What are you expecing this year?
Is it a little more than what you have or is it a total do over?
Are you playing it safe or going all out?
Do you really care?
All of the above answers hinges on one thing: God
Either with Him or without Him, it still hinges on God.
We must be reminded that America was formed to accomplish God's purpose. This shouldn't come as a surprise to us, but we do sometimes forget. When we forget we inevitably replace God's purpose with our own or that of others. Even our forgetfullness works within God's purpose. In His soveriegnty, He has prepared the day before the day arrived. So too has he prepared America and the New Year before us.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV [11] For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
In light of His preparation, His, thoughts and His expected end, how will you celebrate 2015? How will you view America?
Regardless of the ills that face our nation, the leadership that has, this is and that will infect all that is good, as far as you are concerned, you must grasp and hold onto the truth that God knows His thoughts towards you. This is not a three tier relationship: You, America and God. It is a one on one relationship as a Christian - You and God.
This truth enables us to view America from a Kingdom perspective. It brings a liberty that literally liberates. It is from this prophetic perspective that we are able to live in the "expected end" that God has ordained rather than in the end of what the nation sees. This word was spoken during horrific times in which the people of Israel where in bondage and slavery in Babylon. Are we to mistakenly assume that any nation trumps the overall purpose of God for us today? Absolutely not!
For us to now that the God of Israel has thoughts towards us and that they are thoughts of peace and not evil should give us a calm as well as courage to face the day. It should propel us to fulfill His mind, His will and His pleasure whereever we are. Prophetically Babylon is any place that is not where God is calling us. Your Babylon is for sure different than mine - but we both are assured of the end - there is no mystery - it is expected.
It doesn't stop there however. We have to go back to verse 10 to really grasp the truth and the power of verse 11
10 For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
The truth is that what we deem is new is not new. It is always what God had in mind. He directs the traffic of our lives when we submit to His Lordship. When we refuse to accept his direction, we come under the influence of the traffic and can easily lose significance and purpose for not only who we are but where we are.
Again Bablyon is where we are, but not to where God is calling us.
When we fall in love with Babylon or even out of love with God, we find a false sense of security in where we are, what we have and unfortunetley where we are headed.

America is not our standard. It is actually pitiful that I have to even mention this. Because those who claim faith in Christ, may we not be ashamed that we forget. Afterall, we are flesh, frail and forgetful. If we truly (this is incorrect English - you either are or not... but) are born of God, our hopes, aspirations and desires are to be obdient to His mandate.
1 Peter 1:14 KJV [14] As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
I implore you to press beyond Babylon. Take hold of heaven and of what God has in mind for you. God has you where you are to bring you to where He's calling you. Until you behold Him face to face, this journey will always move forward and be filled with joyous expectation.
