According to many pundits, the resuls of the November 4th elections, where Republicans gained at least seven seats in the US Senate and several more in the House of Representatives, represents a sea change in American politics.
But will this change in politics represent a change in American public policy?
In my view, here is how we will know.
Will Congress take action to stop the murder of the unborn in America?
Will funding for planned parenthood be eliminated?
Will Obamacare be repealed? Will the new Republican controlled Congress respond to the clearly expressed will of the people and the clear wording of the Constitutiton which does not allow the national government to be involved in health care regulation nor in health care financing?
Will the Department of Education, which also is not authorized in Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution be defunded by this Republican controlled Congress?
Will the Federal Reserve be eliminated? Will it even be audited?
When Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe becomes, as expected, the chairman of the Senate environment and public works committee, a committee has the ability to hold up, change, or scrap any climate change legislation, will Senator Inhofe, who has described climate change as a "hoax", follow through on his promises?
Will the out of control spending in Washington DC, which is in the control of the Republican controlled Congress really be reigned in?
Will the Congress recall the American military from the unconstitutional and immoral wasteful wars for empire?
Will the national government now do its duty under Ariticle Four and Section Four of the Constitution and defend the borders of America?
Will this Congress respect the God-given, constitutional right of the people to keep and bear arms?

Will the holy institution of marriage be defended?
These are some ways that we will know if real change has taken place.
If these things do not occur, then, despite all the hoopla and headlines about a tidal wave of change, we haven’t even had a change of the tide.
