STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES
Today 12-26-12 I picked up the paper and read a nonsensical opinion article by Cokie and Steve Roberts entitled: "Cops Understand the Urgency of tightening Gun Controls." It was a most ignorant soliloquy and at best a progressive propaganda piece that reflected an absolute misguided mental subjectivity in regard to the Constitution, the Historical history of the American Republic; and in addition it evidenced a cognitive stupidity in regard to the law enforcement profession in the United States. It was pure and simple…a dim-witted hit piece on firearms and the gun industry. The article was completely devoid of any semblance of objectivity and based entirely upon personal prejudices and misinformation.
EDUCATED IDIOTS & OTHERS
There were a number of quotes in the article attributed to police administrators' whom were identified by the Roberts' as "the men and women who patrol our streets." A more accurate impartation would have been to have identified these as over-educated idiots with police administration degrees and nearly no practical police experience. The Roberts' contrast these with Gun Rights Advocates by identifying the latter as loonies. The only accurate statement in the whole article was that, Police Chiefs are political creatures; and they most certainly are – "they are political creature's first and smart peace officers a very distant second."
UNARMED CITIZENS ARE EASY TO CONTROL AND EASY TO ELIMINATE
Any honest Cop will tell you that many police desk jockeys' (who might possibly be called out on emergencies) hate rapid firing semi-auto rifles and high capacity magazines for the very same reason that the NAZI enforcers hated them. These technologies put effectively into the hands of citizen protesters and guerillas the same deadly strength that they themselves possessed. An unarmed citizen is easy to control and presents no threat to the dictatorial domination of totalitarian-minded government entities, which the NAZI were and America is rapidly becoming.
It is not difficult to detect the reason that Americans are resistant to gun confiscation; the Roberts' missed the conclusion by a county mile, and then some; once a dumb easily controlled pacifist - always a dumb easily controlled pacifist.

USE SOME COMMON SENSE
The Roberts' end their treatise by writing: "Just ask a cop." I suggest, and advise dear reader, exactly the same proposal. I would add only that you should select a true and courageous cop of the field who actually lives the dangers of the job, and not some desk jockey or administrator who sits in the comfort of headquarters; until or unless they have walked a mile in a real policeman's world…stay away from them.
If we do not hear from some media people, journalists, and writers with common sense love of liberty and freedom, we will soon have neither.
After reading what the Roberts' have had to say I can tell they are not an example of such, and they do not have the answer. One can only hope that dumbness is its' own reward, and if it is… there are presently a lot of happy people in this nation, particularly in the media.
