Authentic freedom is a life of liberty from bondage to persons, things, or ideals— whether cultural, religious or political—that subscribe your dependence upon them rather than upon God alone.

Freedom is not a tangible state of existence that can be merely acquired at a store counter, nor can it be purchased with silver, gold or by any form of material power. Freedom cannot be regulated by human agencies because it is not possible for men to give or take it away (I’ll explain this later). Freedom is more than just a mindset or a state of being that is determined by ones own choice. Nor is it a philosophical dialog of ideas that eventually gets lost in translation. Freedom transcends human logic and mere imaginary mind games that really are nothing more than man’s vain attempt to contain it, control it, or sell it. Freedom is not subject to the debate of the creation, no matter how brilliant or intelligent it presumes itself to be. Freedom is none of these things. Whatever creation attempts to conjure up to define freedom is but a mere counterfeit of the reality of it, and is a vain and powerless pursuit.

Authentic freedom is a life of liberty from bondage to persons, things, or ideals— whether cultural, religious or political—that subscribe your dependence upon them rather than upon God alone. Authentic freedom refuses to be inhibited by ideologies steeped in fear, laced with hate for the truth, and warmly glazed over with cheaply peddled words uttered by moronic, uninformed, manipulated, and self-righteous neophytes that have been affirmed by their own kind. Sheer desperation persuades them to hold off the gut wrenching conviction that they are wrong concerning biblically based freedom.

Their idea of freedom is but a semantic game designed to declare humanism as the standard of all things, that man is his own god; therefore what he sees as truth is truth. In their realm, there are no absolutes only chaos. No matter how destructive, chaos is where we are supposed to discover our origin. Humanism has proven itself to be one of history’s most savage and intolerant faiths. The history of humanism is one of terror, slavery, and persecution. Inevitably, due to the heavy burden of lack of living proof to substantiate their twisted beliefs, the neophytes must re-brand themselves to continue their historic battle to establish themselves as “God.” To do so, they are required to attack the true God of the Bible and all those who accept His testimony regarding freedom.

We must boldly defy such stupidity, pride and arrogance of this religion that has placed within its crosshairs our national anthem of liberty and freedom founded upon our Christian faith and heritage. It is precisely the ideology of humanism that attempts to wrangle apart our nation. It has embedded itself within the leadership of our government over previous decades. Furthermore, we see it at work like never before through this current administration by implementing totalitarianism-type of ideas and policies that attack the very core of our faith and therefore, our freedom. Our inherent freedom declares that every human being is born with inalienable rights, a conscience free from the obstruction of another human being, and the capacity of a personal faith to be directed in the choosing of his or her own violation.

Freedom can only be accessed by faith in the One who not merely bestows freedom, but IS freedom. Freedom has to be bestowed upon a person, community or nation. It is not born out of chaos, as humanitarians would have us believe. Rather, it is a spiritual covering of God Himself who by His very nature changes the atmosphere, and empowers those who subject themselves under Him to unabashedly abide in freedom’s blessing. Freedom directs righteous thinking, and is the soil in which the seeds of liberty and purpose flourish to uninhibited heights. It is the core of all that is good, healthy, and true. Freedom made America what it is, and only freedom can keep America from becoming a prisoner of her enemies. Yes, freedom has many enemies, but only one primary enemy.

As the serpent said unto the woman:

Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. -Genesis 3:4,5

It was satan who manifested himself through the body of this serpent with this idea that every person can be his or her own god, and define for themselves what is good and what is evil. If this idea was actually true, then freedom could be whatever we deem it to be. However, it’s not the truth, but rather, the reason why Adam and Eve forfeited everlasting life in the Garden of Eden. When they disobeyed freedom’s voice and partook of the forbidden fruit, they immediately started to die.

Freedom is the only force that can defeat evil, not because it is a force in and of itself, but because freedom is a characteristic of a person who came to destroy evil. Freedom is not a science, not subject to an independent definition, or even a worldview bestowed upon it by elitists. Freedom is a person that has been endowed by the Creator to not merely think and talk about freedom, but to demonstrate the power necessary to literally set people free.

