As Billy Graham said, if God does not judge America, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.
Maybe it’s not the “weather warfare weapon” Mr. Quayle suspects. Maybe it’s the five abortion clinics within thirty minutes of Bastrop.
One of the ways God judges nations is by setting tyrants over them. He sends invading armies, pestilence, economic collapse, famine, slavery, and yes, even deadly weather. Read the judgments God pronounces upon Israel for sin in Deuteronomy 27 through 33. Read the judgments pronounced against the Gentiles nations in the prophets and in the book of Revelation. God is patient and longsuffering, but frequently the legalized killing of children is the last straw before He finally sends judgment. It’s not murder that brings the wrath of God, but unpunished murder. Innocent blood, the Bible says, defiles the land and only justice can cleanse the land of bloodguilt (Numbers 35, Deuteronomy 21).
Knowing this, we should immediately align our priorities aright. Until states and communities arrest and prosecute the baby-killers among us, we don’t deserve liberty but tyranny. Until we protect the children as we would want to be protected, our fight on every other battlefront is a waste of time. Until there is justice for “the least” of God’s children, there will be no lasting divine mercy and blessing for us.
What about Roe v. Wade?
Another reason God gives for sending bitter judgment upon His people is “they walked in the statutes of the heathen” (2 Kings 17:8). Judicially-mandated child sacrifice is not lawful, but is a lawless act of defiance against God, who hastens judgment upon us. States should immediately defy the unlawful dictates mandating child sacrifice, and they should arrest and prosecute baby-killers. Woe unto us if we don’t.
