TAKING OUR NATION BACK
Pastor Roger Anghis

By the time you read this the election will be 2 days away. Many will have already voted but the information is worth saving and reading again in 2016. One thing that most people don't look at is their vote or their lack of voting doesn't only effect them. It effects everybody! The 30% of evangelicals that didn't vote in the last presidential have forced all Americans into not just hard times economically, but spiritually as well. Some people are either too lazy to vote or don't think that it is worth it. On my radio program, The American Intelligence Briefing Hour on www.crusaderadio.com, @ 5:00 pm MDT on Tuesdays, I had J.B. Williams on and we were discussing a column he wrote called WHY EVERY AMERICAN MUST VOTE. The biggest point he made in that whole article, which can be found on NewWithViews.com, is that anti-Americans will be voting and non-Americans will be voting. That alone should wake up people enough to get out there and vote. Here's another reason, in 23 States there were 6.9 million voters registered in more than one State! That was only in 23 States. How about the remaining 27 States? How many dead people are voting? Eric Holder has fought every State that has voter ID. Since 2009 virtually all illegal immigrants have been given voter registration forms, shipped off to States that don't have voter ID laws and told that if they vote Republican they will be arrested and deported. How many more reasons do we need to go to the polls and do all we can to save our nation. Daniel Webster stated: "I apprehend no danger to our country from a foreign foe... Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter. From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence, I must confess that I do apprehend some danger." This is precisely where we are.
Because we have failed to pay attention to who we put into office we now have a government that has essentially become an enemy to the people. If you don't think so what about the IRS scandal that targeted conservatives in the last election? How about the NSA that monitors every form of communication that we have, text, email, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all other social media and out phone calls. Our 4th Amendment states: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, and shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized. Every man, woman and child in the United States has had their 4th Amendment rights violated, daily because we have an administration that ignores our Constitutional rights. Nixon was impeached in the House and if he hadn't resigned would have been impeached by the Senate for covering up the wiretapping of one office. This administration has wiretapped every person in America and nobody does anything. In 2012 Congress had a 9% approval rating yet we returned 90% of them back to D.C. We don't have a problem with who we send to D.C. We have a problem with the people who are sending the people to D.C.
God is waiting for the church to move. God can't do anything unless the church gets active. For far too long the church has been silent in the political arena to its detriment. Now is the time for the church to wake up and do something. Look at it this way, if you own a home you take care of that home. You paint it when it needs painting, fix the plumbing if a pipe breaks, replace a broken window, etc. Well, we own this country and voting the proper people into office keeps the nation in good working order. Why have we ignored this most important aspect of our nation?
A lot of people believe that God puts into office whom He wants. There is some truth to that but at the same time you have to realize that God has given us a free will and He has given authority over the earth to man and He can't anything He wants. Remember that the people demanded a king. God didn't want them to have a king, He wanted them to depend on Him. He gave them a king. He wants us to place godly men and women in places of authority, but we don't. God doesn't want a lesbian to be the mayor of Houston but that's who the people put in. God doesn't want laws that make it illegal to live by His principles like they have in San Antonio, but the people they elected established those laws. New York City has a mayor that is an avowed communist. God doesn't want New York to be governed by a godless man. I hope you see where I'm going with this.
God gave us an outline in the 13th chapter of Romans: Romams 13:1 "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. (2) Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. (3) For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: (4) For he is the minister of God to thee for good.
But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." What we have done is we have gone away from the type of person that is a terror to evil and put men and women in office that are a terror to good! There is only one reason for this and that is the pulpit has stopped raising up the people that should be put into places of authority.
The mandate from God was Exodus 18:20 "And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do. (21) Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:" This is the type of person we are to put into office. It is this type of person that God can work with. He can't work with a lesbian or an avowed communist. We have some good people running for office this cycle. Help them get in. Support them when they get in and see to it that there are more in the wings to follow them. Political office isn't supposed to be a carrier. Pray that God will lead those in authority and that those in authority will listen to and obey God.
Some may think I'm calling for a theocracy, I'm not. I'm just wanting to get back to how the Founders designed our political system which was the way God designed it. It won't be done over night but we have to take that first step. It's now or never and may God be with us.
All scripture is King James Version unless otherwise noted.
