Blessed be the pen of Suzanne Reyto, survivor of Holocaust and Communism. What she has documented below cries out to every family that has had loved ones butchered by the Sword of Islam!
We are living in La La Land here in Los Angeles. THE RABBIS MENTIONED BELOW LIVE THE LIFE OF COMFORT AND ROYALTY, FAR FROM THE REALITY OF THE BARBARIANS THEY'RE SUPPORTING. HERE ARE A FANATICAL GROUP OF LEFTISTS (ONE HUNDRED YEARS AGO, THE SHAME AND SHOCK OF SUCH APOSTASY WOULD HAVE BROUGHT DOWN TEARS FROM HEAVEN), WHO HAVE CREATED G-D IN THEIR OWN IMAGE, HOLDING COURT BY MEANS OF THE NEAR TOTAL LACK OF KNOWLEDGE ON THE PART OF THEIR CONGREGATIONS
It is absolutely unconscionable that these "rabbis" have the chutzpah to prostrate themselves before known enemies of the Jewish people. About "Rabbi" Wolpe, of Sinai Temple: Here is a man that has openly challenged the narrative of the Exodus from Egypt! At a "30 Years After" convention at the Century Plaza in Los Angeles, he bitterly remonstrated the large Persian audience about their "lack" of communal sensibility in not supporting the aspirations of the 20,000,000 illegal aliens in the United States, and specifically those hotel workers (many of whom most certainly are here illegally) who had a picket line at the hotel!
So I ask: IS THIS WHAT YOU ACCENTUATE BEFORE HUNDREDS OF PERSIANS, MANY OF WHOSE LOVED ONES DIED ESCAPING THE FASCIST KHOUMENI REGIME? WAS THIS THE MOMENT TO PUT A GUILT TRIP ON A COMMUNITY THAT HAS SEEN TRAGEDY IN THEIR ANCIENT HOMELAND, UPROOTING THEM AND SPITTING THEM OUT, EVENTUALLY COMING TO A LAND WHERE THEY COULD LIVE WITHOUT FEAR OF BEING KILLED BY RABID, BLOOD-THIRSTY JIHADISTS?
The Persians are polite and reverent, and no amount of rebuke and heaping of guilt upon them could get them to say: "Shut up, sit down, you don't know what the hell you're talking about!"

Worse yet, and woe unto us, THERE WERE COMMUNITY RABBIS THERE, AND THEY REMAINED SILENT. Our Torah tells us of the horrific consequences of acquiescing to, and not protesting evil deeds-- because of such silence as this was Jerusalem destroyed, and hundreds of thousands of its inhabitants murdered.
Let it be known: The pandering by the faint-hearted motley lot described below will cost human lives. The kowtowing before evil here in Los Angeles will have consequences on future battles in Israel and the Mid East. The hand of the barbarian is strengthened a thousandfold by acceptance and recognition from men who haven't the guts to say the truth, thereby lending a stamp of approval to murderous villains cavorting with three-piece suits.
We are asking all Americans of good will to vociferously and urgently make their churches, synagogues, and places of worship aware of what is happening here in the Jewish community of Los Angeles. By taking these miserable "leaders" to task, you are virtually working to save lives and prevent future tragedies.

In the Los Angeles area, home to the second largest Jewish community in the United States, many rabbis including Jonathan Klein, Steven Jacobs and Reuven Firestone support the Ground Zero Mosque. Rabbis Neil Comess-Daniels and Steven Carr Reuben, on the two holiest days in Judaism, chose overtly political sermons in support of the Ground Zero Mosque and the virtues of Islam.
Rabbi David Wolpe of Sinai Temple, the spiritual leader of one of the largest Conservative congregations in the United States, has been made aware, most recently by Morton Klein, President of ZOA, the Zionist Organization of America, about problems with Dr. Maher Hathout, a leading spokesperson for the American Muslim community. Hathout is co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) and one of the founders of — and senior advisor to — the Islamic Center of Southern California (ICSC). He supports attacks on Israel by the terrorist group Hezbollah and has called Israel a land of “butchers” and a system of “racist apartheid.” In January 2008, Hathout gave his Friday sermon on the “Tragedy in Gaza,” and defended Hamas’ rocket attacks on Israel’s civilian communities.

Despite these matters being brought to the attention of Rabbi Wolpe, he has not taken a position of protecting the Jewish Community from such hateful commentary. He even had the Sinai Akiba 7th graders visit the Islamic Center in Los Angeles for a first-hand experience and the youngsters were lectured by no less than Dr. Hathout himself.

Rabbi Shifren is a southern California native. He graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Spanish and German literature. He has been a language teacher in LA City schools since 1992. He is also fluent in Hebrew.
