KEEP AWAY FROM THE FUNERALS

This war in Iraq has turned into quite the controversy and political nightmare. It’s all sounding so boring now….. Where are the weapons of mass destruction? How many more billions must we spend? How many more troops must die, on and on? But as spicy and difficult as all the analysis of the war and its challenges become due to all the media distortion, one reality trumps most the other war rumors, and blow ups,….. that is people in the name of God demonstrating at military funerals all across the country, most recently in my home state Washington. Members of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka Kansas think they are doing the will of God by going around saying that God is killing troops in Iraq to punish the nation for its tolerance of homosexuality. Just one of the plaques I saw recently said, “God Blew up the Troops.”

I guess those of us who support our troops and wouldn’t dream of ruining someone’s funeral are all going to hell. The last I heard, The Bible says you will know them by their love, not love for hate and torture of others but love for one another. But what do I know, I’m one of those reprobates who will burn in hell because I wouldn’t dream of protesting at anyone’s funeral, regardless of what I thought of that person, who they were and what they had done in their life.

Regardless of how any of you shape this war, shame on all who would dare to do anything so anti Christ and evil as to even think about appearing at anyone’s funeral to protest. We can all argue about differences and lifestyle issues over coffee. Leave people’s funerals alone!!!

Then of course there is what I thought would be an obvious conclusion to anyone sane, that regardless of how a person views aspects of a messy war, and they ALL are messy, our troops are to be respected and honored for their incredible sacrifice and service. How stunningly horrific that anyone would be so thin and disloyal as to try and ruin their funeral!!!

How come it seems that the worst offenders of evil pie squared quote scripture out of context and pretend to know the inner mind of God? I guess when the KKK and Baptist church above mention Gods will on their hateful signs we are to bow down in submission and water the hate garden!!! I found out this week that the lovely KKK has been growing again all across the country but they are wising up with the manipulative PR machine. They finally realized it seems that talking about hanging black people and destroying all Jews makes them sound like marginalized freaks. Onward now to “we plan to solve the illegal immigration problem.” Since so many are concerned about securing our borders why not prey on the stupidity and desperation of the masses by riding in on the KKK horse and offering to fix it.

Lets start with fixing the illegal alien problem by shaming and outlawing the illegal “human beings to the human race” like the KKK. How is it that after all of their murderous history they are still legal in this country??? They are typical cons, use and manipulate whatever they have to, to push more hate!!!

Regardless of all our differences, can we please agree that funerals are sacred territory? Can we keep our views and scripture quoting away from the grieving family unless of course it is to comfort!!!
