IT'S GOOD TO BE THE KING

Its good to be the King,
Sitting up on high,
Not meat, nor bread, nor gasoline,
Does His Majesty buy.

His worries may seem many,
But really they are not.
You see its others near him,
Who scheme and plan and plot.

He just nods and smiles,
Hes a simple man, you see.
His delusion makes him truly think
Hell be loved by history

Lets build another nation,
While at home we yell Alert.
And one day soon Ill wave goodbye,
Let others clean my dirt.

The King thinks things are peachy,
That riches overflowed.
True for all his Lords and Ladies,
But not for those foreclosed.

And every day crude oil rises,
Its the only thing thats certain.
The King just grins his silly grin,
Cause theyre happy at Halliburton.

The King is told that hes the law,
Whats written means not a thing.
Its all bets off, and strap em down,
So even the innocent sing.

Alberto tells lies and Scooter denies,
The King again grins and nods.
The truth and such dont really mean much,
Except for the poor working clods.

And when he doesnt get his way
He becomes the petulant bully.
If one still cared a single whit
Theyd say he looked rather silly.

So we hold our breath til 1/20/09,
That day the bells will ring.
Well dance and sing and weep with joy,
Then pray we dont get another king.
