TO THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES
FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION TO
RESTORE, MANDATE, AND GUARANTEE TO ALL CITIZENS
EQUALITY UNDER LAW
Whereas, the Constitution of the United States, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights require all citizens to be protected against the establishment of privileged classes of citizens to whom the laws of the United States do not apply; and
Whereas,
the citizens serving by election, appointment, or employment in public
office are to be governed equally under the law by their actions as all
other citizens are subject to such
actions by equality under law; and
Therefore, no exemptions, waivers, or other escape from equality under law, such as to establish a privileged class of citizen, shall be allowed.
Accordingly,
the undersigned citizen of the United States of America hereby joins with
other like-minded citizens to petition the Congress of the United States
to immediately enact the
following:
BE IT ENACTED:
THE
CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES HEREBY RESOLVES AND ENACTS
THAT ALL MEMBERS OF THE SAID CONGRESS SHALL BE SUBJECT TO EQUALITY UNDER
LAW BY ANY AND ALL LEGISLATION WHICH THEY ENACT IN THE SAME MANNER AS
ALL OTHER CITIZENS ARE SUBJECT THERETO, WITHOUT ESCAPE THEREFROM BY EXEMPTION,
WAIVER, SPECIAL PRIVILEGE OR ANY OTHER MEANS. FURTHERMORE, THIS ENACTMENT
SHALL APPLY TO THE LEGISLATIVE BRANCH, THE JUDICIAL BRANCH AND THE EXECUTIVE
BRANCH OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
