BIG SHOCK OF 2008: WHO NEEDS WHOM?

In Part I, I wrote that Hurricane Katrina revealed to millions that we are on our own. I’d said that we have always been on our own, and that the uneven response should have been a wake-up call, but it was not. Americans talked, but did little. The illusion that we can count on government to protect us was not shattered for tens of millions until 2008 when a number of suspicious scandals defied the will of the people and went entirely against our better judgment and authority. That’s your big shock of 2008.
Now, tens of millions have their wake-up call and shock, and now come to understand that not only will government be unable to protect you on so many levels, but that they are unwilling, and even stubbornly refuse to do the job for which they were hired: protecting our rights in the derivation of just powers from the Sovereign. Where do we go from here?
Point Number One is to realize that it was all an illusion. The very idea that Government will protect you has always been an illusion. When it comes to violence as a very good for-instance, police have no duty to protect individuals. They never have since the formation of an organized police force in the middle 1800’s. Waiting for permission to act in facing grave danger alone or waiting for police, period, is to believe in an illusion. The Fatal Assumption, my words. Courts have ruled (as in Lynch v. NC DOJ that “Police have no duty to protect individuals from the criminal acts of others” ... “Their duty lies in enforcement of the law.”) The same is true with all other looting. The entire proposition people need to comprehend is that action, civil or criminal, is after-the-fact, and sometimes not so hot at that.
The
real parsimony of time and energy is in redirecting our hopes elsewhere.
The reality is that we have before us an enormous opportunity to solve
one of our greatest political problems, the assumption of powers not
granted. Where we go from here is to summon liberty-knowledgeable individuals
to get into the high speed media to invigorate the rest of the electorate.
To educate. To inform and to inspire. This concentrates on making individuals
aware of their personal authority and with more certainty and confidence.
For the liberty nuts joining the movement, there is a tremendous sense
of purpose in making a difference.
Not only are we on our own, but we must summon that very concept, utilize
it and invoke it as Liberty and Independence that belongs to us in oversight
of our servants. Being on our own is not a problem, it is a solution.
It is Opportunity to regain self-rule.
The question on everyone’s lips in 2009 from the experience of finally shattering this illusion that government cares and acts intelligently should be this: Who really needs whom? Through due process and follow-through, not to mention a little critical analysis from Liberty Nuts, the answer will become obvious. Through due process, it must be invoked on our legal authority and say-so.
Enter the Liberty Purists who know the problem, who know where it came from, and who know the way home. These so-called Constitution Nuts, Gun Nuts and Sovereignty Nuts castigated for their views I affectionately refer to as an aggregate of Liberty Nuts, and we are all on the same page when it comes to understanding our Independence better than servants do. The content of the Liberty Nuts will be edifying the electorate, inspiring with guidance and civics, where necessary, and, in short, giving confidence and certainty of authority to specific problems.

The servants will never get it, because they are too self-dealing. Preaching to the choir doesn’t mean the message stops there – it means we now have thousands who can bring the liberty message outside the liberty community to those millions waiting to learn what to do next. They were simply not ready to hear such a message; the illusion was still in front of them then.
