An honest man will continue to be so though surrounded on all sides by rogues. - Charles Caleb Colton

Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom. -Thomas Jefferson, letter to Nathaniel Macon, Jan. 12, 1819

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. -Matthew 7:20

On Monday, November 16, 2015, Donald Trump came to Knoxville, TN. My good friend, Knoxville's former sheriff, alerted me prior to the news hitting the media. I immediately sent the information to all TN contacts and ordered the free tickets.

Knoxville's Convention Center was the site of Mr. Trump's speech. It holds 12,000 people, and the entire room was full with wall to wall standing people. There were no chairs because there are only 10,000 chairs in the building. I was told that 16,000 people signed up to hear him. Mr. Trump was to speak at 7 p.m., and we got there at 4:30, and it was already filling up.

There were Secret Service people everywhere. They checked us in and wanded us after we put our goods through the x-ray machine. The Secret Service men were a lot better looking than any of the TSA gropers at the airports. The fellow that checked me was a real hunk, and I told him so. You'd think they'd be serious, but he laughed and thanked me. I may be old, but I can still appreciate a good looking man. There were a great many of them and they all had on bullet-proof vests.

In a crowd that big, with like minded people, it was easy to start up a conversation. Many of us commented on how many young people had come to hear The Donald, and we were all very pleased!

Forty-five minutes before Mr. Trump arrived, veterans led us in the pledge of allegiance, and the National Anthem was sung by a gal with a beautiful voice. We all joined in, those of us who remember the words anyway.

Then the master of ceremonies introduced us to Beada Corum, a 92 year old woman who has registered to vote for the first time in her life. Why? Because she wants to vote for Donald Trump. She will be 93 the end of November, 2015. “I think he ought to be the president of this country,” she said. “He says, ‘I don’t need your money. I just want America back like it’s supposed to be. And I’m going to try my best to get it that way.’ He’s going to stop this crime. He’s going to work with the soldiers and the sailors and all that about over in other countries coming over here, too. Blowing up everything just like they did in 9/11.”

Here is Beada's short speech, and what a powerhouse this little lady is with her statements about Mr. Trump!

Next up was The Donald himself, and the crowd went crazy!

He gave a rousing speech, and he mentioned the fact that the room was crammed with folks, and more were waiting outside, who couldn't get in because the room had reached capacity. He stated that the media never shows the crowds, so my husband took a 360 degree video of the Convention Center room. Turn up your speakers so you can hear Donald talking about the media. Notice everyone turns to look at them.

Here is a picture of the Knoxville media. Notice none were smiling when Mr. Trump spoke about them.

When Mr. Trump was finished speaking, he stepped off the dais and into the crowd.

Not since 1963, when I was a Goldwater girl, have I seen a presidential candidate step down into the crowd to talk to the people, and especially to the veterans. Most candidates ask for your support, meaning your money, and then are quickly escorted off the stage. Not Donald Trump. He stayed for an extra hour talking to people, signing autographs, and answering questions.

We helped several in wheel chairs to get closer to him so they too could speak to this man. People moved and let them through.

What a wonderful evening, and what a wonderful speech by a very personable man, a man we truly need in our White House as the next President of the United States.

Wake up, it's our last chance to save America.
