When we talk about such things as “the war on Christmas,” or anti-Christian indoctrination in the public schools, the Wise just laugh at us and shake their heads. Those Christians! What vivid imaginations they have!
But we’re nowhere near as imaginative as those people on the Left. That’s to be expected. They’ve had a lot of practice imagining Global Warming, Multiculturalism, and the benefits of socialism. If you can imagine that Bruce Jenner really is a woman, you can imagine just about anything.
In the wake of the San Bernardino mass shooting—perpetrated, as usual, by Muslims—libs and progs reacted by blaming Christians and issuing dark warnings about “white Christian terrorists”. Yup—that whole rash of Methodists flying planes into buildings, Southern Baptists freaking out, Amish suicide bombings—
Stop. This is twaddle. Who cares how many warnings are issued by the Southern Poverty Law Center, itself a fanatical left-wing hate group, of the threat posed by assorted “white Christian terrorist groups” than you never heard of because they haven’t done anything?
Oh, yeah? What about Tim McVeigh? He done something! He blew up that building!
Uh-huh. But for one thing, McVeigh was a nut and not part of any coherent organization. For another, more importantly, there is nothing in the teaching or the example of Jesus Christ that any sane person could construe as an exhortation to blow up a building full of people.
But again, liberals’ imaginations are already stretched a lot wider than ours.
In Norway, secularists’ overheated imaginations have produced some rather ugly actions. Recently an alleged child protection agency seized five Christian children to “protect” them from “Christian indoctrination” by their “radical Christian” parents. Apparently what set them off was the discovery that Christian parents taught their children that “God punishes sins.” Collective gasp from the left side of the aisle. Is there a doctor in the house?
Destroying a family is a pretty radical step, don’t you think? No one in the Norwegian government has taken the trouble to define the term, “radical Christian.” Then again, these things work better when there is no definition—keeps everybody on their toes, not knowing whether they’ve committed a crime or not.
With Muslims pouring into their country and bringing with them such cozy Islamic traditions as female genital mutilation, honor killings, the burqa, tossing homosexuals off the roofs of tall buildings, and beheading Christians, Jews, and any of their fellow Muslims that have ticked them off—these idiots in Norway are worried about “radical Christians.”
But perhaps the American Civil Liberties Union has figured out how to assuage these worries.
A board member of the ACLU in Colorado had to resign last week after posting a somewhat startling suggestion on his Facebook page: to wit, that all Americans who support Donald Trump’s presidential candidacy—that would be several million people—should be… killed.
Wow, mass graves and all! Right here in America. Like the ACLU board member said, “When justice fails, there’s always force.” Can you give me hallelujah?
It really does take a liberal to equate “justice” with mass murder.
We are uncertain whether the board member had to resign because he made the ACLU look like a bunch of bloodthirsty Stalinists, or because he let something slip out that was uncomfortably close to the truth.
This approach sure would solve the Left’s “Christian problem,” wouldn’t it?
This is what happens when your progressive imagination runs away with you.

We already knew that leftist schemes for Utopia inevitably involve lots of barbed wire, machine gun towers, re-education—they like to call it “sensitivity training”—and piles of dead bodies. The 20th century was known for that. We were hoping that libs ‘n’ progs had outgrown their murder mania, and would from now on be content with the gentler arts of brainwashing, child-snatching, and punitive taxation: but it seems they haven’t. Still, what’s too great a price to pay for protection from white Christian terrorists and “Christian indoctrination”?
They’re not going to change. Don’t look for sanity from people who want children to learn all about transgenderism. Their satanic imaginations will continue to drive them up the wall.
God forbid they ever get the kind of power that they dream of.
