YOUR DEFENSE AGAINST EVIL SUGGESTIONS

The father of modern confusion, Karl Marx, was once called one of the most evil men of the 20th century (even though he lived and died in the 19th Century). He was the quintessential liberal, code-named political manipulator. He developed a widely used system of deflecting public scrutiny and once taught followers, later called communists, how to confuse opponents. He said, "Accuse people of what you do to them.”

Have you ever caught a wrongdoer in the act and noticed how he instinctively spun the truth around and accused you of the very thing he was doing to you? He gets away Scott free, seemingly. By such means, entire nations are confounded and end up being ruled by those with the darkest minds.

There are a myriad of ways in which we can all be held down by confounding suggestions emanating from every corner of life. We live in the day of clever manipulators, but good is not undone. There also exists a powerful defense against evil's primary tool, hypnotic suggestion. See the exercise I refer to at the very end of this article.

The most despicable, oft-repeated lie about hypnosis is that one cannot be hypnotized to think what is untrue or to act against one’s own free will. This is simply false. Skilled manipulators have known it forever. The manipulators have guarded this secret carefully, partly by repeating the lie that such influence is impossible. It is not safe to regard hypnosis as a harmless parlor game, or to remain oblivious to how it works.

Without awareness of how hypnotic influence works and how to counter and reduce its influence in oneself and others, even people living in supposedly free societies will become increasingly enslaved to influences largely invisible to them—while simultaneously being hypnotized to regard themselves as free and in charge of their own lives. There is an effective DE-hypnotic countermeasure available. The key is learning to notice and give up resentment of even the tiniest things in the present moment. See the Be Still and Know audio exercise referred to at the very end of this article.

As just one example of manipulative techniques we experience (and perhaps use) all the time, consider the tactic, recommended by Karl Marx in the above quotation, of accusing your victim (or an innocent bystander) of doing what you are doing. This should bring to mind the old adage—“the best defense is a good offense.” Variations of this tactic are often used by criminal psychopaths, as well as in more ordinary human encounters.

Similar suggestions given under any kind of duress carry the equivalent of the destructive force of C-4 explosives, psychologically speaking. Not only are most people living under some form of mental incarceration within families, but entire nations also function as if under a hypnotist's spell.

Unless an antidote to the posthypnotic effect of grand scale suggestions is found, we are all bound to a life of servitude to other people, medicine and the machine of politics. A huge percentage of Americans have and continue to suffer from some form of life altering bullying.

One would think that researchers, psychiatrists and psychologists, would have seen these principles at work in their practices and found a cure. I strongly suspect they have not found the answer because of their misguided education and the woeful ignorance of the subject of hypnosis. Their pseudo-expertise is not in short supply. Think of the loss of power and money to organized medicine and the pharmaceutical industry if ordinary people fully realized the simple God-given protections already within us all, awaiting discovery and activation. Those who would be powerful work to make others dependent, powerless and miserable. We must realize that there is a countermeasure and a cure--and quickly.

The cure of all implanted behavior is surprisingly simple, requiring an understanding in the living application of just one principle. However, from a personal perspective, as well as a national security one, it will be wise to first explore the antidote’s evil twin.

The 19th century psychologist F. C. Hecker discovered what you are about to read and decided to soft-pedal his finding – with good reason. He discovered the importance of what modern psychologists titled "sympathy,” and stressed the existence of an increased rate of suggestibility in any community led by or inhabited by infected individuals.

As surely as the bubonic plague is contagious, those in close proximity can absorb the unstable mentality of determined manipulators. This causes people to embrace reason and folly, good and evil, as moral equivalents—while diminishing the value of virtue. Hecker was referring to an altered state of consciousness through which the masses could be made docile enough to believe and do anything, all from subtly encountered suggestions.

On a brighter side, it is good to know that no suggestions are permanent unless continuously reinforced. Daily doses of resentment and the close proximity to symbols such as the innocuous appearance of a crucifix around the neck of a passerby might well have the effect of the typical posthypnotic reinforcement for a religious belief system, implanted years ago. Perhaps you can already see the dangerous ground I'm treading. It is possible that you are not really a Christian (or any other persuasion)—but rather a slave of some kind of diabolical imposter that masquerades as the real thing.

You must wake up and get unstuck from the reinforcing effects of suggestions. Severely traumatized people have a difficult time breaking free from the past because of reinforcement in the present. The core of their being has become entwined with the identity of the original hate object. Survival often requires perpetual servitude to vile affections. The problem becomes a fear of rejection, a favorite tease of manipulators. This is the reason why you cannot say no to unreasonable requests.