Freedom is the Creator. History records only one person ever using His name and the complete essence of freedom in the same breath. History spoke of Him prior to His birth, of His birth, of His death, and of His Resurrection. It even speaks of His return. While thousands claim to offer freedom, history has nothing to say of their birth or their death, whereas this man is spoken of in all spheres of time. In fact Jesus, being this man, spoke of those who would claim to be the way, but exposes them as false prophets, hirelings, wolves in sheep’s clothing. Furthermore, this biblical freedom is not free. He alone purchased this freedom with His life, and secured it with His resurrection. Only He has the keys of death and hell (Revelations 1:18). That’s freedom!

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6,7)

When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt. (Hosea 11:1)

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; (Deuteronomy 18:15)

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4,5)

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36)

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (I John 3:8)

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. (Luke 4:18)

It is the person of Jesus who is touched with the feelings of our infirmities, and is all knowing and all powerful. It was for this purpose that He was born: to set people free. If freedom did not come by God through His Son, Jesus Christ, according to scripture, it would then be subject to each person’s definition of what freedom is. Therefore, freedom would not come by faith, but instead, by any reason we choose on any given day, resulting in no standard or rule by which mankind is held accountable. This truth is non-negotiable, and, unlike other claims, is provable.

Such is the diabolical danger of collectivism, socialism, groupthink and the core of the new liberal mindset. Such ideologists believe they have the power to define what freedom is, and then create laws to enforce it. Not only is this ignorant, it is nothing new and its failure to become a reality will be nothing new as well. We see it happening within the first year of Obama’s administration. We see a rejection of this ideology as the healthcare bill has been squarely defeated by the people who for a US Senator who vowed to stand against it. We are a witnessing a core of the American people reject bondage regarding their choices, higher taxes and invasive government. Why? Because as my signature phrase resounds, “The DNA of America is liberty and freedom!” This country was founded upon Christ’s message of freedom and its citizens will fight to keep it.

To espouse the liberty that Jesus Christ gives to those who come to Him by faith for this liberty, one has to also accept the truth of His words. Christ liberates people based on the authority He has over the one (satan) who instills bondage and fear in mankind. Hence, this is a battle of forces that are beyond flesh and blood. To win this battle one cannot compromise who the Truth is and what He has to say about Himself and about freedom.

In his superbly written book entitled, Law and Liberty, Roush John Rushdoony writes,

“We cannot begin to combat these revolutionary forces unless we first of all challenge their evolutionary foundation. The myth of evolution, a modern form of an ancient cultural myth, must be challenged in the name of Biblical creationism, without any apology or hesitancy, and without any concessions. The creation of all things by God in six days is the plain statement of Scripture. It is the necessary premise, the foundation, of Biblical faith. For men to compromise and to substitute other foundations means to substitute man for God, and man’s thinking for God’s word, and the consequences can only be disaster. “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it” (Psalms 127:1).

Freedom is only relevant because it actually brings a person from one state of living to another, not merely a state of being or a state of ideas, but a state of living. Transformation. Change. Metamorphosis. These are not philosophical words designed to hide powerlessness.

Freedom is tangible, traceable, and transparent and this is precisely what Christ alone came to do. It transports one from being held captive behind bars, to enable a person to be his or her own true self without being inhibited by fears, people or even rule of law when based on a lie. Freedom also provides a confidence that does not require the inhibiting of others from pursuing their dreams, achieving unrestrained success, and acquiring property within the confines of what is moral, humane and righteous.

In conclusion, you must grasp freedom by faith through relationship with He Who is freedom, the persona of freedom, and has ALL power over the devil and the world.

Oh, I said I would explain why humans cannot give or take away freedom.

Because freedom starts within you, never without.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelation of John 3:20)

Open the door to your heart to Him and…be free.
