What is the new normal in America?

It is unbridled illegal immigrants pouring over our porous borders from unknown destinations and with often unknown intentions. Yes, some are poor farmers seeking only to feed their families. But there are also members of organized crime, potential Islamic terrorists from around the world, Drug traffickers, Human smugglers, MS 13 gang members, Chinese spies, disease infected illegal aliens seeking medical care, pregnant women seeking American status for their soon to arrive babies, and others.

And why do so many deny the enormity of the issue? Why do so many look upon those who would warn as xenophobes, racists, trouble makers or at the very least people who lack compassion? Because it is easier to turn a blind eye and stick our heads in the sand. It requires less of us to watch Oprah or the View, and go shopping, and make dinner for our families.

It is easier to do these benign things then to face the truth. The truth, that we all bear responsibility when we do nothing. The truth that all is not well and we might have to reach out a bit from our cocoon and be uncomfortable. The truth is that we do not have protectors guarding our cities and we must make sure that our families are safe by making those who make the law secure our nation. The truth is that while we were trusting and innocent, the enemy has been storming the gates of our fortress and we were asleep. We must open our eyes and truly look around to the new normal.

The new normal in America is also a city, state and federal government that have become so jaded, greedy, and cynical, they are able to compartmentalize the pain and suffering of the citizens they have sworn to protect. Weak kneed, spineless, money grubbing officials that bend like simmered noodles before ethnocentric, special interest groups driven and funded by greed, hate, backward thinking socialist ideology.

It is a lazy complacent self focused citizenry who can’t wait to turn 18, become independent adults, and leave home only to aspire to be citizens of a nanny state that will feed and clothe and house them, requiring nothing of them, inspiring nothing from them and finally, returning them to the protective womb of dependence and enslavement.

It is the media, the greatest and most cowardly, who knows the truth, has access to the facts but bends it to their own purposes, doing the bidding of their corporate masters. They, who cry for journalistic freedom and integrity, who brag of balance, yet omit facts that might cause the public to draw undesired conclusions. And so, they play the game of derision for those who bring information to them that doesn’t fit their criteria and report only what expands their agenda and eschew then truth like a distasteful artifact.

It is the forces who have sought since the founding of this nation to chew away at the edges while weakening the center of our sovereignty, security, wealth and freedoms. The forces, know that money is the greatest of all evils, and have the resources to prove it. The forces hold our sovereignty by the throat, while under-educating our children and indoctrinating them into New Thinking. It is the squander of our children for the sake of Free Trade and the cause of Globalism.

Now Danielle, through no fault of her own, becomes a new member of the growing list of heartbroken American mothers forced to live the reality that is the new normal in America, that of being collateral damage for change. Obama’s change, McCain’s change, Clinton and Bush’s change. Change we can believe in. Change we can rely on. Change that will destroy us to remake us into the World Government’s image.

Our children are cannon fodder in this brave new America, acceptable losses for the transformation of the enterprise. They are the unintended consequences of progress. When the great change comes, they will be forgotten to all but the bended backed old women who will limp to the gravesites to place flowers on their broken dreams. The new huddled masses are the old women who have lost loved ones in the change we are told is underway for the good of society.

How many Americans sit before the TV and watch the macabre parade of victims and broken hearts that are the result of unchecked illegal immigration? How many shake their heads in dismay, thank God it was not their treasures plundered, ravaged, destroyed. How many realize that in the New Normal America it is just a matter of time.

I wish I could stand on the highest building in each city, unembarrassed and unafraid of snickers, megaphone in hand, and warn the mothers in this country. ‘The borders have been breached! The borders have been breached! The danger is among us! Gather your children to you! Lock your doors! Sit in vigilance.’

Oh, I guess I just did.

Many but not all protectors have gone silent. They have been beaten down and ridiculed and are without power or voice. The greed mongers are in charge, visions of greenbacks, Euros or Ameros dancing in their heads.

But not to worry! You can still get a handbag from china cheap and it won’t fall apart for several uses. You can still save a few pennies on tomatoes, at least when the next salmonella outbreak ends. You can still get your lawn service at half the cost of the company down the road that refuses to employ illegals.

So many boast that there hasn’t been a terrorist attack since 9/11 and so they have gone back to sleep. I challenge you to look into Daniele’s distraught, destroyed, anguished eyes and tell me, there is no terror reigning in America. For it does not come in an airplane, to crash into our buildings. It comes to our streets, neighborhoods, schools, stores, and communities. This terror doesn’t kill by the thousands in an instant of powdered billowing cement from falling towers. It is more like death by a thousand cuts. Just ask the victims of illegal crimes. Just ask Danielle.

This new terror collects funds from the misguided and the greedy and it slithers into DC to arm twist and suppress. It creeps into functions and boardrooms and policy sessions and it hisses eerily, ‘nationalism is dead. Protectionism is evil and selfish. Open the borders, allow in the cargo ships, relocate the manufacturing plants, all is well, all is well…’ This is the new normal.

It is too late for Danielle and my heart weeps for her. It is not too late for you and for your loved ones.
