21st, Jerome Corsi was a guest on my program. At that time he told me
he was leaving for Israel to write a book titled “WHY ISRAEL CAN’T
WAIT.” For the hour long program we discussed how Israel became
a state in 1948 – how God has brought His people back to their
land after 2,534 years of being scattered to all corners of the earth,
and how Iran is planning an attack on Israel. I personally believe there
will be war in the Middle East, and that war is described in the Bible
(Ezekiel 37, 38 & 39). I regularly receive emails and letters from
folks who disagree with me, but after this program I was flooded with
comments concerning Israel, the Jews and Jerome Corsi.
“I suggest you stop making comments regarding Israel until
you get your facts straight.” “I don’t agree with
your comments. Please study the history of Zionism.” “Israel
is not who you think they are.” “You have your facts bass
ackwards. The Zionists are the most evil people in the Universe. Do
your homework Derry and get your act together.” “It sounds
like you are anxious to see WWIII. Stop and think what you are saying
before all humanity is wiped out.” These are some of the
nicer comments – others were profane.
I believe that Bible prophesy is being fulfilled and we are watching
it almost daily on our television sets. God says, “He will make
Jerusalem a cup of trembling.” He also says, He will cause Jerusalem
to be a “burdensome stone.” Zechariah 12: 1-3 explains how
Israel would be hated by all nations as the end of this age draws near
and that all nations would be drawn into the dispute between Israel
and its Muslim neighbors. Up until recently Israel and the United States
were allies. However, President Obama is trying to force Israel to agree
to a Palestinian state that will have as its borders the pre-June 1967
borders that were taken by the Jews during the six day war.
Israel’s
enemies hold one thing as their purpose and that’s to obliterate
the state of Israel. Both Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Ayatollah desire
to destroy Israel and then turn on the United States. They refer to
us as the “Great Satan” and Israel as the “cancer
that must be eliminated.” Iran’s reason for its rush to
get nuclear missiles is to destroy Israel and start a global war. They
believe that Mahdi (Islamic Messiah) will rally and lead the Islamic
warriors to defeat all infidel armies and establish Islam worldwide.
The Muslim fundamentalists say, “We will defeat Western civilization
because you love life, but we love death.” They believe to
please Allah they must die fighting to establish Islam worldwide.
President Obama has warned Israel not to attack Iranian nuclear facilities
under any circumstances. He has threatened to use all means to prevent
them from protecting themselves against a nuclear attack. If the
United States has forsaken Israel, this could mean that God will withdraw
His protective hand from us. God swore to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob’s
descendants, “I will bless those who bless you and curse those
who curse you.” (Genesis 12: 1-3) God also promised David (Psalm
89: 3-4), “I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn
to David My servant, your Seed I will establish forever and build up
your throne to all generations.”
In order to get my facts right and to determine who the people of Israel
really are, I have done considerable research. God said, “He would
assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of
Judah from the four corners of the earth.” (Isaiah 11:12)
Before the establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948, it’s
population was about 800,000. In the three years following statehood
the population doubled. In the 1950’s about 170,000 immigrants
came to Israel from North Africa and Romania. Ten years later another
180,000 arrived from North Africa. In the 1990’s with the release
of Jewish people from the former Soviet Union, 900,000 Russian Jews
entered the nation. Many of us watched the national news in the 1980’s
and 1990’s as the airlift brought in 60,000 Jews from Ethiopia.
As of today, slightly under three million Jews from about 130 countries
have moved to Israel. These countries include Germany, Eastern Europe,
Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Italy, India: “the four corners of the earth.”
There are also almost one million Arab Israeli citizens.
Of this population 44% of Israeli Jews are secular – 25% are traditional but not religious – 14% are traditional and religious – 10% are Orthodox – 7% are ultra-Orthodox. The Messianic Jews come from all over the world and are joined by faith and not by language or place of origin. Israel is made up of a rather young population. Twenty eight percent are 14 years of age and younger, and less than 10% are over age 65; leaving about 62% between the age of 15 and 64. Approximately 2% of the population are Christians, 16% Muslim, 76.4% Jewish, and the rest are considered Unspecified.

The Jewish people have survived when other nations attempted to destroy them in both ancient and modern times. Today the Jews are back in their homeland speaking the same Hebrew language that was spoken in the streets of Jerusalem when King David ruled the land. The Apostle Paul wrote (Romans 11: 1-2): “I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew.”
