THE PATH TO UNDERSTANDING

Continuing Republican Betrayal
We have observed over the past several weeks how the Republicans, especially the leadership, and maybe even most of the members, have aligned themselves with Obama in his goal to “Fundamentally Transform America” by supporting his so-called “free trade” agenda which consists of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). [Link]
At the present time, Obama and his traitorous Republican alliance is attempting to push through the legislature, a Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) provision called “Fast Track Authority.” This would enable the President to get these proposals passed with a simple up or down vote, i.e., yes, or no.
This, of course, would mean proceedings with limited debate and no amendments, which would prevent disclosure of many provisions in the secretly negotiated, so-called “free trade” proposals consisting of some 2000 pages only in the Trans-Pacific Partnership. It stands to reason that this is why so much effort and deceit has come about to pass the “Fast Track Authority,” so that these proposals can be passed with the contents remaining unknown. However, a recent leak reveals evidence that there are possibly many sinister provisions that remain hidden which the supporters of the “trade agenda” purposely desire to remain undisclosed.
An article, Leaked Obama "Trade" Pact Exposes Assault on Self Government, published in the New American Magazine, April 23, by Alex Newman, sheds light on this:
According to the article, “As establishment Republicans join forces with the Obama Administration to ram through a series of sweeping pseudo-“free trade” agreements with the European Union, critics are up in arms over various leaked provisions that would all but crush the principles of self-government. Especially alarming to opponents is the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, or TTIP, which, among other concerns, would limit the ability of voters and their elected representatives to enact laws interfering with the agenda of Big Business and Big Government. Another agreement being pursued in tandem, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, or TPP, would do the same, allowing unelected and unaccountable transnational bureaucrats to develop ‘harmonized’ regulatory regimes for the bloc purporting to supersede federal and state laws. Critics from across the political spectrum say the plot must be stopped.”
Let's take a look at what "unelected" and unaccountable bureaucrats means...
In the Communist Daily World of November 8, 1975, it carried a very interesting article entitled, "Planning is Socialism's Trademark," by Morris Zeitlin. The Daily World was the newspaper of the Communist Party USA, and was formerly known as The Daily Worker which was founded in 1924. The importance of this article lies in its blatant admission that regionalism, which is gradually becoming the accepted method of unelected governance in the United States (unelected councils and task forces, participatory democracy, public-private partnerships, etc.) is the form of government used in democratic socialist and communist countries.
The entire article by Zeitlin is on page 134 in Charlotte Iserbyt's book, The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, and is on her website in pdf download. Planning and a "planned economy" is socialism's trademark. Think too, of United Nations Agenda 21!
For our elected representatives to even consider agreeing to such a proposal epitomizes an approach to both betrayal and treason. In short, it equates with the officials of a country submitting to a take-over of their country and simply letting the invaders have full sway without any resistance whatsoever. It is hard to even imagine such compliance by those we have put in trust to secure our liberties as well as our lives, for we know not how far reaching the hidden things will extend once they are enacted.
The article of reference points out that the “negotiations on the controversial “free trade” deals – more properly, described as managed or corporatist trade, have taken place almost entirely in the shadows. In fact, even the American people’s representatives in Congress have been out of the loop, (excluded, i.e., kept in the dark) as the Obama Administration hammers out the agreements with foreign governments, dictatorships, supranational bodies, and crony special interests.
However, a series of explosive leaks surrounding both the TPP and the TTIP have confirmed the critics worst fears about the real agenda, from setting up international kangaroo courts with purported powers to override national sovereignty for the benefit of crony corporations to laying the groundwork for further economic and political integration. The information that has emerged so far is sparking public outrage in all the nations being targeted by the schemes.
This same article reveals that following a series of protests across Europe against the plan, fresh leaks surrounding the sought-after TTIP regime resulted in yet another uproar. Even with texts of the latest TTIP chapter being deliberately written in opaque language, it reveals a transparent agenda to empower supranational bureaucracies and Big Business at the expense of self-government and national sovereignty.
The chapter focuses on “Regulatory Cooperation.” Here, the article points out, that “Cooperation though, is a major understatement as the document also makes clear that divergent regulatory requirement must be reduced in the name of compatibility and more. In other words, the E.U. and the United States must operate under a harmonized regulatory regime beyond the reach of pesky citizens or elected officials.”
All this is only a sliver of the tip of the iceberg of what is being plotted and planned for us. The article of reference goes much deeper. Those interested need to log on to the newamericanmagazine.com/leaked Obama “trade” pact exposes assault on self-government. We need to get this out to as many as possible. Call, and/or write your Congressman and Senators, we need a veritable uprising sending our comments to our legislators. So, let’s get at it or we will lose our sovereignty, and slavery will result.
