What is Wrong With America?

I hear this question all the time, “What is wrong with America?”  Anyone with any sense of spiritual discernment knows exactly what is wrong with America.  “We have forgotten God in this nation.”  Oh, we are religious and we fill the churches with people but we ignore this idea that we have forgotten God and choose instead to blame others for our spiritual demise – it’s Obama, it’s Hillary, it’s the Democrats or Rino Republicans, it’s the schools, it’s the government and on and on.  We refuse to look at ourselves and repent of our wickedness and evil religious ways.

We are in this spiritual mess because we have forgotten God and we have allowed the Marxists to capture our nation because we are refusing to resist the many ways they are changing our nation from the ways of God to the ways of Marxism.  God will not hold us guiltless for our disobedience!!!!

Today we are witnessing the consequences that come to a nation that has forgotten God.  Our fruit in religious America today is apathy, violence, greed, sexual immorality, lies, idolatry, strife, jealousy, anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, drugs, divorce, rebellious children, debt, sickness, disease, hate, intolerance, bondage, frustration, unforgiveness, emptiness, and suicide rather than the fruit of the Holy Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, fullness, mercy, gentleness and self-control.

Today throughout America we have allowed this worldly, demonic mindset of Marxism to develop that man is basically good and all he needs is the proper environment and breaks to become a better person.  But this is not what God says.  God says that man is born in sin and is inherently evil.  Man left without ‘restrainers” and a moral compass will quickly use his evil ways against his fellow man.  God says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

That’s you, that is me, and that is the whole human race.  “There are none that do good; no not one.” (Romans 3:12)   The Apostle Paul says in Romans 7:18, “I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.”  So, right now in America, we have forgotten God and we no longer have the “restrainers” we once had in this nation.  The goal of the Marxists in America is for us to forget God and remove Christianity because they know what man will do if left to his sinful devices and if he is allowed to continue without restraints, America as we know it will be destroyed!!!

So, what are the restrainers we have lost in America?  The first is God.  God is a restrainer.  God sent His Son, Jesus to die on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and to change our lives from evil to righteousness.  The salvation of God saves us from ourselves by giving us a new divine nature to restrain our old Adamic nature controlled by Satan.  God is a personal God, we can know Him, He has laws and precepts, and He holds us accountable to His laws and precepts.

But when we lose the fear of God in a nation, when we forsake Him, we lose the restraints of God and a nation quickly descends into evil, lawlessness, and immorality.  What is wrong with America?  Men are evil, and we have no restrainer of evil in this nation because we no longer obey God and his ways.

The second restrainer we have lost in America is the home.  God’s definition of the home is the place where dad, mom, and the children – called the family – live and function together.  A home is a place of love, a place of instruction, and a place of discipline.  Great families make a nation great.  America once had a great family structure.  When the family structure is destroyed in a nation, then that nation quickly falls into disarray and decay.  Marriage is the bedrock of the family.  But in America, marriage and the family are being destroyed because of divorce.   God frames marriage in a life time to allow one or the other to change their ways.  Except for adultery, God has no such thing as “no fault” divorce.

The family is a place of love.  God desires the wife to be subject to your own husband and the husband to be head of the wife. (Ephesians 5:22)   We are to love our wives as much as Christ loves the church. (Ephesians 5:25) and husbands are to live with their wives in an understanding way and grant her honor so that your prayers may not be hindered (1 Peter 3:7).   Fathers are to ensure they do not provoke their children to anger but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).  Children obey your parents and honor your father and mother and the promise for children that it may go well for you and that you may live long on this earth. (Ephesians 6:1-3)

As 1 Peter 3:8-9 says, “To sum up, let all be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit, not returning evil for evil or insult for insult but giving a blessing instead.”  Today in America the family structure is splintered because of divorce, neglect, selfishness, and disobedience to God.  Too many husbands and wives are out of God’s order in the family.  Too many parents no longer instruct their children in the home and no longer discipline their spoiled and rebellious children.

Children need direction, a moral compass, and restraint by disciplining.  “The rod and reproof give wisdom, but the child who gets his own way brings shame to his mother.” (Proverb 29:15).  “He who spares the rod hates his son but he who loves him disciplines him diligently.” (Proverbs 13:24).  “HATH GOD REALLY SAID?”  America has fallen into decay because our families are not living up to God’s standards for the family.  What is wrong with America?  We are no longer producing enough good families in this nation that stay together and live out the ways of God.    Children are destroyed because of divorce!!!!

