It seems I have been writing a lot about the internationalists and the New World Order since our new administration has taken office. Now with the release of the May, 2010 National Security Strategy I find I am going to be doing it again. The one thing we can say about our current administration – they sure provide us with a lot to write about.
I’ll start by addressing a few of Mr. Obama’s comments in the opening statement that bears his signature. He begins by addressing the history of America and how we, as Americans, have always risen to meet, and shape, moments of transition. This I would have to agree with, on face value only, however, the view Obama imparts is one that America must change to meet this new transition of “accelerated globalization on an unprecedented scale.”
Obviously, because we live on a planet, a globe that floats through space, and we have not yet found alien worlds with which to enact commerce with, we must, for the time being, accept we live in a globalist “economy.”
Where I think Mr. Obama has fallen off the apple cart is that he believes that because we have global economic trade that we must “lead in an era of globalization… the Nation that helped bring globalization about... and whose people trace their roots to every country on the face of the Earth.” The arrogance of this man is astounding – to believe he has the right to spread his version of governance upon others solely because we do business with them is preposterous.
His entire two and a half page introduction was based totally on platitudes and move toward globalization, international law, and America taking the lead once more. From what I have seen over the past year and a half I don’t know that I want to follow this man’s lead to where he wants to take America.
As he starts the opening of the paragraph of the actual security strategy he lays down his vision for America in the 21st Century as: “[W}e must now build the sources of American strength and influence, and shape an international order capable of overcoming the challenges of the 21st century.” An international order – what was wrong with building alliances between allies?
Look up the definition for “order” in you dictionary it will say something akin to: “1a: a group of people united in a formal way.” Mr. Obama is talking here of an international order so he is stating his desire to unit nations in a formal way. So how do nations “unite” in a formal way? Well, one way is how the United States did it; we created a document that took 13 independent states and united them under a central order. He may be thinking along the lines of European Union where nations agreed to bind together for mutual benefit.
In any case he wishes Americans to rise to meet this moment of transition and sweeping change. Are you ready America? Are you ready for transition and sweeping change? We’ve already seen the start of the sweeping change; the nationalization of American industries, banking and health care system. Are you really ready to get right down and really start our moment of transition? Remember he promised to “fundamentally change America” during the campaign and by George he is trying.
In the midst of laying out the “world as it is” he tells us of the nuclear dangers, wars, damage to the environment (amid the junk science), dangers to public health; then he ends with “the same tools that empower individuals to build enable them to destroy.” I don’t know what individuals HE runs with but the individuals I know do not have means to destroy. Unless this is a, not so veiled, reference to America’s armed populace.
He goes on to state “America’s commitment to pursue our interests through an international system in which all nations have certain rights and responsibilities.” Obviously he is speaking from the position of a global citizen because in America we believe that rights come from our creator and not some international order. But to carry this out to its logical conclusion; if nations have certain rights and also responsibilities, who decides what those are? How are those responsibilities going to be gauged and what happens when they are not met? Is there then going to be an international judicial system to enforce those responsibilities? If there is an international judicial body, how are those rulings upheld – will there by an international police force to ensure compliance? And what happens when those who are not a part of this new order decide to challenge that order – will there be an international military to defend the interests of those that belong to the order? Questions which were not answered by him in this forum!
His plan, whatever that may be, includes “American engagement on strengthening international institutions and galvanizing the collective action…so that we can cooperate on issues of bilateral and global concern…” And with this new found cooperation “we will pursue engagement with hostile nations to test their intentions…” So let me get this straight, his strategic goal is to build an international cabal, I mean collective, who will cooperate on global concerns so that they can engage with hostile nations, as a test of their intentions – sounds like empire building on a global scale. Let me see, how did George Washington put it? – “The policy of America should be trade with all but entangling alliances with nobody.” Now our President wants to have foreign entanglement on a global scale – that ought to make it much easier.
No longer are politicians hiding behind veiled language, secret memos concerning an emerging New World Order; Mr. Obama states “Finally, our efforts to shape an international order that promotes a just peace must facilitate cooperation capable of addressing the problems of our time. This international order will support our interests, but it is also an end that we seek in its own right. New challenges hold out the prospect of opportunity, but only if the international community breaks down the old habits of suspicion to build upon common interests.” Let there no longer be any doubt in the minds of American’s that this president’s goal is a New World Order and that that goal is “an end we seek in its own right.”
To those out there that would say that Mr. Obama’s international order is just one of a global market place and prosperity I would say that Mr. Obama has separated those within his own writing and they are BOTH goals of his administration evidenced by his statement:
“American interests are enduring. They are:
•
“The security of the United States, its citizens, and U.S. allies
and partners;
• A strong, innovative, and growing
U.S. economy in an open international economic system that promotes
opportunity and prosperity;
• Respect for universal values at home and
around the world; and
• An international order advanced by
U.S. leadership that promotes peace, security, and oppor¬tunity
through stronger cooperation to meet global challenges.”
As is plainly evident in his perception of American interests the movement toward an international order is separate from global economics and is a means unto itself.
Nearly every page of this document calls for an international/global order or lays out the things necessary to achieve such. As a student of the Constitution, the founders and their writings I am led to believe those that built this nation would find the current concepts of this administration abhorrent. Individual self government and liberty has given way to not only more oppressive government but a government with an eye toward global governance in that same vein.

Obama’s total disregard for our founding values and concept of freedom and liberty are only overshadowed only by the arrogance of believing he has the right to do these things. In 1798 Thomas Jefferson stated: “In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.” Although Mr. Obama has referenced the Constitution many times I find his actions an affront to it. There is no power within this document that empowers building and international order and certainly not without ratification from its members to modify it so to do.

Michael is a strict constitutionalist who believes in interpreting the constitution by the original intent of the founding fathers. His research has led him to the conclusion that the republic founded by the Constitution is no longer honored by our government. That those who rule America today are doing so with the interest of the federal government in mind and not the Citizens. Michael believes that all three branches of government have strayed far from the checks and balances built into the Constitution and they have failed the American people. A clear example is the Second Amendment, which the Supreme Court and the founders have all said was an individual right and could not be "infringed" upon, now has more than 20,000 state and federal laws regulating every aspect of the individuals right, a definite infringement. He has traveled around the world living in 14 States of the Union including Hawaii, and visited (for various lengths of time) in Spain, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Korea, Scotland, Pakistan, Mauritius, Somalia, Diego Garcia, Australia, Philippines, England, Italy, Germany, and Puerto Rico.
