AMERICA'S
UMBRELLA-LESS PUBLIC SCHOOLS

In the early 1960s, Traveler’s Insurance Company revived the use of its signature red umbrella for its advertisement logo. The red umbrella represents protection from auto, home, and business casualties. However, regrettably, in the early 1960s, another symbolically protective umbrella that hovered over America’s pubic schools for protection was removed by the United States Supreme Court with the support of the Executive and Legislative Branches. This protective umbrella was Bible-reading and prayer, which was a daily routine for all public school students. But, unfortunately, most Americans have no knowledge of this protective umbrella, since Bible-reading and prayer have been collectively absent from public schools since the early 1960s.
Now, fifty years later, America’s godless, secular humanist-controlled, umbrella-less public schools have become death traps for innocent boys and girls who just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time when satanically-controlled students and non-students enter public schools hell bent on shedding blood for their god of death. As a result, over 120 school shootings have taken place since 1966 with the latest occurring in Newtown, Connecticut. During this time period, over 270 students and adults have been killed. Of course, many American citizens and the federal government would pass it off as the work of mentally-deranged individuals who were able to easily obtain hand guns and rifles. Needless to say, anyone who goes into a public school and attempts to kill as many students and adults as possible would be mentally-deranged. But, the main problem that remains now is how to prevent any future public school shootings.
Unfortunately, at present, President Obama and the federal government see the solution as political in nature. In fact, at the interfaith prayer vigil memorial service in Newtown, Connecticut on December 16, President Obama said,
We can't tolerate this anymore. These tragedies must end. And to end them, we must change. We will be told that the causes of such violence are complex, and that is true. No single law — no set of laws can eliminate evil from the world, or prevent every senseless act of violence in our society.
But that can't be an excuse for inaction. Surely, we can do better than this. If there is even one step we can take to save another child, or another parent, or another town, from the grief that has visited Tucson, and Aurora, and Oak Creek, and Newtown, and communities from Columbine to Blacksburg before that — then surely we have an obligation to try.
In the coming weeks, I will use whatever power this office holds to engage my fellow citizens — from law enforcement to mental health professionals to parents and educators — in an effort aimed at preventing more tragedies like this. Because what choice do we have? We can't accept events like this as routine. Are we really prepared to say that we're powerless in the face of such carnage, that the politics are too hard? Are we prepared to say that such violence visited on our children year after year after year is somehow the price of our freedom?
However, any political solutions, such as stricter gun control or concentrated efforts by law enforcement agencies, mental health professionals, parents, and educators, would not prevent any future shootings in America’s public schools. The only workable solution to eliminate future public school shootings must be spiritual in nature. In essence, the change that President Obama mentioned that needed to happen to prevent future shootings would be to return to the days prior to the 1963 Supreme Court case of Abington v. Schempp (June 17, 1963), which removed Bible readings from public education. Prior to the removal of Bible reading from public schools, murder was not a notable routine happening. The main problems in public schools then were:
1.
Talking
2. Chewing Gum
3. Making Noise
4. Getting Out of Turn in Line
5. Wearing Improper Clothing
6. Not Putting Paper in the Wastebasket (According to
the Scriptures.com)
Now, in the post-1963 era, the main problems in public schools are:
1.
Rape
2. Robbery
3. Assault
4. Gang Warfare
5. Pregnancies
6. Venereal Disease
7. Murder
8. Suicide
9. Vandalism
10. Drug Abuse (According to the Scriptures.com)
Therefore, let the facts speak for themselves, it is definitely time to return Bible reading and prayer on a daily basis to America’s public schools. Also, the Ten Commandments should once again find its rightful place on the public school classroom wall, especially since it explicitly states that murder, stealing, and lying are sins unto God the Creator. Then, students would once again have their eyes and minds filled on a daily basis with purer and holier thoughts and images instead of the ungodly, immoral junk that they hear and see daily in the public education arena. As a result, students would have a different mindset that drives them. Ultimately, the post-1963, immoral subculture that exists in public schools today would change back to a subculture whose foundation would be based on the Ten Commandments and the Word of God. Hence, Satan’s main tenets of chaos and death would be replaced with Jesus Christ’s main tenets of peace and life.
Of course, the atheistic, secular humanists who control America’s public schools today would deny that the return of the Bible and prayer to public schools as part of America’s Judeo-Christian heritage would make any difference. Instead, they would argue that the absence of the Lord God Jehovah and His protective, spiritual umbrella covering did not have anything to do with the less serious school problems that existed prior to 1963 in America’s public schools. But, if America’s public schools are ever to be truly safe and truly successful again, President Obama needs to accept the following challenge and to return America’s public schools to the daily routine of the pre-1963 era and “Behold the Wonders of the Lord God Jehovah.”
Ultimately, what challenge should President Obama accept? The challenge that needs to be accepted is similar to the one that took place in ancient Israel. This challenge was recorded in the Holy Bible in I Kings 18, verses 19-39. The main characters were: Ahab, the ruler; Jezebel, Ahab’s wife; Elijah, the Lord God Jehovah’s prophet; the 450 prophets of the idol god Baal; and the 400 prophets of the groves. The challenge itself, as stated in I Kings 18:19-24, was as follows:
19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto Mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table.
20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto Mount Carmel.
21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the Lord; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:
24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.
Therefore, as indicative of these scriptures from I Kings 18: 19-24, the people of Israel under Ahab and Jezebel’s leadership had turned their backs on the Lord God Jehovah again and worshipped the idol god Baal. As a result, God sent Elijah to attempt to get the people of Israel to return to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In doing so, Elijah gave the inhabitants of Israel a challenge. Basically, the challenge required the sacrifice of a bullock by Elijah to his God, the Lord God Jehovah, and the sacrifice of a bullock by the 450 prophets of Baal to their idol god. Ultimately, the catch to the challenge was that the god that set the sacrifice on fire would be victorious and the people of Israel would worship that god.
Of course, there were specific procedures that must be followed by Elijah and the prophets of Baal in order to fulfill the requirements of the challenge. The procedures, as stated in I Kings 18:25-39, were:
25And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.
26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.
27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.
28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.
29 And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.
30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.
31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:
32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.
34 And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.
35 And
the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with
water.
36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice,
that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac,
and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and
that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.

Ultimately, the Lord God Jehovah, the God of Christianity and Judaism, won the challenge with the secular humanist gods of Baal and the people of Israel returned to the worship of the victorious God of their patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Of course, there are two main lessons learned from this challenge. First, regardless of the situation, those nations whose God is the Lord God Jehovah would always be victorious against its foes. Second, those nations whose God is the Lord God Jehovah would ensure that safe learning environments would exist in that nation’s public schools and that well-educated, successful, and God-fearing students would live to graduate from America’s public schools.