The third restrainer we have lost in America is the government.  Because of the family destruction and because we are no longer are making true disciples of Christ, this nation is in direct disobedience to the God who institutes government authority.  As Romans 13:1 says, “Let every person be in subject to the governing authority.  For there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God.”

The Book of Romans also says in Romans 13:4, “That government is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil.”  Boy, with our Justice Department and all the crimes committed in this nation, America is a disgrace to the God and Founders who established our government because too many of our citizens and guests in our nation are in open rebellion to God and His authority.

 God is not soft on sin and evil.  We must have leaders who will change priorities and lead our government back to be a restrainer of evil and lawlessness.  The wall does not matter; trade does not matter if we do not have a restrainer of evil and lawlessness.  Today our government is demonstrating there are no limits in government and no rules to be obeyed.  Our courts promote evil, our public schools promote evil, and our governments, state and federal, promote evil but government is to be an instrument of God to execute restraint and wrath on those who promote evil and lawlessness.

As a Republic, we shall all be held responsible for what happens in our nation more than any nation in history because of our blessings of God.   We all must get our government back to be a restrainer of evil and lawlessness.  Rome was destroyed from the outside by invading armies but America is being destroyed from within by her own citizens because the Body of Christ in America refuses to resist the evil overtaking this nation!!!  This is a serious judgment of God on any nation.

If we don’t change our ways, as Jesus said to the nations in Matthew 10:15 and it can be applied to America, that it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for America because of all the miracles and blessings performed in America.  What is wrong with America?  Our government promotes the very things it has been commissioned to restrain – evil and lawlessness.

The fourth restrainer we have lost in America is the church.  There was a time in this nation when the Body of Christ was a restrainer of evil and lawlessness.  We restrained sexual content and evil ideology in our movies and media.  Our pulpits preached against sin and warned us of the dangers of evil and lawlessness.  We dealt with the issues before us being a restraint against evil.  The church of old in this nation lifted up a standard, provided a moral compass, and resisted evil.

But the modern church in America can no longer be counted on to be a restrainer of evil and lawlessness.  We have forsaken God.  Our pulpits are dead, saying smooth words and the men behind those pulpits are basically cowards and hirelings, with a few exceptions.  We no longer live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.  In fact, we are blatantly disobedient to the Word of God and we no longer depend on the Holy Spirit to guide us to all truth.

We no longer resist evil having allowed the Marxists to bring evil and lawlessness to overtake this nation. In the last few years, the Marxist have made more disciples of Marxism than our churches and have changed this nation with their disciples.  We no longer are making disciples of Jesus Christ and training God’s People so we remain ineffective to our nation.  We make disciples of our religious systems and not those who follow and obey Jesus Christ!!!

The Body of Christ is so full of pride and arrogance as evidence by our boasting in our vast numbers that listen to us on our campuses, internet, radio, and television.  We boast about how much we are helping God out while God’s People are being led astray and drifting into fleshly, worldly, and demonic ways.  As a result, we are stuck in misery, deception, and division.

If we don’t repent of our religious, wicked, fleshly, worldly, and demonic ways and return to the Lord Jesus Christ in total absolute obedience, commitment, submission, faithfulness, and total allegiance to our King in this nation, our epitaph will surely read, “For My people are foolish, they know Me not; they are stupid children, and they have no understanding.  They are shrewd to do evil, but to do good they do not know.” (Jeremiah 4:22)

 What is wrong with America?  Our churches have become carnal, fleshly, worldly, and demonic so that we are ineffective to do the works of Jesus Christ and bring forth His fruit.  Our nation is in great peril and we will continue to have countless days of God’s judgments if we don’t repent and recognize our current days of God’s grace and mercy and return to the LORD Jesus Christ.  Surely you realize that the Marxists are in our churches, in our culture, in our Congress and government and in our boardrooms and our corporations.  I warn you this   nation will not survive unless we resist this Marxist onslaught against us!!!  God bless, I remain His warrior and watchman, Glynn Adams
