THE SILENCE OF THE LEMMING LAMBS
By Joe Kress May 27, 2006 NewsWithViews.com One of the major accomplishments of any totalitarian government is to control the media. That control, unfortunately, is progressing very well within our Republic. I could provide a litany of quotes from Franklin and others who espoused the right of free speech, but that would take up space and is too lengthy in order to get to the meat of this article. At the end of April, 2006, the House Energy and Commerce Committee voted 42 to 12 in favor of a new bill called the Communications Opportunity Promotion and Enhancement (COPE) Act. Dont you just love the sound of these bills that our government wishes to impose upon us? The Government for the powerful by the powerful will eventually perish from this earth, and Lincoln was an ass. This Act would allow ISPs preferential treatment to select customers to charge additional fees to pay for the privilege. The ISPs would be able to block or limit access to websites that refuse to pay or dont particularly like. That, Im sure would include NewsWithViews as a prime candidate. Our wonderful congress, friends of the people, is doing what it normally does so well for a bribe. The protectors of the peoples interests hooked up with the Internet service providersthe cable and telephone companies and co-conspired with them to change a free service into a pay as you go service. CNN, FOX and ESPN already pay the cable companies huge fees for access to their customers. AT&T, Version, Time Warner, AOL and Comcast have in their power to determine which websites will be seen based on how much they can extract from the highest bidder. To demonstrate just how really decadent the majority of this nations representatives are within the Commerce Committee here is a prime example: When they had a chance to approve an amendment that would give equal treatment among Internet users, the cretins voted 34 to 22 to reject it despite heavy support from Google and Amazon. The propaganda that the cable cartel is spewing to the gullible is that Microsoft and Google waste all the bandwidth and the cost is transferred to the consumer. Yeh, sure! So, the solution is for them to become the sole arbiters of who shall view and who shall not dependent on how much one can afford or what favors they are willing to bestow. Please take a minute to visit this site: http://www.savetheinternet.com/ It was reported by savetheinternet.com taken from an article in the Chicago Sun-Times, that the Democrat Congressman Bobby Rush, who co-sponsored the COPE Act (and who blocked the Net Neutrality Amendment), received a 1 million dollar grant from AT&T. Question: How many of you heard about the [COPE] Act? You probably didnt see it in print news or on TV. How many people became aware of what the Commerce Committee is about to present before the full House for a vote? Can anything at all be done to squelch it? In the web site: ecommerececonfidential.com, it was reported that last April, AOL blocked all e-mails referring to a website called www.dearaol.com. That web site was hosted by an advocacy group that opposed AOLs proposed pay-to-send e-mail scheme. Based on past experience, regarding the unmanageable immigration amnesty bill that the Senate is bent on passing, chances are if the COPE bill ever reaches the Senate, it surely would be a done deal because of lobby money. The Senate of the United States just doesnt give one little damn what the public wants, other than its votes; that is why I believe there is a solution to correct what has been for a very long time a direct violation of the United States Constitution. It will take a massive effort to petition members of state legislatures and the governors to overturn this fraud perpetrated on America, but it can be done to reclaim our country and our Constitution. The 17th Amendment to the Constitution The recent U.S. Senate surrender which allows illegal aliens amnesty is in conflict with the House of Representatives version. Incredibly, the senate has the upper hand to impose its treasonous will, if it so wishes. Because of the 17th Amendment to the Constitution, if the senates majority conspires with the President, the Senates bill can be turned into a Treaty with Mexico without the approval of the House and against the majority of the people of the United States. The 17th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution has never been legally ratified, neither was the infamous 16th Amendment. Not all the states ratified these two amendments, but that remains for a future article with the documentation to prove it. The 17th amendment denied State legislatures right to appoint United State Senators in favor of poplar election of those officials. It made senators beholden to the public demands for largess at the same level as the House of Representatives which are more inclined to represent the desires and requests of their constituents as the founders intended. The reason why the change took place was because of a procedural problem, not because there was a need to alter the balance of power. It so happened that many state legislatures couldnt agree on a candidate and left open a vacancy without the state being represented. Sometimes the debates lasted for months before a selection to that august, senatorial body, a supposedly more deliberative body representing interests of their respective states. Another