GET YOUR GUN
By: Devvy April 9, 2004 NewsWithViews.com "We'll take one step at a time, and the first is necessarily - given the political realities - very modest. We'll have to start working again to strengthen the law, and then again to strengthen the next law and again and again. Our ultimate goal, total control of hand guns, is going to take time. The first problem is to slow down production and sales. Next is to get registration. The final problem is to make possession of all handguns and ammunition (with a few exceptions) totally illegal." Pete Shields, founder of Handgun Control, Inc., New Yorker Magazine, June 26, 1976, page 53. Spoken like an obedient little communist or "the new Communist Man." What is that, you ask? According to the author of Time Bomb: "In 1928 the communists initiated their drive toward world domination when they adopted the "Program of the Communist International" to impose the Soviet way of life on Americans and the rest of the world. These master mind-subverters have always proceeded from the premise that the eradication of Christian moral principles, the inculcation of Communist morality, and the formation of the New Communist Man are the most crucial tasks of Communist construction. Their chief aim then has been the reconstruction of humanity - the reshaping of men's thoughts and beliefs on a mass scale - and their universal instruments of reeducation have been the mixture of utopian Communist community buildings, community values (Communist morality), Communist mass terror." Women, guns, history Sue Munday, alias, Lieutenant Flowers, wore the Confederate uniform, operating principally in Kentucky during the Civil War. Bridget Divers served throughout the same war with the 1st Michigan Cavalry.[1] When the settlers came West, women wore guns to protect themselves and they weren't afraid of using one against a man who would take their body or threaten their children. Throughout the history of this Republic, our citizenry has always been an armed society and for good reason. "To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them." Richard Henry Lee, Virginia delegate to the Continental Congress, Initiator of the Declaration of Independence, and member of the first Senate, which passed the Bill of Rights. Prior to the all out assault on our right to own and bear arms, young boys in this country up to the late 1960s, used to openly carry their rifles to school, check them with the principle and then pick them up after school for shooting competitions. Of course, back then there was a stay at home mother and a father who came home at night. Parents also taught their sons and daughters all about guns from an early age so they would learn to respect them and use them only in self-defense or for hunting. It was as natural as sunshine - that is until the push began to severely restrict our right to own and bear arms by sissies who serve in Congress and the state legislatures. One of the communist goals is to completely disarm this country and the constant barrage of anti-gun bilge spewed by men serving in public office has been a well thought out propaganda program ("reeducation") to turn men into sissies by demanding they become more "sensitive" and politically correct. In other words, emasculate them while brainwashing them into believing that guns are the root of all evil instead of the teeth of liberty. Of course, these panty waste politicians are urged on by new world order soldiers like Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer and Hillary Clinton. Year in, year out, these three anti-American cows promote the same old worn out lies about guns and gun violence. Besides politicians, media publications that cater to women are also in on the "reeducation" programs. In a recent article, Paige McKenzie wrote: "Throughout the 1990s, women's magazine became focused less on fashion and more on features about violence against women and children, even though crime statistics were plummeting across the country....Research studies of women's magazines such as Cosmo, Family Circle, Good Housekeeping, Glamour, Marie Claire, Redbook, Vogue, Woman's Day and Ladies Home Journal show that during that decade stories and cover lines that touched on social issues and victimization skyrocketed. "In almost all of the stories, the message was the same: We have a big problem. It's scary and could affect any woman or her children. . we need government action, and we need it now! And then, of course, there's the "mother network of all victim television": Lifetime Television Network for Women, a forerunner of "Sex and the City," whose programs tell women that "all men are unfaithful rats, abusive monsters, dishonest scumbags, or all of the above." Women, however, are "ubervictims." The shift went from women being the center and strength of the family, not afraid to defend her own, to victim hood where the shrill cry for mother government to protect them - especially from law abiding gun owners - has risen ad nauseum. A very foolish path to follow. The police don't have to protect you For those women who think that just because they call 9-11 when a couple of big bruisers break into their home - if they even have the time or opportunity to get to the phone - that the police are obligated to run right over and save their bacon are wrong. Dead wrong. Not here in California and many other states. Anyone can look