ANDERSON COOPER KISSES "BOY SCOUT" TO OFFEND TRADITIONAL AMERICA

The headline says it all: “Anderson Cooper Kissed Madonna, Dressed In Boy Scout Uniform, at GLAAD Media Awards.” The CNN host did something that was sure to offend the millions of parents who are resisting the homosexual campaign to force homosexuals into the Boy Scouts of America as Scoutmasters or leaders. But in today’s media world, when even some conservatives are losing the will to resist and throwing other conservatives under the bus for standing strong in defense of traditional values, this extremely offensive stunt will be treated as amusing or funny.
“Madonna smooches Anderson Cooper” is one of the headlines. “Anderson Cooper Honored by GLAAD, Good Scout Madonna,” is how Reuters news agency put it.
One story said that Madonna was dressed in a Boy Scout uniform as she presented the Vito Russo Award, which goes to “an openly gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender media professional” who has made a significant difference in “promoting equality.” Madonna’s outfit was designed “to protest over the organization’s national ban on gay Scouts and Scouts leaders.”
This was a deliberate effort to mock the Scouts for standing for traditional values and instructing young men to be “morally straight.” Anderson Cooper went along with the gag by “kissing” the faux Scout. It was supposed to be cute.
As an Eagle Scout and father of three boys who also had some fun in Scouting, I don’t think it is right to mock this worthwhile program. On Sunday, a young man, 16, was given some time at the pulpit by our priest to announce an Eagle Scout building project on church grounds that he needed support and funds for. His collection baskets were almost overflowing, mostly with $20 bills, from people who wanted to help and see him achieve his desired Eagle Scout rank. This is America at its best. It is something to be promoted, preserved and protected, not mocked.
But if you make fun of the homosexuals, or call attention to their offensive conduct, you come under attack from GLAAD, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, and its allies.
Just days before Cooper and Madonna staged their stunt, GLAAD President Herndon Graddick attacked the new pope of the Roman Catholic Church for saying gay adoption was “discrimination against children.” The pope is old-fashioned and believes that every child has a right to a mom and a dad, and that two lesbian “mommies” or two homosexual “daddies” don’t make a real family. This is offensive to GLAAD and their allies like Anderson Cooper. I suppose Cooper’s next stunt, with the help of Madonna, will be to make fun of the pope himself.
In fact, another line of attack on the GLAAD website is the claim that Pope Francis has “reputed ties to the military junta” that once ruled Argentina, where he was a Cardinal. There is no evidence for this charge, but it has already surfaced on many different left-wing websites, and anti-Catholic media bias has returned with a vengeance. The Vatican has responded by denouncing the “left-wing” media, demonstrating their awareness of the enemy.
In terms of the ultimate enemy, the pope once said, in regard to a bill to legalize same-sex marriage, “Let’s not be naïve, we’re not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God. We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.”
In today’s media world, however, even Fox News has closed ranks behind the homosexual campaign for special recognition and rights for homosexuals. Fox News is a “silver sponsor” of Thursday night’s National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association 18th annual New York Benefit. The “host” or big sponsor is NBC Universal. These sponsors pay big money to be listed in this fashion.
Hosted personally by Today Show host Natalie Morales, the “headliners” of the event include a “who’s who” of the major media:
•
Ashleigh Banfield, CNN
• Jason Bellini, The Wall Street Journal
• John Berman, CNN
• Contessa Brewer, WNBC
• Frank Bruni, New York Times
• Amanda Drury, CNBC
• Josh Elliott, ABC News
• LZ Granderson, ESPN
• Poppy Harlow, CNN
• Erica Hill, NBC News
• Gayle King, CBS News
• Matt Lauer, NBC News
• Leonard Lopate, New York Public Radio
• Erin Moriarty, CBS News
• Rick Reichmuth, Fox News
• Amy Robach, ABC News
• Thomas Roberts, MSNBC
• Troy Roberts, CBS News
• Christine Romans, CNN
• Zoraida Sambolin, CNN
• Katy Tur, NBC News
• Jane Velez-Mitchell, HLN
• Meredith Vieira, NBC News
• Alex Witt, MSNBC
Now keep in mind that all of these news organizations and their news personnel which sponsor or host this homosexual fundraiser will also claim to be objectively covering issues such as the push to open the Boy Scouts of America to homosexuals. It is a lie. They won’t tell you about GLAAD’s media clout.
On the surface, there are certainly differences between NBC news and Fox News. And the head of Fox News, Roger Ailes, is said to attend weekly Catholic mass with his wife, who is Catholic, and their son, according to a Newsmax story. But on this issue – homosexual rights and recognition – there is no real difference between NBC and Fox. They are both funding one side of the debate. It is a conflict of interest that undermines professional journalism.
Other sponsors in various categories include CNN, CBS News, and the New York Times.
The National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association (NLGJA) is a special interest group that manipulates news coverage on behalf of the homosexual movement, and they brag about their successes. Their website boasts how the Associated Press has released a statement announcing a new AP Stylebook entry for husband and wife, “coming after a requested revision by NLGJA.”
Thanks to NLGJA’s “Rapid Response Task Force,” AP will now use the terms husband and wife, without quotes, when referring to two men or two women in same-sex marriages.
In other words, a man can be a wife, and a woman can be a husband.

This great “achievement” in the history of journalism represents the complete distortion of the English language, a tendency I addressed in a recent column on the term, “gay conservative.” This is how lies are propagated in the media. It is our responsibility as media critics to take offense and set the record straight. We should never apologize for standing up for the truth.
In today’s media world, it apparently doesn’t depend on what words actually mean. It depends on what special interest groups say they mean. But this is not real journalism. It is propaganda for a cause. It is a shame that Fox News plays along with this deception.
