Many nations have attempted to allow different cultures be brought into their societies only to find that what ends up happening is there are two or more nations with in a nation and that can never work. One of the great things about America is that we are a melting pot of different cultures but that is the key. Out of all the cultures that make up America they predominate culture is America. There is nothing wrong with bringing culinary choices from your homeland but where the problem lies is there are parts of other nations culture that is not compatible in America.
In America we have certain laws and definitively defined rights that many other nations do not enjoy. This is one of the biggest attractions for people in other countries, the freedoms that Americans enjoy. This is also one of the problems. For some there are more freedoms than the culture they left behind allowed. Some do not want to assimilate into our culture. They come here and want to live just like they did in their home country. If that is the case, I have to ask why did you come here?
Teddy Roosevelt once said concerning immigrants that they were welcome here as long as they assimilated into our society. He didn't like references to German-Americans, African- Americans or any other hyphenated name. He believed that if you immigrated here it was because you wanted to become and American. He believed that you should call yourself American and assimilate into our society and learn our language. I have know many immigrants in my life and the ones that I know well have all done what Teddy Roosevelt had laid out for an immigrant. My step-father immigrated here from Greece in 1912. He was so proud to live in America and he refused to speak his native tongue until he could hold an intelligent conversation in English. He told me that the proudest day of his life was the day he became a naturalized US citizen. Talking with his you would never know he was an immigrant. He knew the history of America better than a person born here. And when he talked you would think that he grew up in the South somewhere as he had a slight southern accent but you would never guess he was born and raised until the age of 16 in Greece.
This is something that you don't see a lot of anymore. I knew an immigrant that had lived in America for over 30 years and you could hardly understand him when he talked because he spoke his native tongue most of the time. There are those that bring their cultures with them even when that culture does not agree with the laws of this nation. We have seen an explosion of this in the last 30 years specifically with immigrants from the Middle East primarily muslims. We do not experience these problems from the Jewish community. We have a minimum age for marriage but they'll marry off a nine year old girl and not think twice about it. They claim that it is allowed in their religion and because we have freedom of religion we have to allow them to practice their religion. Well, not really. There is no provision for allowing any religion to violate our laws. When looking at what they allow in their culture and what our Constitution allows, something must give and it should be the migrating culture but we have seen bits and pieces of what they call shariah law allowed in America. This is just what they want. We allow a little and then they force all of it on us. We see this happening in the UK and it is destroying England.
England has allowed shariah courts their judicial system. They now have two different 'constitutions' in England. One for the British people and one for the muslims. There are parts of London where the cops won't venture even during the day. These sections are the muslim sections and they live by shariah law and pay no attention to the real laws of England. Germany has experienced the same problems and just recently there has been massive protests concerning the islamization of Germany. The natives have had enough and don't want any more. There was an article written in 2010 where German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated flat out that multiculturalism in Germany has failed completely. Here is an excerpt from that article: Germany's attempt to create a multi-cultural society has failed completely, Chancellor Angela Merkel said at the weekend, calling on the country's immigrants to learn German and adopt Christian values.
Merkel weighed in for the first time in a blistering debate sparked by a central bank board member saying the country was being made "more stupid" by poorly educated and unproductive Muslim migrants.
"Multikulti", the concept that "we are now living side by side and are happy about it," does not work, Merkel told a meeting of younger members of her conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party at Potsdam near Berlin.
"This approach has failed, totally," she said, adding that immigrants should integrate and adopt Germany's culture and values.
"We feel tied to Christian values. Those who don't accept them don't have a place here," said the chancellor.
"Subsidising immigrants" isn't sufficient, Germany has the right to "make demands" on them, she added, such as mastering the language of Goethe and abandoning practices such as forced marriages.[1]
England is in worse shape by allowing the courts there is polygamy, female genital mutilation all of which is illegal in England but is common in the muslim communities. There have been immigrants from Pakistan that have been abducting young white girls as young as 9 and using them as sex slaves but because England has also become ultra politically correct, they usually don't do anything about it. Here is part of an article that will leave you scratching your head wondering just what were the British authorities thinking, if anything: Five girls were initially identified as victims of child sexual exploitation, but during the course of the police investigation involving the nine offenders – who were chiefly British Pakistani men with ordinary jobs, often married and well-respected within their community – the police identified a further 42 victims.
Greater Manchester police first heard about the grooming when one of the teenage girls made a complaint four years ago. Detectives took her case seriously and offered her support. But controversially, the Crown Prosecution Service took the decision in 2009 not to charge two of the men convicted on Tuesday, a 59-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, and Kabeer Hassan, despite one of the victims giving a lengthy videotaped interview to police. DNA evidence was collected from the girl's clothing that was crucial to the case.
The decision not to prosecute was hastily overturned in summer 2011 when the north-west's new chief crown prosecutor, Nazir Afzal, took up his post.
Afzal said the original prosecuting decision was based on the credibility of the victim, and the original lawyer felt there was "insufficient credibility" to secure a conviction.
"I formed the opinion she was entirely credible and the two suspects should be charged," he said. It is very rare for a chief prosecutor to overturn a decision in this way – it happens only once or twice a year.
The matter has voluntarily been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, which is supervising a Greater Manchester police inquiry. It will report at a later date.[2]
A British journalist wrote an article about these kids being groomed for sex slaves and made the mistake of mentioning that the groomers were Pakistani. They pulled the article and made her take sensitivity training for embarrassing the Pakistani's. Seriously? That is political correctness on steroids.
I America we are seeing courts allows some shariah law. In New York a muslim woman was raped by her husband but when they got to court the man told the judge that because she was muslim she could not refuse him under any circumstance. The judge dismissed the case! That decision was over turned but you have to ask where was the judges head at? He is sworn to uphold the laws of the land and rape is against the law in America. We've had several states pass laws that state that no foreign law can be used the courts of that state, but many have been overturned because that law supposedly discriminates against muslims.
There is a portion of Deerborn, MI that is heavily muslim. Women, whether muslim or American, must dress according to shariah laws or they will stone you. You can't walk your dog in that neighborhood or they will stone you. It is against the law to ring church bells in Deerborn because it is offensive to muslims yet there are loud speakers throughout the town that announce the call to prayer 5 times a day. This is in America people! American's can't exercise their constitutional rights in America because it offends muslims! I don't really care what offends them. If there is so much in America that offends them, why are they here?

This is where we, as Americans, must draw the line. We should not have to give up any of our rights just because an immigrant is offended. I believe that in Texas some muslims bought property next to a pig farm and have petitioned to have the pig farm shut down because pigs are offensive to muslims. In Hartford, CN the muslim leaders met with the city council and told them that there was to be no proselytizing within four blocks of a mosque, but they would proselytize anywhere they wanted. We have seen honor killings of wives and daughters begin to explode in recent years. We cannot allow this to continue. They must assimilate, learn our language and culture and obey our laws or they should leave.
When you read the koran you will see that the only reason they migrate to other nations is to eventually take that nation over. We see it happening in the UK, Spain, France and Germany. Are we going to continue to allow them to come here and take our freedoms away because they find it offensive? German Chancellor Angela Merkel said it the way it is, multiculturalism is a total failure. When we will realize that and stop this madness?
