Traditions have a terrible, distinctive hold over you: the guilt you feel for not practising them is really only the guilt that you acquired while you were. As the alcoholic feels better when he drinks, so do we mostly go to church to forget the guilt of having gone to church? All that we improve is the image we have of ourselves, while we give power to breweries, witch doctors and high priests. Because of this, we live longer and become wronger. This only increases our need for our soothing church, mind dulling music and drink, etc. Be careful that you do not misinterpret the guilt you feel as due to your not being loyal enough to your creed. Guilts "cured" this way have one thing in common: they make your ego feel right without having to face what is wrong with you.

If you want to be free from guilt completely, you must no longer look to tradition, nor must you be tempted to resent what harm it has done to you in pretending to save you. You must simply bear the pain of seeing your errors come to light in the awareness of each moment from now on. You must realize that such religion or culture could not have gone so far with you, had you not some compatible ego larceny that played along with it.

Spaceship Earth: Destined for Destruction

A tremendous amount of energy is wasted in just dealing with the symptoms of our collective egotism. Survival for most people entails more the preservation of their selfish pride than mere physical existence. Everything we do based on race consciousness becomes destructive and vain. We would never need to struggle with nature or each other were we to find the original and true state of being. But because we labour to secure and uphold our fallen identity, we are obliged to knock down others to build ourselves up--and so we remain grounded on spaceship Earth, destined for the holocaust that is the fate of all who tread the footsteps of vanity.

When pride is sustained, salvation is excluded.

Through the pecking order of evil, the Earth is devitalized, its people degrading and ravaging each other constantly. "Progress" is not advancement at all but a mere illusion, fashioned at the expense of others and from earthly carnal vitalities that substitute for what we lose in spirit. Now the mere existence of (egotistical) man on the Earth threatens it with destruction.

How could this be if man were purely native to nature like all other animals. All the creatures of the earth, without exception, complement and contribute to nature by their mere existence. Man, the only animal with a conscience for' being one (animal), is alien to earth and self, in "trying to make something great of himself" -- and ends up destroying the earth's beauty and poisoning the land and sea. How could nature have produced an ugly monster so destructive and opposed to her designs as is man? (You see I do not see men as men see themselves.)

Surely this is more evidence demonstrating that we are fallen beings, unnaturally natural, with evil the author behind the scenes of all this chaos and confusion.

The Solution? More Gracious People

The solution to war, famine, disease and futility is not more and better science but better and more gracious people. The closer people draw to God's (inner) grace, the less subject they are to temptation, wrong leadership, and disease; the less needful they are of their phony problem solvers and useless material gadgets; and the more tender and considerate they become towards one another, and all living things. The total effect on the world would be the subduing of nature and other people by such grace, because both people and natural things recognize the authority of grace intuitively and tend to respond respectfully by instinct (and become subdued).

Because the problems of the world originally evolved from man and woman, the centre of the world revolution must be the family. With grace, man must learn to subdue the temptation in his wife to reverse the present chaotic order of authority--with God at the head of Christ, Christ at the head of man, man at the head of woman and woman at the head of the child. A new order of respect shall arise, and not cause rebellion or conformity to the wrong sequence of pride and its cruel devastating ruler.

The Wrong Order Revisited

Let me remind you once again of the wrong order.

Evil has tempted woman to tempt man to be ambitious, to ravage the Earth of its "life," knowledge and power, which is essentially passed back through the sequence, and controlled by men of evil intent. So men have become slaves of tyrants, machines, science, medicine, yes even music and the arts! For even these are used to lull to sleep and control the minds of men.

Music gains ascendancy over the mind in the usual way, by occupying the attention and pulling it away from its conflict, to produce the relief which we call pleasure. The reason music can do this well is because it lends itself so well to the glorification of our pride. We feel like a King glorified by the praises of his angels. Each ego feels that the music is played for its benefit alone.

What happens is the classic loss of identity, the degradation of the victim, and resulting greater need for "music appreciation," to distract and smooth over what has happened. The hypnotic power of music can be so great as to merge the soul of the victim with the music, taking him completely out of himself, so that he can appear to undergo what seems to be something similar to a mystical "religious" experience. The soul can think that it has become pure spirit--while the vacated body is vulnerable to possession by malevolent forces, even disembodied spirits. Many people fascinated by music are "not home." It is as though an old wine (spirit) had been put into a new bottle (vessel). Drugs have much the same effect! They make the mind dull through over-stimulation, and drain the body of its energies.

