THE U.S. CONGRESS - OUR LAST LINE OF DEFENSE

While America has been preoccupied with tales of Vietnam swift boats and National Guard attendance records, the real election story has remained somewhat elusive. Which is that our headlong plunge into socialism and world government will continue accelerating at an unsustainable rate regardless of who wins the presidency.

This meaningless debate about insignificant events has diverted our attention from another chilling reality. Under either Republican or Democratic rule, the budget and deficit will continue to expand exponentially, the courts will have further contempt for the law, the federal attack on our freedoms will intensify, millions more will die in the abortion holocaust, and American imperialism will expand into every corner of the planet.

The powers that be will do whatever it takes to hide the fact that our entire political process has been completely compromised, and that two nearly identical candidates are running for president - at the exclusion of all others. They have lured us into arguing over trivial issues in an elaborate scheme designed to create the illusion that an actual election will be taking place in November.

As bad as things may look, there is still the tiniest shred of hope for our Republic. A hope that lies (aside from national repentance before the Lord!) within the U.S. Congress - our last line of defense as the conquest of America enters into the final phase.

The very first sentence of the Constitution says:

"All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives." (Article I, Section 1)

The solution to the chaos we see swirling around us is contained within those few brilliant words. If we can begin to grasp the true meaning of, "All legislative powers," we will realize that right now, at this very moment, we possess all the power we need to fix the unbelievable mess we have made of things - regardless of what any previous Congress, president or judge may have done.

Because the good news is that the U.S. President has absolutely no power to write laws, no power to start wars, and no power to spend money. Further, the courts have no power to terrorize us and the bureaucrats have no power to rule over us. NONE!

Congress is vested with all legislative powers. There is not even a hint of gray area in the ownership of those powers. Congress has the exclusive power to make laws, as well as repeal laws - and then only within the clearly defined limitations enumerated in the Constitution.

The myriad of federal agencies that have been waging war against the American people possess NO POWER - unless those we have entrusted to lead us in Congress continue letting them take it. Yes, this illegal transfer of power has been going on for many decades, but now�

It is time to take that power back!

The solution, while highly unlikely any time soon, is obvious. First, we need to elect men and women to Congress who will defend the Constitution. Then we need to get rid of every one of them who won't. Which means we are going to have to kick just about every Congressman out of office!

Every member of Congress should say NO to:

Judges who legislate from the bench.
The legalized child-killing industry.
Presidents who drag us into undeclared wars.
500,000 American soldiers defending other people's countries!
$2.4 trillion budgets and $5oo billion deficits.
The banishment of God from the public square.
The sieve we call a border.
Federal intervention in education, health care and "the arts."
The IRS, HHS, BATF, HUD, EPA and USDA.
NAFTA, GATT, WTO, MFN, FTAA, USAID, and the UN.
The Social Security Ponzi scheme.
Our counterfeit currency.

We (and they) know what every Congressman is supposed to do. Our challenge is to elect the ones who will start doing it!

Take a few minutes to review the serious limitations our Constitution has placed on the powers of the federal government. You can read the online users manual here. You need to understand the Constitution for yourself before you will ever be able to appreciate just how thoroughly your Congressman has been abusing it!

Short of a second-party election miracle, there is little hope the next president will defend (or even look at) the Constitution. That means it is up to each one of us to bring this nation back to the values that made America great - the respect for life, liberty and limited government.

Congress is our last line of defense against those who seek to enslave us. Is there even a chance we will elect enough genuine statesmen to ever make a difference? Certainly, enormous obstacles have been laid in front of us and the chance of our success does not look promising.

But since the failure of the current system is virtually guaranteed, we need to vote our conscience - and let God worry about the rest.
