A Jury found today that John Couey will get the death penalty. Now, the whole time in this trial his attorney was arguing that the poor boy was mentally retarded and suffers from chronic mental illness. Thus I assume he was not responsible for the endless urges to rape and kill little children, the latest prize being Jessica Lunsford. At least for some of you pacifists reading this, you might notice when he buried her alive it was with her pet Dolphin. And of course, we must pause and reflect on the Psychologist�s comments, reminding us of his marginal IQ and mental challenges.

Well I have news for the whacko psychologist. I also have a Ph.D. in counseling and have counseled folks on and off for 20 years. Retarded people and those who are mentally challenged don�t just naturally want to rape little girls and burry them alive. If one wants to travel down that road then you can make a case that all crime is born out of retardation and mental illness. It sure doesn�t reflect any sort of values, common sense or logic. I�m just relieved and thrilled that a jury in this day and age saw through the psychological whine fest to the brazen evil it must have taken to rape and burry alive a little child.

Do any of you actually care if he blames his mommy, ex girl friend, his lamp stand or pet dog! I�m sorry if he was hurt and betrayed as a child. He still had a sea of choices to make and HE made them! Then he himself willingly walked into a life of repeat perversion, assaults, crime and then murder. The only thing different about the conclusion of the jury I would ad, is to allow the parents and hour with him before he is executed.

The thing that kills me more than anything is that in many cases a jury doesn�t do the common sense thing. They kiss up to the psychotic, ever so empathic psychologist who only understands the suffering of a serial killer and pervert from hell. Few juries any more display enough empathy for the victim, especially, if it is a sex crime against a little child. Too many cases are in the back of my head, where a young person was raped or attacked by a pervert, then the psycho is caught and sent away for 9 months,1 or 2 years. Compare that to the sanity of Agent Ramos and Campeon getting 11 and 12 years in prison for shooting a drug runner in self-defense.

I say, as a Mom, counselor and American, good riddance!!! Bye Bye John Couey.