Forces Controlling The Masses

There are subtle forces on Earth that have already claimed the minds and bodies of legions of human beings, just as they have done in the past--which explains the evils of human history, but today it is on a more grandiose scale. We do not war with flesh and blood, you see, but with demonic principalities and powers operating through fallen flesh, from their secret abode. This is why it is so imperative that you understand the nature of your own pride, and not be caught up any more with false salvations, worldly teachings, dogma, materialism and pleasure.

Give more of your attention to spiritual matters, such as the conquest of resentment and anger; give up the inordinate craving for things that dull the mind into false feelings of security, for acceptance and recognition. The devil will give you recognition -- for a price! Your very soul hangs in the balance when you seek both power and recognition.

Be careful not to resent those misguided people caught fast in the social web of deceit, lest your resentment towards them cause you to fall even further from the command that we love one another. Don't covet or be jealous of people in high places or positions of power and affluence, who seem important, happy and content. They are not! You see only the veneer, the surface appearance of things, and not the core-reality of their real suffering, masked by the compensations that please them, and which only appear to your eyes as happiness. To resent the sinner is to be tempted to be more of a sinner, so that what has made the sinner a sinner prepares a home in you for itself. To covet is the same whether it involves fame and fortune, or simply your neighbour’s wife, husband, or a new dishwasher!

If you were properly centered, you would be fulfilled. Being fulfilled, you would not need or be compatible with the artificial materialistic and cultural opiates that uplift the spirit. In your dejected (sullen) ego frame of mind, that is just what you have been seeking: something or someone who will recognize you and put you back on your "throne," in doing so, giving you a sense of importance and authority; through such as these you have always been falling and losing stature.

Seeing Evil Outlined

So seek the Grace that shows all evils for what they are. Then observe evils and hypocrisies, but don't be tempted to resent them.

What moves people to hurt you is the spirit that moves through them, to lead you, a spirit that they think of as their own true selves. Because of pride of ambition, such misguided people have long ago lost sight of their centre of dignity, and have also lost sight of the truth of what is happening through them. If you respond to their temptings , cruelties and provocations as others have done, you will be an extension of them. You will give them power; you will confirm them in their evil ways, while being dragged along with them.

What hope then is there for either of you?

If you are on your centre, you will find objectivity, power and compassion; you will not be moved to resent your brother. You will hold fast because you will see that he is not himself, is nothing but a helpless robot, a pawn. In not hating or judging him, you are not tempted to disobey God. Then, by the power of not hating (patience), the same Truth in you that provides the power and compassion to stay calm, comes through as True Love to free your brother.

Confronted by such a witness, he is at first awakened to the Truth that hellish pleasure has helped him to forget and deny. He perceives the spirit of error, which he thought of as his own free will and true self. Often he is ashamed and then repentant, and in this state of repentance, the error leading him cannot prevail, and lets go of his mind. Thus you will have won your brother from the slavery of sin and death, and found more grace in yourself.

“Hate” (abhor) the sin, but not the sinner.

You do this by the power of God’s grace, and the understanding which He provides, to cleave the sin away from the sinner by your long-suffering patience towards him, which is the true love. By “judging” your brother to be evil, you condemn (tempt) him along with the sin itself. A person forbearing to judge (resent), allows God’s Light to come through his humbled soul to condemn only the sin. Love’s nature in you does not condemn (resent) your brother, so God’s love operating through you (patience) cleaves to him, and frees him from error.

But if he arrogantly hates God, and loves evil for its power to make him look good, then he will not only share the identity of evil but also its fate. We are neither good nor evil, but we identify with either extreme by our attitude of humility or pride. People are tempted to judge our judgment as we judge theirs, and we are tempted to judge each other, just like God will eventually judge the devil and all of his disciples: and so we produce much calamity.

Stay Aloof and Do Not Judge!

Remember, though, I have told you that through pride and judgment comes all forms of cruelty, temptation and wicked conspiracies even to his (Satan's) plan for the destruction of the whole earth. We become partakers of his identity and plan whenever we judge (resent), or otherwise conform to our tempted, possessed, proud brothers and sisters, When we judge, our pride becomes puffed and evil comes through it to tempt others to judge us also. We war about who is right, but never what is right!

So never accept people for what they seem, nor judge them for all their foolishness, but see and discern what they really are, and they will come to know themselves better. Don't like or hate--rather, love one another in a Christ like manner. Your love must be dispassionate, compassionate, calm and objective, detached from worldly loving and being loved, hating and being hated in return.

We can be separated from the power of the world by not looking to the institutions and people of the world for power and support, not wanting people to like and recognize us, and not hating or condemning those who don't accept us.
