HILLARY CHUTZPAH
May 4, 2005 NewsWithViews.com Sen. Hillary Clintons latest spin on Korea reminds me of the story about the guy who had murdered his mother and father and asked for mercy because he was an orphan. You have to concede that the wicked witch of the east sets new standards for hypocrisy, chutzpah, and an inherent ability to ignore any and all facts that contradict her preconceived opinions, prejudices and revisionist history. This gal has big titanium political cojones! Pray that proves insufficient to propel her on her dream quest. Notwithstanding overwhelming historical, documented facts in evidence, Lady Macbeth dares to blame President Bush for the North Korean capacity to hit the U.S. with nukes. Upon hearing Admiral Lowell Jacoby testify before the Senate Armed Services Committee that North Korea could hit CONUS with a nuke, she said, They couldnt do that when George Bush became president, and now they can. What she DOESNT say is the catalyst for the enhanced No. Korean capabilities are a direct function of the co-presidency of Bill & Hill. In October of 2002 I wrote Korean Konsequences And observed former President Bill Clinton was a foreign policy disaster. The consequences of his geopolitical myopia and epic penchant for doing exactly the wrong thing are personified in the recent acknowledgement of North Korea. (that acknowledgement referenced was Hey we lied! We have, can, and will build and deploy nukes) According to congressional reports, "The U.S.-funded light water reactors in North Korea will accumulate plutonium in spent fuel at the rate of about 17,300 ounces per year, enough to produce 65 nuclear bombs a year." Hell-o! Those light water reactors were U.S.-funded. That anticipated and feared capacity (which Krazy Kim did NOT have) was gifted to him by BILL CLINTON. In 1994 Clinton-Gore earmarked aid primarily for the construction of nuclear reactors worth up to $6 billion. Clinton gave more foreign aid to North Korea than to any other country in the Asian-Pacific region. THIS is supposed to be the smartest women in American politics? THIS Blame Bush spin is monumental brain flatulence of epic proportions. The LAST thing Hillary ought to be drawing attention to regarding North Korea is the incompetent malfeasance of the Clinton administration. Perhaps next, in her reinvention, Hillary wants to gripe about the enhanced Chicom satellite capabilities and how NOW China is ten years ahead of where they would be because Bush is president. Of course she may be loath to acknowledge that the greatly accelerated Chicom satellite capability is a direction function of the Clinton administration. The Clinton administration was complicit in aiding and abetting North Korea, Communist China, Iran, AND Russia. A smart pol avoids (even runs from) any focus on their past sins and subsequent consequences. Who is advising herKarl Rove? The Ambrose Bierce line. The hardest tumble a man(woman) can make is to fall over his(her) own bluff. Seems particularly appropriate. It was the House North Korea Advisory Group that warned, "If the [Clinton administration's] 1994 Agreed Framework is implemented and two [U.S. Light Water Reactors] are eventually built and operated in North Korea, the reactors could produce close to 500 kilograms of plutonium in spent reactor fuel each year; enough for nearly 100 bombs annually if North Korea decides to break its obligations and reprocess the material." The advisory group warned (prior to the reality) that North Korea would be able to hit the U.S. with ICBMs. They didnt blame any subsequent administration for inheriting the tragic results of whacked bad decisions, they blamed the Clinton administration for facilitating Pyongyangs progress. So now that the predictions have been confirmed, Hillary has her panties in a wad and bemoans, "The first confirmation, publicly, by the administration that the North Koreans have the ability to arm a missile with a nuclear device that can reach the United States." Duh!?!? Hillarys chutzpah in blaming Bush for the Korean threat is (to paraphrase a P.J. ORourkeism) like giving whiskey and car keys to a teenage boy and then articulating shock and dismay over the inevitable negative consequences. If you do a google search of books about Hillary Clinton you get 679,000 hits. There are stroke books, hit books, good books and bad books. Dick Morris, Peggy Noon, Barbara Olson, Christopher Andersen, Carl Limbacher and a battalion of others have picked, probed and eviscerated Hillary. The Case Against Hillary Clinton by Peggy Noonan Hell to Pay: The Unfolding Story of Hillary Rodman Clinton by Barbara Olson American Evita: Hillary Clinton's Path to Power by Christopher Andersen Despite significant documentation that she is a mean spirited, petty, bad person the mainstream media continues to offer her cover, protection, and accommodation as she conspires to craft revisionist history. The consequences of ignoring this political cancer are potentially horrific. However, to continue the fiction she is a smart politician is counter-intuitive. North Korea is a real and imminent threat to our national security not because of the current administration, but rather, a direct function of the malfeasance, corruption and incompetence of the Clinton administration.