Hecker compares the similarity of the programmed masses with the first activities of an infant mind, because the behavior of children is based upon imitation. When imitation exists in the highest degree the victim loses all power over will. This occurs as soon as the impression on the senses has become firmly established producing a condition like that of a small animal fascinated by the sight of the serpent. Hecker’s finding places independence of the greater proportion of mankind in a very doubtful light. This is the genius of communism, holding the principles of consensus. It is this forced consensus that demolishes the mind and spirit of the individual. It also supplies the “free thinker” with an identity shaped to social approval or disapproval. Here is where a strange sympathy rises for the perversion of good. The homless are often recipients of such sympathy by do-gooder manipulators.

More allied to a morbid communal sympathy is the diffusion of violent excitements, especially those of religious or political nature. These have so powerfully agitated nations of ancient and modern times that they cause a total loss of power over the will of the people, presenting an actual disease of mind and body.

Russian psychiatrists thoroughly understood the principle of demolishing the collective mind and establishing a morbid sympathy for perversion. This is the mechanism for the transference of the people's loyalty from their own common sense to those perverts in power.

Describing this pernicious trait is one thing, but fixing it is quite another. Hecker wrote, "Far be it from us to attempt to awaken all the various tones of this cord, whose vibrations revealed profound secrets which lie hidden in the innermost recesses of the soul. We might well want power adequate for so vast an undertaking."

It has long been known that any excitement of an emotional nature, such as found at rock concerts or highly charged religious preaching, can hypnotically transform loyalties and induce the very transference described herein. The deadliest shocks are those delivered through deprivation, extreme violence, and a history of confusion and injustice. Historical tyrants like Stalin and Hitler have no corner on this market. Parents can play this game.

Injustice is the deadliest weapon of mass destruction. It can penetrate and plant suggestion deeply into the soul, below the level of consciousness. The greater the injustice the more surely the sympathy, and then the suggestibility to the adversary is guaranteed. Notice how a drunken father is hated by his wife and later his children. The injustice of his drunkenness creates a hate in the wife. She often embellishes the harm done to her and gains the sympathy of her children. Once that sympathy is resident, mom now has power to plant any suggestions she wants, even to suggest that they will become like their father.

Once an impression is made, the victim is destined to surrender his will to those who know how to "press buttons." Those who understand the use of this dark art have a kind of addiction to the effortless power granted by the victims of past conditioning. It is the resentful reaction of the victim that empowers the manipulator.

There are two places where predators live. First they are on the outside then they get inside your head, by virtue of your angry reactions and resentments. Struggling against the images in your mind has exactly the same effect as struggling with a real person, causing burnout and surrender.

Externally conditioned people with little identity of their own have a desperate need to be serviced by their corrupters. Buy a Paul McCartney concert ticket and you are cooked. Such people tend to recreate and then rearrange the circumstances of their childhood, their marriage, and all that is equivalent to self-induced, posthypnotic suggestion. Most people in the world exist in this altered state of consciousness, established by and sustained through stress; yes, just stress will keep everything alive. What gives stress it’s power over you is your resentful reaction to it.

Life and culture have become hypnotic. The very pressures of life exert a sustaining hypnotic influence on us all. Every race, color and creed tends to defend this particular existence against other cultures, to its death. It is black against white, old against young, class warfare, husband against wife. It's all a matter of with whom we identify.

Right or wrong, the ground of our being becomes not out of our common humanity, but rather the familiar customs, country, language and borders. And so, by chance of birth, we all forget who we really are and who originally created us in his image.

We completely forget the paradise that might have been, all lost in the wind of suggestion induced conditioning. Were it not for our petty loyalties, we would all be united as brothers and sisters beneath our skins. There are thousands of pathologies caused by religion, politics and medicine, to say nothing of those caused by just plain meanness. There is, however, one kind of human being that tyrants, big and small, fear. They tremble in the presence of the natural faith, shining through nearly every child. Children are the targets of search and destroy missions from the day they come into the world.

In a free society like America, we have been misshaped by those destructive and demoralizing influences of family, school and lots of television. If this is not remedied quickly, we shall lose all our liberties. What great armies could not do, we do to ourselves by clinging to suggestions and culture. Our forget-me-not culture makes it impossible for us to believe and do anything, no matter how insane. Has it happened to you? Has rage transferred your loyalties from yourself to your smiling tormentors? In your rebellion you are running away from the pain of conflict to equally dangerous pleasure givers?

