"PROPHECY WATCHERS" CELEBRATE THEIR ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The New Kids on the Block - Time to Celebrate
It has been a year since “Prophecy Watchers,” the “New Kid on the Block,” made its way to the forefront of Christian television. With all they’ve accomplished in just their first year, it will be interesting to see what God has planned for year two! This is a great success story that needs to be celebrated.
I can recall the day when Bob Ulrich, the man in charge of operations at Prophecy Watchers, told me that he and Gary Stearman (the head of this new ministry), were going to launch their new ministry. You’ve heard the old expressions—having “a shoestring budget,” or doing things on “a wing and a prayer”; well, they had the prayers…but that was all they had. And, yet, you could see the Divine hand of God in all that had happened for those two faithful servants of His as He poured out one blessing after another upon this new start-up ministry.
Two particular acts of Divine blessing stick in my memory to this very day. When putting together any sort of television ministry along the lines of Prophecy Watchers, you need a place to put everything; a headquarters. In this case, it’s not that there wasn’t any “room in the manger” for them, it’s just that there was no manger for them at all! All of Gary’s and Bob’s earlier shows were being shot out of Gary’s family room, home to the neighbor with the weed whacker and the UPS doorbell surprises and the initial programs were recorded with a limited amount of recording equipment. Which, by insinuation, means that not only did they need better recording devices, they needed a private place to set up studios to record their shows.
Now, here’s where it gets very interesting and providential. Gary and Bob had been trying to find a place to house their new headquarters, but nothing seemed to fit the bill. Then, miraculously, shall we say, they found a place, but Gary thought the place “was a palace” and far too nice for a first headquarters. Bob agreed. About two months later they noticed that the “For Sale” sign was still up and they decided to inquire about it. Well, the long and short of it is, they were able to move into “The Villa,” and now, if my understanding of the situation is correct, they now own the place outright. And it not only has a TV studio in place, it has two! And a Master Suite for their out of town guests. What more could they ask for?
Shortly thereafter, another friend of Gary’s called him and explained that he was downsizing his business and had tons of extra office furniture. Could the new ministry use any nice office furniture? As I recall the story, Gary and Bob left with three truckloads of desks, chairs, tables and even staplers, completely furnishing their headquarters. Well, what about the cameras, lights, computers, phone systems and other such devices they were going to need to produce any sort of quality TV show?
God was obviously looking out for them. Financial gifts and offerings were pouring into Prophecy Watchers at such a rate they were able to quickly buy all the equipment necessary to produce their online shows. Mind you, one of those amazing gifts was a promise of a $100,000 matching gift. Miraculously, another $100,000 worth of gifts and donations poured in, launching their ministry back onto TV all across the country. Now, word has come out that Gary and Bob are heading back to The Church Channel and their potential worldwide audience of over a BILLION people. Talk about a cause for celebration folks! This is the hand of God at work!
It has been a little more than a year now since the “New Kid on the Block”, “Prophecy Watchers”, made their way back to the Christian forefront, and their story just keeps on growing. Last month they reached one of their major long range goals—producing a monthly magazine called: “The Prophecy Watcher.” With more than a dozen of the best prophecy researchers and writers on call, I know we can all expect nothing but the best from the “Prophecy Watchers” monthly magazine.

Other blessings, from a most Divine hand, are evident in this next year—2016, “Prophecy Watchers” will be hosting the very first “Rocky Mountain International Prophecy Conference” in Colorado Springs, CO. being held from July 15th – 17th, 2016 at the Marriot Hotel near the Air Force Academy. I’ve seen a list of the speakers, all of whom are without comparison in their fields of expertise. Tickets will go on sale online on October 13 and I would strongly advise going to their web site immediately once the date comes around. There will only be 1,000 tickets, and once they’re gone there will be no more available, with no exceptions!
With all my heartfelt joy I say: “Megacongratulations to Prophecy Watchers” on their first year, and a very special “thank you” to Gary Stearman and Bob Ulrich for having the courage, drive, and determination and especially for having the kind of Christian integrity that allowed God to use you both today in the way that He has.
