DO WE REALLY SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING?

When we look at what is going on in America today we have to ask the question, "Is anyone really paying attention?" We basically have a two party system that is scattered with 15 or so sub-parties. The only Parties of real influence are the Democrats and the Republicans. The question there is, is there really that much difference between the two? On the surface, they are miles apart but a closer examination shows that there really is not that much difference.
I review the bills that are introduced into Congress weekly. It takes anywhere from an hour to sometimes two and a half hours to review these bills. When I examine these laws that are introduced to Congress you will find that any law that involves raising taxes and implementing more and more regulations on businesses and people in general and bills that nibble away at our Constitutional rights you will find that they come from the Democrat Party 100% of the time. When we see bills that attempt to lower taxes, re-establish Constitution al rights, remove regulations they come from the Republican Party virtually 100% of the time.
All the bills that I have seen that demand that America's access to its natural resources be restricted always come from the Democrats. They have bills in Congress right now that would permanently ban drilling for oil on the entire East Coast, the Gulf, Anwar and the entire West Coast. All have been introduced by the Democrats. The Republicans have introduced bills that would open these areas for drilling. We are paying excessively for oil when we have the most known reserves in the world simply because we are importing over 70% of our oil from nations that hate us. Saudi Arabia has gas for around $1.00 a gallon. Why are we paying up to $4.00 a gallon? Why are we putting that kind of wealth in their hands instead of in the hands of Americans? It is only because the Democrats won't allow us access to our own national resources.
When we look at the recent attack on our 2nd Amendment rights we see pretty much the same thing. Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein has a bill that will ban any gun with a clip. The State of New York implemented bills that severely restrict a person's ability to protect themselves. Democrat Senator Chuck Shumer added an amendment to a bill that could make many gun owners felons and sets them up to have their guns confiscated just because they went on a business trip! Here is an excerpt from an article concerning Shumer's amendment:
Shumer had kept the bogus “background check” bill under wraps, only putting forth a shell bill with no specifics. Well, he applied the text through an amendment at the last minute, before it passed. John Richardson has the details, including the text. I’ve only skimmed the details, but here’s the key problems:
If you left town for more than 7 days, and left your gay partner, or unrelated roommate at home with the guns, you’d be committing a felony. This should be called the “denying gun rights to gays act.” Remember that the federal government does not recognize gay marriage, even if you’re state does, thanks to DOMA. 5 years in prison.
Actually, even married couples are questionably legal, because the exemption between family only applies to gifts, not to temporary transfers. The 7 day implication is if you leave your spouse at home for more than 7 days, it’s an unlawful transfer, and you’re a 5 year felon. I suppose you could gift them to your spouse, or related co-habitant, and then have them gift them back when you arrive back home. Maybe the Attorney General will decide to create a form for that.
It would be illegal to lend a gun to a friend to take shooting. That would be a transfer. 5 years in federal prison.
Steals the livelihood of gun dealers by setting a fixed fee to conduct transfers. The fee is fixed by the Attorney General. What’s to prevent him from setting it at $1000?
In the State of Colorado where the Democrats control both Houses they attempted to put through seven different gun control bills. One that passed has made 80% of the shotguns owned in Colorado illegal. There were so many people at the Senate hearings protesting these bills that you could hardly get into the State Capitol building and the Democrats still passed 5 of the 7 bills. All of the bills will put a massive restriction on our 2nd Amendment rights but the Democrats don't care. All of these bills in Colorado passed on a party line vote. So much for having our elected officials represent the people.
However, to me that is just a facade. Our so-called representatives in Washington play a slightly different game. The House Republicans seem to be more in line with the will of the people; the Senate however, is a different story. We just had three of the most incompetent people approved for positions they are not qualified for. Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense, John Brennan for CIA director and Jack Lew for Secretary of the Treasury. Chuck Hagel does not have America's best interests in mind and to be the Secretary of Defense makes his policies even more dangerous. He wants to eliminate all of America's nuclear weapons stupidly believing that if we do this all other nations will follow. Only an idiot would believe that. John McCain, Congress' oldest RINO has stated that he "worries about his fellow Republican's "worldview." Comments on Hagel's apparent hatred of Israel is of a concern as well. In an article concerning Hagel's nomination states: " several factors are behind the opposition to Hagel, including the anger he caused among many Republicans by criticizing the George W. Bush administration's Iraq policies and by endorsing some Democrats for office.
At least in public, the opposition to his nomination has focused on remarks he's made on Israel and Iran, particularly one 2006 interview in which he said the "Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people" in Congress. Critics have objected to his referring to the lobbying as "Jewish" rather than "pro-Israel." He was confirmed by a vote of 58-41.
