PROPHETIC FORCE ENERGIZING WORLD AGENDA

On December 10, 1989 the fourteenth Dalai Lama, who is the political and religious leader of Tibet, won the Nobel Peace Prize. His name is Tensin Gyatso. The Dalai Lama was born into a peasant family in Amdo, Tibet in 1935. At the age of fourteen he was officially installed as the Dalai Lama. He has had to non-violently resist the Chinese invasion for over 30 years.

Over one million of Tibet’s six million inhabitants have died as a result of the Chinese occupation. Long before Tiananmen Square the Chinese Army has repeatedly massacred Tibetan demonstrators – killing hundreds just three months before the Tiananmen Square blood bath. Out of this background the Dalai Lama has emerged as a major spokesman for world peace. He has enlisted the aid of politicians, celebrities and businessmen such as Fred Segal, the retailing entrepreneur of Los Angeles and actor Richard Gere.

The Dalai Lama’s teachings stem from Buddhism and he has made efforts to make close ties to those in the scientific community, specifically in the fields of cosmology, psychology, neurobiology and physics. The Dalai Lama believes that Buddhism is not a religion, but a science and can tie spirituality with science and politics. He believes in the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. He has developed the Five- Point Peace Plan to create an environment for world peace.

According to the Dalai Lama, “our century is very important historically for the planet. There is a big competition for world peace and world war, between the force of the mind and the force of materialism, between democracy and totalitarianism. And now within this century… the material force is very strong, but there is the feeling that something is missing.” Although stemming from an Eastern mystical world view, the Dalai Lama expresses concern over the stewardship of the planet.

However, the Dalai Lama has the belief that mankind is evolving spiritually. This is based on an assumption that there is a good force that is guiding mankind towards some kind of celestial destiny. It is difficult to believe in that assumption in light of over 200 million people being killed, imprisoned and tortured under Communism and Hitler’s National Socialism. In addition, we see the mass production of WMD’s from Russia, China, India, Great Britain, America and many other nations. At any moment, an “accidental” regional thermonuclear war could become a global thermonuclear war. Clearly, there are very powerful forces of spiritual darkness in our world, that the Apostle Paul called the kosmoskaratos.

Much of what is called modern Christianity and Judaism in our world does not seem to express itself with the symphonic grace of earlier generations. The linking of Buddhism with physics is externally a superior spiritual gesture. In previous centuries Christianity was the energizing force behind classical music, literature, science, physics and the unique form of Constitution government in America. However, something happened and there has been a degeneration of the purity and power of Christianity.

Yet, despite the spiritual degeneration, the fundamental truths in the Bible deal with the problem and good vs. evil, in a way that is not sufficiently acknowledged by other spiritual belief systems. The concept of an actual spiritual war between a Lucifer and God is very offensive to many. They see this perception as archaic and the antithesis of evolutionary thought. But, it is only the Old and New Testaments that deal with the reality of evil and the triumph of good adequately. In addition, the Bible contains accurate predictions of the future, which is called prophecy.

There have been prophets from many religious and spiritual disciplines. But, the Biblical prophets deal with the archetypical conflict with good and evil. In addition, Biblical though deals with the basis and primal concepts of eternity, judgment, Satan, Armageddon, hell and the Second Coming. The mere mention of these words makes many, in our Internet and neurologically wired global community, physically sick. I understand this reaction because it provoked the same response in me in the earlier years of my life.

Ironically, although I had been exposed to a limited degree to Christian thought, I rejected it as an antiquated and archaic concept. Yet, the mechanism for my consideration of its claims was based on the writings of Aldous Huxley and Dr. Timothy Leary. Huxley wrote the book, “Heaven and Hell and the Doors of Perception,” which basically said that if you wanted to go through the doors of perception by ingesting the psychedelic drug mescaline, you will find the answers through higher consciousness. Leary repeated this claim, suggesting that the use of the psychedelic LSD would expand your mind and you would find God. Obviously, both Leary’s and Huxley’s god was the god of Eastern mysticism.

One afternoon, I took Huxley’s and Leary’s advice and ingested the psychedelic drug LSD. During the course of this “acid trip,” I did not find higher consciousness. Instead, I found myself on my knee’s praying an old fashioned prayer of repentance to a small Catholic card with a picture of Jesus Christ on it. Yes, one of those “funky” pictures of Christ. I found the opposite of what I was looking for, but I found truth.

As such, when I look at the gathering storm clouds threatening both the horizon of my nation and world, I cannot help but acknowledge that the archetypical forces of good and evil, that I so despised as a young man, are gathering for the final conflict, which is the final showdown.
