After spending three years and nearly half a trillion dollars beating the living tar out of a defenseless desert nation, we are running out of adjectives to describe the magnitude of the colossal disaster that is unfolding before us. To make matters worse, it would appear that none of the criminals who rule this American gulag have even the foggiest idea what to do about the bloody mess we have made of things.

Many aspects of the Iraqi invasion remain somewhat of a mystery. We still do not know, for example, just exactly what it was that motivated us to do something so completely insane. While we may never have an answer to that question, there are a few things that have become quite clear:

1. George Bush, Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld, and many top CIA officials lied to us before the invasion.
2. We have poisoned what little remains of Iraq with about a thousand tons of depleted uranium.
3. Along with 2,300 dead Americans, there are at least 50,000 Iraqi civilians buried somewhere in the sand.
4. The amount we have spent killing each Iraqi, in round numbers, is about $10 million a head.
5. George Bush is exhibiting an increasingly odd (and scary) behavior.

An endless supply of counterfeit money, with another $80 billion borrowed just last week, has given us the ability to continue killing Iraqis in large numbers while we lay waste to their country. This makes the previous Iraqi regime look like amateurs compared to the crazy bunch of cutthroats who are running the occupation.

No amount of propaganda or �Support Our Troops� sloganeering will change the fact that we waged a war of aggression against a country that posed no threat to us. We have become the epitome of everything we are supposedly fighting against � a warmongering, freedom-hating, imperialist nation that rules through the use of force.

Time has not enhanced the aroma of the lies that dragged us into the Iraqi quagmire. With the realization that the invasion of Iraq had nothing to do with the �war on terror,� and with the discovery that all the pre-invasion evidence we heard was completely fabricated, the other, even bigger lies have finally begun to unravel.

If you want to really ruin your day, go to Google and type in �WTC 7�. You will discover that the implosion of World Trade Center Building 7 did not happen as a result of the attacks on Towers 1&2, which rips the official 9/11 cover story to shreds.

WTC 7 was a 47-story steel frame building that was situated several hundred feet away from Towers 1&2. Inexplicably, even though Tower 7 received only minor debris damage from the collapse of Tower 2, it imploded on itself after every single load-bearing beam on the ground floor failed at precisely the same instant � which was a physical impossibility without the involvement of other potent, and as of yet, unknown forces.

The implosion of World Trade Center 7 has left some compelling evidence that 9/11 was an inside job.

Out of the lies of 9/11 flowed the lies that led us to the invasion of Iraq. Iraq was intended to be a sideshow - a diversion to take our focus away from the fact that our country is being stolen right out from under us. Obviously, things have gotten completely out of hand. Or maybe this was the plan all along. Who knows. Nothing should surprise us any more.

Flag waving and nonsensical sound bites have replaced any ability to dialog with those who rule us. They scoff at our laws with absolute brazenness as they plan the next invasion. (Memo to Iran: You�d better get yourselves some nukes!) They plot their purchase of the next election as they pile another $900 billion of debt on top of the $47 trillion we already owe.

What is the response of the American people to all this madness? The oblivious masses continue trusting in an illusion of freedom while a social and economic catastrophe looms just below the facade.

Without cause or provocation, we attacked and nearly destroyed a country that never did anything to harm us. The innocent blood we have shed is not something we can just walk away from. There will be an accounting.

Instead of asking God to bless America, we should be on our knees begging Him to have mercy on America.
