American is in a mind warp of sorts. The death of a black man at the hands of the police in Charlotte, North Carolina erupted into riots, property damage and stealing property.
“By early Wednesday, demonstrators had shut down traffic on Interstate 85. Some opened the backs of tractor-trailers, took out boxes and set them on fire in the middle of the highway, according to local news reports. A truck driver told news station WSOC that people stole cargo from her trailer”

The narrative purposely omitted one important fact.
“Authorities said the officer who shot Scott is black, and ….has worked for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police force since July 2014.”[1] So the accusation of racism rings hollow in this incident.
“Over the last several days, the riots in Charlotte, NC, have grown out of control, prompting Gov. Pat McCrory to declare a state of emergency.
While, early on, it was reported that most of the protesters were locals seeking change within their own community, it seems that's no longer the case. In an interview with CNN's Erin Burnett, Todd Walther, the spokesman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police, explained:
"I'm not saying all the people, but we've got the instigators that are coming in from the outside. They were coming in on buses from out of state.
If you go back and look at some of the arrests that were made last night, I can about say probably 70% of those had out-of-state IDs. They're not coming from Charlotte."
With reports of violence, looting, and vandalism popping up around the city, Walther continued:
"This is not Charlotte that's out here. These are outside entities that are coming in and causing these problems.
These are not protestors, these are criminals."
Such individuals — who have been referred to as "agitators" by police — focus more on destruction than peaceful protests, and it's not the first time they've been tied to demonstrations like those in Charlotte.
These claims of "outside entities" also closely echo those that emerged amidst the Ferguson protests in 2014:”[2]
So if the protests were actually about the unjust killing of a black man, why destroy someone else’s property, why vandalize the offices of NASCAR, why break in and steal from Walmart?
If they were really concerned about black genocide, they would be at the local Planned Parenthood which combined nationwide kills more black babies every four days than all the blacks that were lynched by the KKK in 86 years. “Over 86 years, the Ku Klux Klan lynched 3,446 blacks – a figure matched in less than four days if tallying the number of black babies who are aborted.”[3]
“More than crime. More than accidents. More than cancer, heart disease and AIDS. Abortion has taken more black American lives than any other cause of death since 1973… Abortion is the leading cause of death in the United States, but for black Americans abortion causes more deaths every year than every other cause of death combined…Planned Parenthood … 79% of all their abortion facilities are located near minority neighborhoods. There is no way that’s simply “coincidental.” Since 1973, approximately 13 million black babies have been lost because of abortion, and out of the approximately 4000 abortions that are performed daily in the United States, 1452 of them are performed on African American women and their unborn children.”[4]
So if all Black Lives really mattered to the protestors, they would be outside the Charlotte Planned Parenthood, shutting down that facility which kills more blacks in one month than were killed by police across the whole country since January 2015. “In 2015, The Washington Post launched a real-time database to track fatal police shootings, and the project continues this year. As of [July], 1,502 people have been shot and killed by on-duty police officers since Jan. 1, 2015. Of them, 732 were white, and 381 were black (and 382 were of another or unknown race).”[5]
The other aspect of this that demonstrates the irrational mind that overcomes America, is the attitude which is obstinately opposed to the death penalty. In fact in North Carolina itself it has been more than 10 years since anyone was executed.[6] Yet in Charlotte alone in 2012 the FBI reports 5238 violent crimes and 52 murders.[7] So the message seems all to clear, murder the innocent babies by the millions and no one is charged with a crime, instead the perpetrators are paid millions of dollars, and the tax payer is in part forced to foot the bill.
Yet all the while those who murder anyone outside the womb, if they are ever caught or prosecuted, then they are given, again at the tax payers expense, food, clothing and housing for many, many years. Murders are let off, while the innocent are slaughtered. What an upside down, backwards, inside out way of thinking about justice in our land.

And now there are increasing number of Christians who stand against the death penalty. In a 2014, “A … poll by the Barna Group found that only 40% of practicing Christians supported the death penalty, and support was even lower among younger Christians. According to the poll … only 23% of practicing Christian "millennials" (i.e., those born between 1980 and 2000) agreed with the statement: "The government should have the option to execute the worst criminals."[8]
Does the Word of God speak to this issue? Indeed it does, as it speaks to all the important issues of life. And it affirmatively declares that Without the Death Penalty there is no Justice.