up these appellate cases and find out that the courts have repeatedly ruled that law enforcement do not have a duty to protect you or your property: Hartzler v. City of San Jose (1975) 46 Cal.App.3d 6, 120 Cal.Rptr. 5, Davidson v. City of Westminister (1982) 32 Cal.3d 197, 185 Cal.Rptr. 252, Westbrooks v. State (1985) 173 Cal.App.3d 1203, 219 Cal.Rtr. 674, Ne Casek v. City of Los Angeles (1965) 233 Cal.App.2d 13 1, 4-3 Cal.Rptr. 294, Susman v. City of Los Angeles, et al (1969) 269 Cal.App.2d 803, 75 Cal.Rptr. 240, Antique Arts Corp. v. City of Torrence (1974) 39 Cal.App.3d 588, 1 14- Cal.Rptr. 332. Those three to five minutes it takes a squad car (if that quick) to get to your home or apartment can very well mean the difference between life and death. If the two legged predators out there got the message that women have guns in their homes and will use them, guess whose home they're going to skip on burglary/rape night out with the boys? Gun control makes victims of women "The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes....Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Thomas Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774-1776, quoting 18th century criminologist Cesare Beccaria in Chapter 40 of "On Crimes and Punishment", 1764. Suzanne Gloria Lyall, sophomore at the State
University of New York at Albany, disappeared March 2, 1998 after leaving
her job. No trace of her has ever been found. How many more women have to be abducted and murdered before women stand up and say no more? The list above is sickeningly just a fraction of the number of women who are missing; its simply heart breaking. If even one of them were carrying a gun, they would not be a victim. All of the women above are small in stature and weight, just like me. I'm no spring chicken (55th birthday in June). Add my 5'3", 114 pound frame to my not-as-strong-as-I-used-to-be and the only equalizer I have against a two legged predator is a gun. Just because you carry a gun, doesn't mean you have to shoot to kill. You can shoot to wound and for women with poor eyesight like mine, a laser light beam can be attached to your weapon so that where the red light shines, that's the body part you're going to hit. The bottom line is this: women are being snatched in broad daylight at a frightening rate all across this country. So are young men, many of them college students. Gone, just like that. Dad: if you have a son or daughter getting ready to head off to college, help them learn to protect themselves from predators by learning how to responsibily use a firearm. If the predators knew that women in this country were carrying concealed weapons at will, you would see these abduction numbers go way down. Predators would not know which woman has a gun in her purse and if enough shoot their abductors on the spot, predators will get the message. It is our God given right to own and carry a weapon. The Founding Fathers made it crystal clear in their writings despite the bald faced lies by Handgun, Inc, politicians and our corrupt state and federal judiciaries. Women's gun movement Annie get your gun. Buy one. Learn how to use it. Educate yourself about guns through women's gun organizations like Armed Females of America and the Second Amendment Sisters. As for John Lawman, its time women's organizations begin having a friendly chat with their local sheriff who is the highest law enforcement officer in your county. It's time these public servants understand that women have had it with being victims and we will carry a gun, period. Calling 9-11 and waiting for the posse to arrive can cost a life. By the time well meaning officers do show up, you've been hauled off by some animal and that's the last anyone will see of you unless your body is discovered. Most of them aren't. Spread the word about jury nullification over the back fence, at work, at church and to anyone who will listen. If a woman is going to be charged for carrying a weapon, then we need juries who will understand that all these gun laws are unconstitutional and we have the absolute right to carry a gun to protect ourselves, our children, our homes and it's none of mother government's business. It's long past time Americans learned to use their right of jury nullification to do what the cowardly politicians don't have the stomach for: get rid of unconstitutional laws by refusing to convict. The leadership of organizations like Armed Females of America and Second Amendment Sisters need to get their membership kicked into high gear and begin pounding on the media, i.e., Hannity & Colmes, FOX network, Debra Norville (MSNBC) and get you on those shows. The subject of discussion is the number of women being abducted and our right to own and carry. It's time for women to go on the war path against the media on this issue. Those shows all give massive coverage each time one of these abductions catches their fancy. The leadership of the women's gun movement should be on these shows stressing how important it is for women to be able to carry a gun for protection. That won't happen until thousands of your members hound these talk show hosts and threaten to boycott them and their advertisers. Annie get your gun and don't be afraid to use it. We will stand behind you and if your husband or boyfriend doesn't understand the concept, tell them to go sleep in the back yard. It's your life at stake, not theirs.