You can now be free if you understand this. There is only one good thing that can be said about a slave’s mentality. It is better to face God as a victim of suggestion than face God as the manipulating tormentor. Like Karl Marx, manipulators are far weaker inside than the bully. Hiding this fact from the masses is his entire preoccupation by bullying. Manipulators are usually intelligent, cold type-A males. They have learned to operate just under the radar of most people. Some of them have become evil in an effort to survive. They use evil, not God, to succeed. They hate their own weakness and become skilled in exploiting other people's weaknesses. They are typically woman haters, knowing that a woman defeated them in childhood. Herein lies their Achilles' heel.

Fortunately there is nothing in the manipulator, on Earth or in hell that can defeat your objective (i.e., nonresentful) gaze. Because God is God, the manipulator has no real abilities or power except the power he steals from your overreaction. He is 95% nothing, 2% charm and 3% nerves. It is only your resentful belief that he has power, which gives him power. Staring at him from your quiet place is more than enough weapon. If you keep staring, just watching every adjustment he makes or word he speaks will reveal more of his true nature and methods that disturbed him. Therefore be still, you need do nothing else. Do not react and then find that he fights with a shadow. Just sit there and keep staring while the manipulator fools himself in his belief that he controls you.

There are not really many different kinds of mental illness. It's all the same internal conflicts and disconnects with different experiences guiding the morbid behavior and topology. We must all simply learn how to take charge of our own emotional engines. The gift of common sense is the politics of another dimension. This gifted sense is a threat to those who are asleep. Manipulators are asleep on another level as surely as you are.

The connection of your soul to its parent spirit is their target. Manipulators fear and hate you for one thing; seeing them without resentment. Being exposed as nothings is their greatest nightmare. Being indigenous to this world, these predators instinctively know how to exploit your inherent weakness. In time you will learn the value of faith and gain strength through all you suffer.

The sophisticated principles of the mechanics of hypnosis keep most of the world under its spell. Pity, because hypnosis is snake oil. It is not real power. Hypnosis is merely a form of sleep. Multitudes born into various religious and political dictatorships mindlessly embrace the authority of those who preceded them. But they are all generationally and inherently asleep and will surely reelect the despots of their parents.

Generally speaking, the least stubborn of implanted behaviors tend to lose their force over time as people are left alone to shake off the suggestions and wake up from their stupor.

The missing ingredient to protect our freedom boils down to understanding how daily doses of resentment keep all of our past conditioning alive. Resentful struggle is the equivalent of feeding the problem and makes matters worse. It is like throwing fat on the fire to put it out. Resentful struggle will not help you overcome your problem, but will cause you to sink more quickly into an emotional swamp that will bury you. To struggle resentfully means to cooperate with the cause of your destruction. You need to first become free from resentment.

Deep down, every human soul everywhere has a healthy aspiration to breathe free and lead the blessed life that becomes fully possible only when resentment is dropped, and entanglement with the age-old game ends. Stepping out of the game, and becoming free from its tug, is the first and most indispensable freedom each of us must find. And each person can find it without anyone else’s permission, wherever they are, under whatsoever government they now live. The other difficulties will resolve with surprising ease, though not without pain, conflict and sacrifice, once enough people find this key and begin living without resentment.

To free yourself from the state where neither rebellion nor conformity helps, you must learn to deal properly, without resentment, to pressures of any kind. My Be Still and Know meditation exercise shows you how to do this and helps you practice remaining in the proper state. You can get a copy at fhu.com or by calling 800-877-3227.

Roy Masters—who in his 80s continues to broadcast the longest-running counseling show in talk radio history, his internationally syndicated daily radio program Advice Line, grew up in pre-WWII England. He started his journey toward understanding human nature when as a teen he saw a stage hypnotist at a vaudeville show in Brighton. The hypnotist easily put volunteer subjects in a spell and made them do outlandish things, like dancing with a broom and forgetting their own names.

Puzzled by the hypnotist’s mysterious power, Roy distinctly remembers pondering the question: “Why can’t hypnotism be used to make people act sensibly, rather than foolishly?” Inspired by the idea of harnessing this baffling force for good, he later pursued the art of hypnotism and established a successful hypnotherapy practice.

After several years of practice, Masters made his central and pivotal discovery about the root of people’s emotional problems, addictions and complexes. He realized that people did not need hypnosis, because their core problem was that they are already hypnotized—not by a clever stage performer, but by the stresses, pressures and seductions of daily life.

He used his knowledge to discover a way to help us become de-hypnotized, and discovered that the root of the power of negative suggestion lay in our wrong emotional response, that of resentment. Masters’ remarkably effective exercise, a simple observation technique called Be Still and Know—is at the core of his unmatched track record in helping people overcome even the most serious mental-emotional problems, and is the centerpiece of a successful program within the U.S. military community (“Patriot Outreach”) that is helping thousands of military personnel and their families cope with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
