Each year, 50,.000 third world people hit the jackpot with the Visa Lottery for a free pass and all expenses paid to become citizens of the United States. Later, they can ‘chain migrate’ their relatives into America. It’s an unending ‘jackpot’ extravaganza costing U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars as well as overloading our population.
Today, join www.NumbersUSA.org to put a stop to it by sending in your pre-written faxes to encourage your Congress critters to vote the Visa Lottery out of existence.
“On Wednesday, February 16, the House of Representatives will vote on H.R. 1, the continuing resolution to continue funding the federal government,” said Roy Beck, director of NumbersUSA.org. “Unless a continuing resolution (or a budget bill) is passed by the Congress and signed by President Obama by last day of March, the government will shut down on April 1st.
Unlike in previous Congresses, the leaders of the new Congress are allowing Representatives to offer as many amendments as they would like. Two good immigration-related amendments have been proposed, as well as two bad ones. These amendments are:
No. 225 by Rep. Goodlatte of Virginia to ban the State Department from using funds to carry out the Visa Lottery. This amendment would essentially kill the Visa Lottery for one year. Ask for a “Yes” vote.
No. 199 by Rep. Poe of Texas to ban the Justice Department from using funds to sue Arizona over immigration laws. This amendment would force the Obama Administration to withdraw its immigration-related lawsuits against Arizona. Ask for a “Yes” vote.
No. 277 by Rep. Price of North Carolina to ban funding for REAL ID. This would slow down the move nationwide for secure drivers licenses that are kept out of the hands of illegal aliens and potential terrorists. Demand a “No” vote.
No. 188 by Rep. Polis of Colorado to cap the number of beds for illegal aliens in detention. This would limit the number of arrests, detentions, and deportations of illegal aliens. Demand a “No” vote.
“Obviously, we need as many people as possible to call their U.S. Representative and urge them to support Nos. 225 and 199 and oppose Nos. 277 and 188. Of the four, the most important amendment is Rep. Goodlatte's amendment to defund the Visa Lottery.”

“Please call your U.S. Representative and urge him/her, first and foremost, to support the Goodlatte amendment, No. 225, to the continuing resolution. Also, please ask your Representative to support the Poe amendment, No. 199, and oppose the the Price amendment (No. 277) and the Polis amendment (No. 188).”