reason was that it deadlocked other business that the legislatures needed to address due to weeks and months spent in debating over selection of their federal senators. To correct this problem requires the political will and without the insistence from the electorate it will never be solved. The 17th Amendment should be wiped out of existence. With proper changes that would solve the problems of the past, it could allow state legislatures to properly be represented instead of acting as lobbyists and they would be a partner in the selection of Federal judges and the jurisdiction of the federal judiciary. Hundreds of millions of dollars would not be spent, as is now the case, to elect a United State Senator. The lobbies would have mush less influence because they wouldnt be centered just a few steps from the Senate office building in Washington, D.C. The senators would be more beholden to their fellow state senators who put them in office. Fortunately, there is included in John MacMullins article Repeal the 17th Amendment his proposed amendment. I recommend everyone who reads this column, prints the proposed amendment and starts a campaign within their respective areas. HOW PEOPLE BECOME LEMMING LAMBS Those who read NewsWithViews are exempted under that category, since they are well aware of what is going on in this country; but before I end this column, we need to jointly understand what happens when the Federal Government takes control of the Education system as it has done progressively over the years; the latest being Bush #2s No Child Left Behind Presidential order. If the U.S. Senate members would have represented their respective state legislatures and governors at the time this edict was announced, I feel confident that this travesty could not have happened. The local teachers on the front lines (not the Mafia-like National Education Associations lobby centered in Washington) are dedicated to the best interests of the child and would have clobbered their state legislators who would go along with the governments most heinous grab on education. Without the 17th amendment U.S. senators would be beholden to the wishes of their state and not to lobbies and Bush #2s efforts would have been defeated. The teachers would have told them that it is impossible to bring all children to the same level of learningthat each child is different and has it own peculiar abilities and deficiencies. Children should not be trained just to meet minimum standards that do not prepare them to cope with the real world; that competition is good as a preparation for life. Teaching to pass a test is the most harmful way of learning possible. The geniuses of public education began as early as the mid-1600s, philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibnitz wrote: Make me master of education, and I will undertake to change the world. In 1763, Louis-Rene Caradeuc de Chalotais (a French philosopher) wrote in his Essay on National Education"I claim the right to demand for the Nation an education that will depend upon the State alone; because it belongs essentially to it, because every nation has an inalienable and imprescriptible right to instruct its members, and finally the children of the State should be educated by members of the State." In that same year, Fredrick II of Prussia made schooling compulsory for all children between five and thirteen. One should know that Fredrick II, an enemy of religions, especially the Catholic religion, hooked up with Adam Weishaupt, the founder of the Illuminati whose purpose was to destroy religions. When Fredrick II discovered that Weishaupts plan also was to destroy the thrones of kings as well, especially his own, he forced Weishaupts band of revolutionaries out of the country. They later showed up as a major influence in 1789 within the French Revolution and the Enlightenment which spread throughout all of Europe and the United States and continues on successfully to this very day. State controlled religion is the mark of every dictator. To mold mens minds through the schools is essential to insure that a totalitarian state survives. Mussolini once boasted that at every hour of every day he could tell which page of which book each school child in Italy is studying. Just after the Bolshevik Revolution, it was determined that the school must create generations of Communists. The children must be shaped like wax, into real, good Communists by removing them from the crude influence of their families and nationalize them. From the first days of their lives they were under Communist influence in nurseries and schools.
Our public education system stems from John Dewey and his adherence to the philosophy of George Hegel, the ideological godfather for modern collectivists. He was the promoter of the progressive education system we have today. The only difference between the old Soviet system of education is that other national systems have different social purposes, but maintain control of every educational procedure to a single and comprehensive social purpose. In our country that purpose is to create a permanent underclass of dumbed-down citizens without the knowledge of this nations history, Constitution, civics and the ability to exercise critical thought. We have become a nation of sheep, lemming-like headed for a cliff. 2006 Joe Kress - All Rights Reserved Sign Up For Free E-Mail Alerts E-Mails
