We live in a day where we are continually told that the highest good, the very best virtue, the noblest human quality is tolerance. We are told we must tolerate those we disagree with no matter what. So if the issue is regards the murder of the unborn, we must not be too disturbed about this, we must just tolerate those on the other side. Or if the issue is the nature of the God ordained institution of marriage, those who hold to the opposite belief about this tell us that we must tolerate them. We must tolerate those who want to erase our countries boarders, we must tolerate those who want to stupify the children in our land by indoctrination, and we must tolerate those who demand that Christians be silent in the public arena in our day.
Video of the Sermon:
You can probably think of a dozen more examples as well. The curious thing about those who most loudly preach tolerance is their own excessive intolerance. They will not tolerate anyone who disagrees with them on any issue that is important to them. Consider as just one example, the female who has decided she ought to inhabit the White House.
Clinton told attendees at the sixth annual Women in The World Summit that “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed” for the sake of giving women access to “reproductive health care… Far too many women are denied access to reproductive health care … and laws don’t count for much if they’re not enforced. Rights have to exist in practice — not just on paper …Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will,” she explained. “And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.” Now when Hillary says that “religious beliefs and structural biases have to change,” that is Orwellian double-speak saying that Biblical Christianity must be fundamentally altered to make way for her unrestricted murder of the unborn.
But what about that much vaunted tolerance? Why doesn’t she say that she will tolerate those who disagree with her on the issue of murdering babies? Why does she say we must change our religion, we must edit our Bible, we must reject 2000 years of Christian doctrine and accept whatever she claims is just? Why is her version of tolerance a one-way street?
We must tolerate this lowest of the low lives on the political ladder and yet quite clearly she is not about to tolerate us in any way shape or form. In fact, a fundamental alteration of the Ten Commandments is what she demands. I don’t know about you, but I don’t understand this so called tolerance. It appears to me to be nothing but a veiled intolerance, and more specifically an intolerance of the Christian faith as clearly set out in the Bible.
This “tolerance,” while parading itself as tolerance of all belief systems, is actually a Trojan Horse. It would lead us to accept a disastrous bargain; agree to trade away the essential doctrines of the Christian faith in exchange for what? For the agreement that they will leave us alone; not harass, mock and persecute us? Clinton is but one example of a multitude of anti-Christian bigotry wearing the thin veneer of a so-called tolerance. What we need to understand is that this is just one example of the war of worldviews.
I want to address Competing Belief Systems; what are often called Religions. I’ve chosen the phrase Belief Systems because there is only one True Religion; so I don’t want to dignify those other belief systems with a term that is reserved for that which the Creator has ordained as the One True Religion. What I want to develop is a Biblical worldview of the competing Belief Systems in our world.
There are many claimants to truth, to justice and to righteousness in the world today; whether it’s the baby murder Hillary, or the Jihadist proclaiming murdering non-jihadist is what their idol tells them to do. In our day more than ever we need to have Biblical worldview on this issue. Let’s look at what The One True God - Himself declares there is only One True God - Deuteronomy 6:4-6 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart.” He alone is the One that must be worshipped as God. Jeremiah 10:10 states, “But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.”