John Brennan is another piece of art. How he got past the Senate is another mystery. Here is his comments on jihad: “They are not jihadists, for jihad is a holy struggle, an effort to purify for a legitimate purpose, and there is nothing — absolutely nothing — holy or pure or legitimate or Islamic about murdering innocent men, women and children,” Brennan said. “We are not waging a war against terrorism because terrorism is but a tactic that will never be defeated, any more than a tactics of war will. Rather, such thinking is a recipe for endless conflict. ... We are at war with Al Qaeda and its extremist allies, and any comment to the contrary is just inaccurate. We will destroy that organization.”
This man must think that we are all as stupid as he is. It has also been stated that he converted to islam while serving in the Middle East. How can you have a islamist, which calls for the overthrow of the American government and the establishing of shariah law be in charge of counter-terrorism against islam? He was confirmed by a vote of 63-34. It doesn't surprise me that the Democrats voted for him, but how could any Republican vote for him?
If Jack Lew was a Republican, he never would have gotten the nomination. He seems to have a knack of profiting even when the company is failing mostly at the tax payers expense. Here is a quote from an article concerning his nomination: But that isn't to say Lew's ride through the committee was easy. He faced tough questions from Republicans about his leadership of a Citigroup bank unit, which made bets against the housing market ahead of that sector's collapse, which drove the 2008 financial crisis, as well as an investment program for employees that he participated in and was based in the Cayman Islands. He has also come under scrutiny for receiving a $900,000 onus while taxpayers were bailing out the bank, and a more recently reported bonus upon leaving New York University where he was executive vice president.
Lew has said he did not make investment decisions at Citigroup and that he paid all taxes on the investment, which he sold when leaving the company for a loss. But Sen. Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican and one of Lew's dissenters, said "Mr. Lew is very good at getting paid by taxpayer supported institutions".
Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., the ranking member on the Senate Budget Committee, declared today that Jack Lew must “never” become secretary of the Treasury. “To confirm Mr. Lew would be to acquiesce in a policy of dishonesty to the American people,” Sessions said. ”For me, no mea culpa, no excuse, can erase the errors of Mr. Lew.”… At issue, Sessions said, is what he called Lew’s “outrageous and false” testimony before the Senate Budget committee nearly two years ago. Sessions said the testimony should disqualify Lew from becoming Treasury secretary.
Looking at bills such as the NDAA make you question the patriotism of most members of Congress. In the Senate 98 voted to pass the 2013 NDAA which has the indefinite detention with no charges, no access to counsel for anyone who is a threat to 'nation al security'. The DOJ's top four threats to national security are people who demand that the government operate according to the Constitution, veterans, 2nd Amendment supporters, and pro-lifers. This covers the majority of Americans. 98% of the Senate voted for this! Rand Paul said he voted for it because the indefinite detention was part of 2012's bill not 2013's. Really? How about demanding that the blatant violation of our Constitutional rights be removed before voting on the bill. That excuse doesn't hold water with me nor anyone else who believes in the rule of law and our Constitution.
It seems when the situation gets to the point where the Republicans really need a spine, they lose theirs and cave to the demands of the left. Obama has done so many things that violate our Constitution yet we hear nothing from the Republicans. Obama has been ruling via executive order the last two years when Congress won't pass what he wants passed but Congress is silent. If a Republican president has done the things Obama has done he would be in impeachment proceeding by the Democrats already. The Republicans do nothing.
RINO's John McCain and Lindsay Graham both criticized Rand Paul for his filibuster. It is time that BOTH of them be replaced. I am not Rand Paul's biggest fan by any means but I was glad to see somebody stand for the Constitution, something that neither McCain nor Graham have done in years. McCain nor Graham are examples of what is wrong with the Republican Party. They act like they are for the people but seem to vote against the people most of the time.

We will only do something about the Republican Party when we start putting men and women into office that are willing to stand for the Constitution and refuse to do anything that does not agree with Constitution. If we continue to allow the McCains and Grahams be elected we will lose America in the next 8 years to the liberals that want to turn America into a socialist nation. Remember that we have over 70 members of Congress that belong to the Democrat Socialists of America. Most are in the House, only one is in the Senate. We cannot continue as a free nation by electing socialists to Congress.
We must wake up and turn America back into a nation of working people instead of people who demand government handouts. I want a hand up not a handout. Let me work for what I earn and let me keep what I earn. We must wake up to what is happening in America. If we do not, the American experiment is over.
