As Bush continues to make political speeches to promote the illusion of more new jobs being created and the Democratic leadership deliberately misleads the middle class with absurd chants like "more tax cuts for the rich," the truth is much harsher, but the truth none the less. Paul Craig Roberts quite succinctly laid it out in a recent column:
"Last Friday's payroll jobs report was a continuation of Bush's dismal record. Only 59,000 net new private sector jobs were created during September. That is about 90,000 less than would be needed to stay even with population growth. Like all jobs that the US economy has created in the 21st century, the September jobs are in domestic services. Waitresses and bar tenders accounted for a quarter of the new jobs. The remainder were in health care and social assistance, wholesale trade and transportation, financial activities, and accounting and bookkeeping services. US manufacturing lost another 19,000 jobs. Since Bush took office, the US has lost 3 million manufacturing jobs."
The sucking sound under the Clinton Administration was just as severe. A nation that doesn't produce what it needs to sustain itself will die, simple as that. "Old" presidents and members of Congress warned against "free" trade, but their words of wisdom coninue to be ignored as America further slides down the razor's edge of dependency on other countries to provide even our most basic needs. The American people are mostly to blame. Yes, these poltroons in Congress have sold us out, but it's the consumer that continues to support the selling out of American jobs. They won't take the time to buy Made in America. You can buy Made in America. If you can't find what you want in a store, tell the manager you will NOT buy foreign made products. I am fully aware this hurts the economy, but this isn't some game for a short term buck. We're talking about the total annihilation of what made this country great and our right to preserve and protect our job bases.
I have written about the total destruction of our most important job bases, agriculture, manufacturing and industrial, over and over and over since Congress passed these unconstitutional treaties: NAFTA, GATT and CAFTA. Those solid industry jobs have been replaced with service oriented jobs, pushing paper for foreign governments, some our mortal enemies (while one corrupt Congress after another unconstitutionally steals from the people's treasury to give them "foreign aid") and the ever growing medical industry. Marilyn Barnewall laid in out in one of her fine columns on the drug industry choking cancer victims: "The business of medicine is big. Our diseases and the treatment of them have become a major part of the American economy. Cancer, for example, is a $1 trillion "business."
The skyrocketing and never ending escalation of simple medical treatment will continue. Why does medical treatment cost so much? Labor, same as any other industry and government intrusion. Why can't small to medium businesses expand and hire? Labor and government intrusion whether it be at the county, state or federal level. Why is the middle class on the brink of extinction and getting their first taste of living at close to poverty level? Because of stagnant wages (love those illegal aliens who smuggle themselves across our borders), lack of jobs that actually produce what America needs and heavier and heavier taxation at all levels. By the time their paychecks have been raided in withholding taxes, they're reduced to charging on credit cards, raiding what's left of their savings or hocking the equity in their homes.
How can we create more jobs and lower costs in areas like health care? Simple. Demand Made in America or don't buy. Second, get rid of this hoax called withholding - the "temporary" war tax most Americans know little to nothing about while the fruits of their labor are stolen from them every single paycheck. Let's look at the facts:
1. No one is required to get a social security number to live or work in the U.S. You don't have to participate in the social security swindle if you don't want to and that is a legal fact that one corrupt CONgress after another (BOTH parties) don't want you to know. However, you will still be forced with a gun to your head to pay social security TAXES to keep this Ponzi scheme alive. This is THE most classic example of indentured servitude there is under the Thirteenth Amendment. (Yes, I am fully aware of the original Thirteenth Amendment being buried and all the hype over it. This Ponzi social security scheme requires you to work and pay for someone else's retirement even if you never participate in this government "entitlement" program. Hold the nasty e-mail. No one is trying to take away your social security. SS benefits for natural born or naturalized citizens (NO payments to illegals) must be funded, no question. However, to force any American to pay the fruits of their labor to support another person's retirement flies in the face of everything this country was founded upon. It is indentured servitude.
2. Social security is a tax that goes into the general fund of the U.S. Treasury and is NOT earmarked for any specific spending purpose which means that your SS taxes go to subsidize the Communist Chinese government and to fund political parties in foreign countries. All this silly talk about "lock boxes" is just more meaningless smoke and mirrors. This is why the charlatans who call themselves "leaders" of BOTH parties don't want you to know the truth about this God awful system. SS cannot be saved, but it can be funded out for those who need it and let it die a natural death. There will never be any "reform" of this taxing scheme, it's all carefully crafted lies to keep seniors in line; see history here.
3. Unless you've been under a rock or only get your news from the liars in "mainstream" and cable media who never even broach the legal facts about SS, there is a financial time bomb waiting to go off when that first wave of baby boomers begin to retire in 2008. Bernard Bernake, toady for the banking cartel who heads up the unconstitutional "Federal" Reserve banking consortium recently warned that the coming baby boomer retirement flood will "put a great strain on the economy." What Bernake didn't tell you is there is a financial tsunami coming that will bury what's left of this dying economy; see here. Politicians lie, but the numbers don't. Every administration for 60 years has been cooking the books with deceptive "accounting" practices, deliberately misleading the American people.
