It’s 2013, and President Obama, about to start his second term, is getting ready to start a new push to grant an amnesty to illegal aliens. According to the New York Times:
“President Obama plans to push Congress to move quickly in the coming months on an ambitious overhaul of the immigration system that would include a path to citizenship for most of the 11 million illegal immigrants in the country, senior administration officials and lawmakers said last week.”
Of course the “11 million illegal immigrants” figure is the lowest estimate, others put it much higher. The point is, Obama wants an amnesty. The New York Times continues:
“Mr. Obama and Senate Democrats will propose the changes in one comprehensive bill, the officials said, resisting efforts by some Republicans to break the overhaul into smaller pieces ….which might be easier for reluctant members of their party to accept.”
Hmm, under the circumstances, this might be a blessing in disguise. That is, if the Democrats are too ambitious it might scare away Republicans who might be apt to vote for amnesty in smaller bites. Let us see. The New York Times points out this important fact;
“The president and Democrats will also oppose measures that do not allow immigrants who gain legal status to become American citizens one day, the officials said.”
Of course the Democrats want the illegal aliens to become citizens! They are quite confident (and most likely correct) that most of them will vote for the Democrats.
Republicans need to fight this amnesty tooth and nail. I don’t have much confidence, though, in the national GOP leadership, which seems quite ready to sell out the country. Speaker of the House Boehner has already expressed his willingness to go along with an amnesty.
Get ready for lots of propaganda in the Mainstream Media, with sob stories about illegal aliens “living in the shadows.” Consider the fact that very few illegal aliens are deported anyway, and illegal aliens have the freedom to march down the street demanding amnesty.
It’s about the demographics. Most immigrants who wind up voting, whether they arrive here legally or illegally, wind up voting for the Democratic Party. Immigration provides ground troops for the Welfare State and the emerging Democratic Majority. Our government is electing a new people. You, dear reader, are probably not included.
Are you concerned about our nation’s adherence to the Constitution, limited government, the free market, the right to bear arms, the national debt, abortion, gay marriage, freedom of speech, all of the above? Name your cause(s), but you must realize that all these issues are related to immigration.
Why? Because the government is importing a new people who will help transform this country and make it even more socialist and much less free. Many constitutionalists, libertarians and conservatives just don’t get this, but it’s a reality.

If you oppose amnesty, I suggest you start contacting your representative and senators. (Contact info here). You can make your voice heard in other ways as well, such as by talking to friends and writing to newspapers. Educate your fellow citizens!
If you support the transformation of our country, there’s no need to do anything. It’s already occurring. Your side is winning.
