The Colin Kaepernick Caper: Undermining America

As Colin Kapernick’s quest to destroy-embarrass America intensifies by his teammates and other teams taking a knee during the National Anthem—we need to take a second look at his actions and the actions of other black members of the NFL.

The one aspect of our Constitutional Republic remains:  individual voice and individual choice.  Each African-American enjoys the choice to live in America.  Each European-American enjoys the same choice.

But if you look at the football players kneeling and overwhelming statistics for African-American choices in America, a different picture emerges.

Because of choices under Old Glory and the U.S. Constitution, African-American men impregnate women to the tune of 7 out of 10 black children face life out of wedlock in a single parent home, and, living on welfare.  The fathers disappear into the mist.

While the tiniest of number of cop killings of African-Americans creates a media frenzy and black indignation, 6,100 blacks kill 6,100 blacks, on average, annually in the USA.   Black on white crime stands at 10 to 1.  Why did Detroit, Michigan lose 1,000,000 white people in the past 20 years?  Those whites fled the black violence in the Motor City.   Virtually 90 percent of violent crime in Chicago stems from black on black violence.   Few NFL black players take any actions with their time, stature or money to change those figures.

While blacks dominate 70 percent of the NFL, their numbers also dominate domestic abuse statistics with wife beating, killings,  rape, speeding, drinking while driving and more.

In his recent column Daily Wire journalist Joseph Curl, 9/25/17, said, “The National Football League is in a golden age right now: It’s been 23 days since one of its players has been arrested.

“The average time between arrests is just seven days, while the record without an arrest is slightly more than two months, at 65 days, according to NFLarrest.com, which “provides an interactive visualized database of National Football League player Arrests & Charges.”

Players get arrested for a variety of crimes: drunk driving, drug offenses, domestic violence, assault and battery, gun violations, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, theft, burglary, rape and  murder.

“The NFL virtually embraces players who abuse women,” said Curl. “Take this report in the Chicago Tribune: “In the first round [of the 2017 draft], the Oakland Raiders drafted Gareon Conley, who has been accused of rape. In the second round, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Joe Mixon, who in a much-viewed video punches a woman so hard that she falls down unconscious. In the sixth round, the Cleveland Browns selected Caleb Brantley, who was accused of doing pretty much what Mixon did.”

The quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced multiple rape charges throughout his college years.  But because of his ability to throw a football, Jameis Winston, at Florida State, skipped or avoided any legal consequences because of big money.

Colin Kaepernick, also born out of wedlock with a black father and white mother, faced life without parents until a Caucasian couple adopted and raised him.

Little known about who pushes him to disrespect the American flag, his Moslem girlfriend Nessa Diab influences him compellingly with Islamic teachings.  Those teachings and the Quran diametrically oppose the U.S. Constitution and the American flag.

Gavin Kirk, citizen journalist, said, “Diab is part of the Social Justice Warriors group that always spouts off on how “Racist” White Americans are.”

Yet, little known in America, black poverty stems from black illiteracy rates where 30 and as high as 50 percent of black students drop out or flunk out of high school.  Ten years ago, Brian Williams at NBC noted that 78 percent of Detroit, Michigan high school students dropped out.  Detroit schools house 90 percent black students. Instead of dishonoring the flag, Kaepernick might choose to take his energy into bringing teachers and literacy back into inner city schools.

The quarterback has defended his decision to sit or kneel, which he says shows his support for the Black Lives Matter movement.  Unfortunately, BLM chants methodically to kill cops during its marches. If anyone follows BLM or supports that group, they support anarchy in America.  Kaepernick’s actions show he stands against law and order in America.

‘I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,’ Kaepernick said.

For the record, statistics of oppression of black people in America do not validate Kaepernick’s assumptions.

At this point in his life, he enjoys multimillionaire status, but his chances in the National Football League died with his girlfriend Diab comparing Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti to a slave master and Ray Lewis to a senior house slave on Twitter.

At the end of this torpid affair, Colin Kaepernick created a huge national conflict, un-needed and unwarranted, because of his quarterback football status.   Whether his Moslem girlfriend pushed him into it or his idealism and zealousness, the future holds his cards in hand.

At no time should any American citizen with all the gripes in the world, dishonor the American flag.   That one symbol allows free speech not enjoyed in all of Africa, China, North Korea and dozens of totalitarian countries worldwide.

If you’re going to protest a social wrong in America, use your stature to interview on 60 Minutes, NPR, Charlie Rose at PBS and other responsible media outlets.  Instead of dishonoring a flag that so many men and women perished to give you such incredible freedoms of expression—create a foundation, organization and calling to action of “people of all colors” to take action change America for the better.

Finally, get down on both your knees and thank God for your good fortune to live, work and play in America.  Billions of people would love to trade places with you from around the world.