Ron Paul introduced a bill several years ago to abolish this taxing scheme, but of course, the scoundrels in that Congress refused to act on it. Without this massive theft of your labor, they wouldn't be able to continue whizzing away your hard earned labor to fund unconstitutional wars, unconstitutional corporate welfare and so on. Ending this taxing scheme would be a huge boost to the economy. Employers could expand their business and hire new workers, and industry like medical treatment would see their costs immediately drop like a brick.
"We must pay these taxes to fund our government, SS and Medicare!" Please, take the time to understand that your "income tax" dollars and SS taxes fund nothing but rich lifestyles and wars for the bankers of the world playing their murderous power games. I have laid this out as plainly as possible in my column here. In this presentation you will become familiar with a woman named Vivien Kellems who stopped withholding from her employees in 1948; I maintain a separate web site on this remarkable woman. Vivien got wise to this 'scheme' the federal rats were running. She taught her employees how to calculate their own social security taxes and pay them directly to the government. That's the way it should be done because forcing employers to act as unpaid tax collectors is just another in the long line of abuses by these tyrants in Washington. Due to the generosity of four Americans, I was able to travel to the National Archives outside Boston in February 2003 and retrieve her 1952 trial files. I also filed a Freedom of Information Act request (FOIA) and obtain Vivien's FBI files. We originally had them on my Vivien site, but due to the massive amount of traffic and the way the site is operating, I had to take them off and put them on my CD. Vivien's trial files are right on point in her arguments about this thievery; they are a fascinating read.
The cost of doing business is killing all but the richest anti-American corporations who have dumped on the American worker and taken our jobs off shore. The cost of medical care is becoming so far beyond the reach of anyone, is it any wonder companies are using every method possible to keep a new employee from becoming "full time" in order to not add yet another burden to the payroll? Immediately stopping this taxing scheme called withholding would increase an employer's bottom line by at least 30%.
Because CONgress doesn't want you to know the legal facts, they continue to obfuscate with tried and true BS. The federal courts continue to jail anyone who dares challenge the system. These cowardly, compromised federal judges aren't going to bite the hands that feed them and the cowards in the U.S. Senate who care nothing for the law, refuse to impeach them. Well, the chickens are coming home to roast as pointed out in Carolyn Lochhead's column linked above:
"Laurence Kotlikoff, Economics Chairman at Boston University, who has written abundantly on this subject, offers up a shocking response on how to close a $51 trillion dollar fiscal gap: "To give you idea how big the problem is, you'd have to have an immediate and permanent 78 percent hike in the federal income tax." "More than double the payroll tax, immediately and forever, from 15.3 percent of wages to nearly 32 percent; Raise income taxes by two thirds (roughly 78%), immediately and forever; Cut Social Security and Medicare benefits by 45 percent, immediately and forever;"
That's not the end of it: "...borrowing by Congress to fund their immoral and unconstitutional wars, UN dues, 18% of the IMFs budget, billions in corporate welfare, trillions in foreign "aid," all these social welfare programs and basic government functions continues to rack up debt at a rate of $1.69 BILLION dollars a day from an empty treasury." I wrote those words September 28, 2004. Now the daily rape is $2.27 BILLION dollars per day - borrowed from foreign governments and banks. What you have is a financial disaster coming that will drown every American whose last name isn't Rockefeller, Sensenbrenner, Kennedy, Feinstein, McCain, Bush, Clinton or Frist.
Right now these scoundrels (CONgress) are back in their districts telling more lies and promising the moon for a vote. The entire House is up for reelection. With the exception of House "leader" Dennis the Menace Hastert hiding out at his house mowing the grass, all these CON artists are in your district having debates, town hall meetings and glad handing at events. It's up to YOU to get to these events and expose the truth - and that includes all you seniors who have sold your soul and your children and grand children's future for "free prescription pills." There is nothing free about this monstrous rape of the American people's labor. And, save the nasty e-mail. I know it's not polite to beat up on "old people," but I am a senior myself (age 57); love my senior discount at Denny's!
Several times a week I get e-mail calling me an old, deceitful hag for using a press photo that's 25 years old, which isn't true as my current press photo was taken in September 2004 and I can prove it. Same old attacks from scared Americans who know how to do nothing more than parrot the lies of their favorite Democrat or Republican in CONgress without ever reading the law. Quit listening to the bilge spewed by AARP, the Senior Coalition and these other money making operations and help save your children and grand children from a life of forced slavery. SS must and can be funded out constitutionally. Jobs can be created, Americans will rightfully take home all their pay and we can reduce the overhead of all private employers including hospitals, medical groups and the industry as a whole by at least 30% which will benefit every American. But, this won't get done by everyone fighting over party power because, I guarantee you, not a single current incumbent or candidate running on those "two party" tickets is going to do what has to be done without a MASSIVE outcry from we the people.
That ticking time bomb is getting closer to your wallet, your savings, your retirement and your children's and grand babies future. Go ahead. Take a look at your son or daughter. Take a look at your grand baby. Do you want them to live life as nothing more than beasts of burden, oxen hooked up to the plow driven by a lying, deceitful government? Then, for Heaven's sake, get out there and make your voice heard. How important is that bingo game, trip to the mall, ball game, a day at NASCAR races or the Winnebago looking for rocks or artifacts out in the Arizona desert?
