NEW ORLEANS, CRIMINALS, AND SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS
PART 2 of 2

Senator Feinstein Carried a Concealed Handgun
Senator Diane Feinstein, D-CA is a San Francisco native, a radical activist against Second Amendment rights and reportedly the only person in San Francisco with a gun permit. In the year 2000 on 60 minutes she said, “If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an out-right ban… (Ban on guns in the US) I would have done it.”
She doesn’t want honest responsible citizens to have a hand gun, or any kind of gun for that matter, yet she has had a permit to carry a handgun and did so. She was reportedly the target of a radical group and was in fear of her life. Feinstein said, “I know the urge to arm yourself because that’s what I did. I was trained in firearms. I’d walk to the hospital when my husband was sick. I carried a concealed weapon. I made the determination that if somebody was going to try to take me out; I was going to take them with me.” Diane’s gun training had to be minute as she is shown in a photo demonstrating an automatic weapon to a group of people with her finger on the trigger and pointing the gun at the audience. Both things a person trained in the use of firearms would never do.
It’s good for me, but not for the pathetic sheeple, is the general attitude of liberal senators and congressman and this is sheer hypocrisy on Diane’s part. Does Feinstein believe the founding fathers were stupid and ignorant when they included Second Amendment rights in the Constitution? The fact is police can’t protect you from criminals; you’re on your own. This was shown to be fact in the initial days in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. Feinstein recognized when there is no one there to protect you, you do it yourself; so she got a handgun. Government is generally inefficient, corrupt, and unable to care for you, and that’s why Feinstein carried a handgun. I repeat that the federal, state, and local governments can’t protect you from the opportunistic criminal element in society. If the reader doubts this statement, then he should read the following paragraph.
Is Your Family Safe? There Is a Rape and Sexual Assault every 2 Minutes.
Let’s take a look at the national crime statistics: They show that by mid-2004 there were over 2.1 million individuals incarcerated in local jails and prisons in the US; this was a 2.3 percent increase over the previous 12 months. One could conclude, with that many people in prison there should be little if any crime. Unfortunately, that just isn’t so. The national crime time clock shows there’s no shortage of crime across the US. Many of the following stats are published by the U.S. Department of Justice and others. The Crime Clock shows the occurrence of crimes in the United States for 2003-4: A violent crime occurs every 6 seconds, murder every 32 minutes, robbery every 57 seconds, physical assault every 7 seconds, rape and sexual assault every 2 minutes, and burglary every 10 seconds. These are just a sample of the crimes against society that are constantly taking place. . And Diane, Sarah, Chuck, and Teddy and their friends want your handgun and rifle so they can further empower predators who have declared open season on the American taxpayer. Does the reader consider himself a meal ticket for the next unemployed thug? It’s unlikely that a women trained in the use of a handgun will be humiliated by being raped by a bozo with or without a STD.
Concealed Handgun Carry Good for All States
In Florida many tourists who fly in and rent a car are subject to carjackers who know the tourist cannot carry a gun on an airline. It’s open season on hapless victims year around. It’s been said if bears carried guns there would be fewer hunters. The risk factor would be unacceptable to the hunter. John R. Lott Jr., author of More Guns, Less Crime, said, “ If the rest of the country had adopted right-to-carry concealed-handgun provisions in 1992, about 1,500 murders and 4,000 rapes would have been avoided.” There would be far fewer rapes and assaults on women, as the previous statement declares, if they possessed and were trained in the use of a handgun. Every woman who is able to should consider the previous fact and act accordingly. Those who would disarm the American citizen are the enemy, not the gun or honest citizen gun owner. If you are about to be assaulted, raped, or robbed, and your gun is gone, invoking the name of Charles Schumer, Edward Kennedy, Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, or Sarah Brady will have no effect on your assailant. The Second Amendment is a gift to be cherished from the wisdom of the founding fathers of our US Constitution in a very unpredictable world.
In Florida Your Home Is Your Castle
Florida has become the bellwether state for gun rights in recent years, leading the way in pro-gun legislation. The “Castle Doctrine” was signed into law on April 27, 2005, and will take effect October 1, 2005. “The "Castle Doctrine" simply says that if a criminal breaks into your home, your occupied vehicle, or your place of business, you may presume he is there to do bodily harm, and you may use any deadly force against him. It also removes the “duty to retreat” if you are attacked in any place you have a right to be. Furthermore, this law provides protection from criminal prosecution and civil litigation for those who defend themselves from criminal attack.
Past National Rifle Association (NRA) president and current Executive Director of Unified Sportsmen of Florida, Marion P. Hammer, stated, "Existing law is on the side of the criminal. The news that you can’t defend yourself against a rapist who’s trying to drag you into an alley or against a carjacker who’s trying to drag you out of your car is nonsense. The ability to protect yourself, your children, or your spouse is important, no matter where you are. I want to thank Governor Bush and the bill sponsors, Sen. Peaden and Rep. Baxley, for supporting this vital measure. This law is about affirming that your home is your castle and, in Florida, you have a right to be absolutely safe inside its walls,” Hammer concluded.
Sam Adams Speaks Out on Guns
Samuel Adams was no slouch in representing his views on gun rights. He said, “And that the said Constitution be never construed to authorize Congress to infringe the just liberty of the press, or the rights of conscience; or to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms; … or to prevent the people from petitioning, in a peaceable and orderly manner, the federal legislature, for a redress of grievances; or to subject the people to unreasonable searches and seizures of their persons, papers or possessions.”
UN Wants Your Guns
Second Amendment rights are under siege around the world. The United Nations World Constitution says, “The age of nations must end… The governments of the nations have decided to order their separate sovereignties into one government to which they surrender their arms.” The UN constitution is in conflict with the US Constitution which says, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.” Obviously, the UN is not interested in the concept of a free state, but totalitarian control of the citizenry.
The argument the liberals use that guns are only for the police and military is shown to be hollow by the following statement, “But restricting arms to the military and police eviscerates the principle that power should flow from the people to government, and turns the government into a master rather than a servant. Those opposed to the Second Amendment have been charged with "project[ing] an elitist myopia that may well reflect their own safe and privileged position in society." That seems to fit well with Ted Kennedy.
Free Man or Slave?
In conclusion, our founding fathers never intended we be without firearms to protect our homes, family, and Constitution. Thomas Jefferson said, “No free man shall ever be de-barred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain their right to keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty, and the price to keep and bear, arms is the same.
