IMMIGRATION’S ONSLAUGHT: UTTER INCOMPETENCE OF OUR LEADERS

“Cautious, careful people, always casting about to preserve their reputation and social standing, never can bring about a reform. Those who are really in earnest must be willing to be anything or nothing in the world's estimation, and publicly and privately, in season and out, avow their sympathy with despised and persecuted ideas and their advocates, and bear the consequences.” --Susan B. Anthony, women’s suffrage
As you read through this immigration information, you may discover a new level of education, awareness and intellectual sobriety. We as a species and as a civilization stand at the edge of the abyss of adding 75 million immigrants in the next 24 years. We’re already 12 million into it since 2008.
Astoundingly enough, our world and national leaders look into it with intrepid stupidity. Our church leaders cannot bring themselves out of their religious stupors long enough to face facts. You may notice the Catholic Church encourages unlimited immigration into the United States. It welcomes any immigrant that professes his or her Catholic religion. It fills the church’s pews and offering plates. Regular citizens stand in denial or awake completely clueless each day.
As long as we cannot experience what we see on television around the world, it’s easy to live in denial or refutation of our accelerating dilemma.
For example, everyone ‘watched’ what happened to New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, but 97 percent of Americans did not experience it or its current ongoing aftermath years later. The horror of 9/11 affected 3,000 people and several thousand loved ones—with death. The clean-up crews agonized through it, but for the most part, the country didn’t lose much sleep over the World Trade Towers collapsing.
Let’s revisit Eleanor Roosevelt’s wise words: “We must prevent human tragedy rather than run around trying to save ourselves after an event has already occurred. Unfortunately, history clearly shows that we arrive at catastrophe by failing to meet the situation, by failing to act when we should have acted. The opportunity passes us by and the next disaster is always more difficult and compounded than the last one.”
Do you see any national leader addressing our massive immigration overload? Which U.S. governors address it? Have any leaders offered solutions? The harsh answer: no!
You watch church organizations like “Save the Children” show horrific video projections of millions of starving children in Africa and other parts of the world. They invite you to send money to save starving children. But, they won’t provide birth control. That means the more children they save beget millions more that will starve at a later date. You see the pope pray for food and assistance for starving masses, but he won’t advocate for birth control. You see our president advocating for more oil drilling, but not for conservation.
Everything you’ve read in this series occurs in greater degrees daily as the world population grows by 80 million annually. It’s not getting better; it’s becoming much worse.
So why do our leaders fail us?
They fail because we fail to elect visionary leaders. Barack Obama, while still a U.S. senator, ignorantly voted to double legal immigration to over 2.5 million annually as well as give amnesty to 20 million illegal aliens. Such actions fail to take into account that an amnesty would put even more than 15 million unemployed Americans into longer lines to gain work. Such actions would flood the country even faster than it is already being overwhelmed.
He’s not alone. U.S. Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) would open our borders to unlimited immigration as well as Senators Boxer and Feinstein from California. Chicago’s Luis Gutierrez represents illegal aliens exclusively in direct violation of our laws. He’s a congressional immigration-terrorist within our midst. It’s as if these people do not understand that California already hosts four million illegal aliens and $25 billion in debt because of that mob from Mexico.
If you look at the GOP candidates, Rick Perry celebrates open borders and gave illegals in-state tuition. He’s an open borders advocate when his state is financially broke. A mind numbing 81 percent of new jobs in Texas saw illegal and legal immigrants grabbing work over Texas citizens.
Nothing in Congress makes sense, but most Americans sit, wait, watch and do nothing. I am forever astounded that we don’t have 10 million members at www.NumbersUSA.org to stop all immigration. Until Americans get off their dead and rather wide butts, the flood continues.
Unfortunately, we respond to emotions rather than conditions. We await this “Human Katrina” rather than work to circumvent it.

Our leaders and we fail because our culture expects unlimited and unending access to expansion, growth and resources—The American Dream. Ruthless capitalism pleases many in the short term, but decimates our planet home in the long term—as I’ve said the ultimate Faustian bargain, which leads ultimately to Hobson’s Choice.
Our leaders and we fail because not enough people understand what I hope you understand by reading this series. In the meantime, thousands of legal and illegal immigrants flood into our country every month on their way to adding 75 million by 2035.
It’s not going to be pretty if we keep sitting, watching and waiting while our president and Congress do nothing to stop it.
